At a certain point you can just purposely stand in mechanics for free mark of arrogance procs. I stand in horridon's swipes for example. Not all mechanics proc it though.

Another factor you should understand is that this game mode does not require you to have knowledge on the spec your playing to actually do damage
a LOT of people are playing new classes / specs just to level up alts
and they don't feel the need to minmax in a fun mode where things die anyway

for crit specifically, can depend on the tinkers u run
with opportunist, u can build 20-50%, (low end if u time master assassin with crit bonus from tinker)
with lightning rod, idk specifics since its a scaling thing, so safe bet to reach 50-70%
u can eventually just drop master assassin

Think about it this way, gear +gems will give you absurd amounts of stats to an X amount. Cloak will make it so you can exceed that amount infinitely

I solod the last boss in heroic MSV by doing nothing. Just stood there and let the tinkers do the work.

with a similar ilvl group

HoF 5th boss can wipe a party if it MCs the 476 player, which is mostly my problem with HoF, and terrace last boss is a timer, if there is not enough DPS / people don't pass the orb it becomes a problem
Besides I've stopped farming the cloak ever since I got my first SoO mythic kill, so it's just faster and smoother if I bring a 476 friend along

They changed stat scaling from 60-70 so it messed things up and 476’s were actually dying
But I just did heroic soo in like 45 minutes so I think it’s fine now lol
