We got our very FIRST public ALPHA playtest, we clearly indicated this fact throughout our communications, and all we ask in return is just little patience and understanding.

The playtest itself will be live for at least a month. We're sending out invites in waves, and even if you didn't make it this time (this day/week/playtest), it doesn't mean you wouldn't play later on.

The fact that you treat this Alpha-playtest as a full-scale-let-everyone-in beta-test/game release speaks for itself, but we're simply not there yet. Hopefully, we get there eventually 🫡

Tortuga you need to unlock, simply follow quests as early game there's no point in going over there in my opinion.

The best way to do that, I guess, is to use streamer to spread the word. ^^ Thanks to that more people will wishlist, more people will maybe invest their money, when it's available for pre order and that means bigger budget for the game.

I'd argue also some sort of way to know when you are strong enough for it.
I basically ran around way too weak and struggled like crazy for way too long before I decided ... Maybe I shouldn't run around with the starter pistol

I know that people are watching the streams and the trailer and want into this alpha because it looks awesome (I'm still wondering if my definition of "alpha game" greatly differs from the devs) but remember, the game isn't due for release for another year and a half and thats if it doesn't get delayed. Also the game isn't fully there yet. There is no pvp, I think there is only 3 bosses to fight right now, and I don't think they player hub is up yet, and they only have 3 regional servers up and running right now.

Games take time to develop and test and really good games can take longer. Remember this game has been in development for 2 YEARS before it even got to this point. There will be more keys and more opportunities to play this game AND when new builds come out the game will be that much better.
