i scrubbed through your most recent VOD, i think you're doing a good job of talking through your ideas and reacting to things that are happening in game. for a game like this, it might help to have some more descriptive text in your stream title about what you're doing or working towards. as someone who has watched almost no content for this game, Cutter? FOUND! Bosun? DEAD! Next up? PRISONERS! means less than nothing to me.

your camera background is a little cluttered/distracting and might turn people off who are just browsing by thumbnail. otherwise though, the streaming grind is called a grind for a reason! make sure you're making clips of interesting/fun/scary moments and churning those into the algorithm machine!

thing currently the game only has the survival part of the game down.
it still lacks everything on the ocean (what is there is mostly just placeholders and proof of concept. it is not at all fleshed out) and then there is the whole PvP that is lacking.
there is also some issues with player in coop where while they are on the same world, it is desynced to the point they might aswell not be.
all stuff that a average person who buys a game even in EA would flame the forums about, (look at any EA title on steam)

the public treats an open access game as a release regardless of it titles (beta, Alpha, Early Access. whatever)

You can join them and they can join you - but the numbers for this playtest are small at the moment. will see where it goes later. The intent is that you'll go from your world area which is massive to the HUB and enjoy the MMO type aspects of the game with open world with other players for end game content, PVE/PVP raids, dungeons, etc.

@polar bone your personal area is your safe haven - you cannot be raided by players. PVP isn't the focus of this playtest - That is still in development and will be in another playtest later - as it is you can I believe engage in ship to ship combat. Do we know how the devs are feeling so far? It must be positive considering this Alpha looks smoother and more fleshed out than a majority of Betas do these days. Hype for the game is high, even to the point where they'd have to be concerned about meeting demand at release day. The issues seem to be quite minimal for an Alpha as well and they are responding/fixing any big issues in a very acceptable timeframe.
While I'd love to get my hands on the game, I understand this is for the devs to test things and it seems like everything is going great so far.

I'm not sure how servers will work, but all players get a private world. Then if you want to co-op you can invite players, or if you want to socialise you can go to the player trade hub.

Where we will also have the possibility of doing PvP with many more other people like official servers or private servers.

Currently there is a small dedicated pvp zone for ship battles. The devs have also stated plans to allow people to duel in player hubs in some form.
Everything is subject to change, expansion or adaption though as they are 12+ months from release at this point

If anyone having random crashes in game and have nvidia, I recommend download 566.38 drivers which are most stable drivers for most games. I had constant random crashes with this and some other games, changes to 566.38, done, 0 crashes.

Re-check the chests. if one of them says 'refills in 12 hours' or something in the top right corner, it's not the chest that counts towards the completion. Only the ones that 'you can only loot once' count toward it
