@real light When steam randomly gives out access it isnt by code, it's by adding to the account to download, However, if a key is given in a giveaway and someone wishes to give you that key instead of using it, they can do that.

However I'm pretty sure anyone that wins a key is going to want to use it.

Well the thing is that also doesn't really matter, they know the playercount and they know the ratio of invites to players so they can use that to control how they want to stress test, etc. One thing to think about is that it's a long playtest, they could be planning on having a sub 500 playercount and stress testing the servers with population the last weekend only.

yes, correct, 215 players 3 days into a 4 week test that is the first test thats not under an NDA. Why is it so hard to grasp the concept of patience? The test is not over, we have a whole month ahead of us. On the first day it were only 30 people online and now its above 200, there will be more and more opportunities. Its not like you are paying money for anything, it's not like you specifically were promised to play, this is not the only game in the world. Most of the people will not get to play during this test and that's ok, there will be more tests, this is all just to ensure the game works correctly.
