They started a couple days ago letting in about 50, then slowly starting increasing it - and will continue to do so - they being smart by not trying to crash the servers with the flood gates open and instead monitor and adjust the system and keep adding more in. So far the game has been performing very well.

From my understanding you can't currently and probably wont ever be able to host your own locally - which makes sense with the server structure they're going for
Even your own "singleplayer" world is connected to the web of servers because you're able to travel to hubs and I guess eventually other gameplay areas that are linked with everyone else

once they see the server can handle more, more keys will be handed out .. so just be patient and cross your fingers ... there is also not really content for 4 weeks so you are not missing anything if you get access a week later

Everything in the playtest so far has been great, the only 2 issues I have are with some of the building being a bit funky, I place a wall one way and it comes out another. and how dashing those un-parryable attacks from zombies and boars charging is a very tight window but that might just be a skill issue for me.

There are no coop only worlds. Your characters progression is tied to your account. So if you join a friends world you keep your equipment and level.

theres a program called PC Cleaner, when you uninstall stuff it asks if you want to delete all the files of a game, might delete all of it for you
