some locations only show up when you are pretty much on top of them. I spent an hour and a half earlier re-checking islands for the last poi that i missed, even though all the map was uncovered

Yeah I find the buff wears off too quickly for me to stack properly and with Dueling Rapier and my pistol in offhand then I can stab or shoot when I can't get close

Player-Driven Bounty System: "Blood Gold"

1. Bounty Placement (The Grudge Board)
   Players can place bounties on other players through a central system called the Grudge Board, found in pirate hubs/taverns across the game world.

Placing a Bounty:

Any player can place a bounty on a player that has committed a crime against them

Must pay a fee in gold or high-value items (goes into the bounty pool).

Optional: Tag crimes (e.g., "Ship Theft", "Treasure Betrayal", "Fleet Ambush").

Bounty Details:

Name, ship, and rough last-seen location (auto-updated every X hours based on sightings or NPC rumors).

Difficulty rating (based on target's PvP track record and notoriety).

2. Bounty Hunting (The Hunter’s Code)
   Any player can act as a bounty hunter, tracking and engaging targets for rewards.

Tools for Hunters:

Rumor Maps: Bought or found, containing clues to recent target sightings.

Hunter Reputation: Increases with successful bounty claims, unlocking gear, cosmetics, and privileges (e.g., access to rare contracts).

It will depend on the multiplayer aspects of the game. Multiplayer-heavy games don't do offline mode normally, it comes with huge risks and problems. We'll see. It's an early alpha, so nothing is set in stone atm.

Even during stress tests, we did not use more than 150 people (and although this might seem like a small number, additional tools were used, which I cannot speak of sadly, to put stress on the servers which can feel like 20-30k people are playing on them)

We rent servers in several regions to have decent coverage. We don't have a huge budget for that (and again, that's early Alpha, so we are not trying to pump a huge amount of concurrent players).
Currently every player essentially plays on their own "server", apart from coop. And, of course it's all not very well optimised. I'm literally looking at CPU and memory load of the servers we rent daily and add more people in gradually, trying to make sure it stays beyond 90%.
It's a small test, and we're a small studio. I appreciate the fact that it exploded the way it did, I really do, but it does not magically give us a huge server infrastructure. Basically, a few hundred concurrent players is all we can hold safely ATM.

I have been fortunate enough to get one of these keys and I can assure you guys by the time this comes out it is going to be worth the wait! Just shy of 20 hours played in 2 days and not one Crash! Not a single one! Most stable Alpha I've ever tested! I just hpe this studio makes enough money on launch to aid in its continued development as the potential for this game is massive especially if they get the multilayer side down. yeah, you can only sell a little over 1k caps worth of stuff, and can only hold like 50k caps total, legendary scrip is also capped at 300, another resource is also capped

I'm 44 years old and have two children. I've played so many games, but I've never seen one as well-made and beautifully made as this one in pre-alpha. Of course there are the odd bug or two, so respect to the whole team and everyone involved. I hope I can get a key. By the way, I can't stand for or tolerate keys being sold or anything like that. I can't understand what people can do with just three or five bucks; they're setting themselves up for trouble. As soon as I see someone, I report them immediately. right now they are more testing their quests and pve content, I don't think much for pvp is in this test, at least nothing for rewards.

They are giving out keys for play testing. And streamers are just trying to make a buck. The devs arent making that money. Streamers are literally 'selling a game' they do not own. Thats illegal. Its not their IP to sell.

Did I report them? No. The devs stated that some streamers were caught selling Keys. I had nothing to do with it.

also, gating anything behind subscriptions is against twitch ToS

twitch tos is very clear on this matter, you may offer additional chances to followers and subscribers, but the base item must also be freely available without any strings

so a follower and subscriber could get 3 opportunities to win, but everyone regardless of follower or subscriber status has to be allowed the chance to win

Now that would be an option for the devs to mention to the content creators do not lock your chat to subscribers only

That is not entirely true, there are Twitch Drops that are for opportunities to win a key and not for a assured key, a couple of days ago I saw a drop of that style
