#Dragon's Dogma 2

does anyone know where do you get the ring that nulls fire and if it works with it?
thats the problem
they only do it like
once out of 12 times
and you dont know if its cus of the plague or cus their pathfinding ai sucks
as long as you dont rest at an inn its fine right
and the only "sings" i had are: in the last 4 hours of playing i had 3 comments that where weird/dont fit the pawns
and 1 of them has SLIGHTLY different eyes
no "looks sick" idle animation at all, waited for 4min and never saw that one happen
and again, impossible to tell if they dont do commands because of the plague or because their pathfinding makes them stuck
ye
the problem
resting at a Inn/a home is how you update your pawn in the system/your pawn comes back from other players
whats the next big rpg release
think i was let down a bit by this one haven't really felt the desire to play after getting to battahl
i think it might be metaphor from atlus
black myth wukong looks cool too but there's a bunch of question marks, unknown studio and ambitious project and all that
war within is this year too ig but i dont think i count wow
SMT V: vengance this year
waaaay to niche tbh
||underground entrance somewhere else nearby||
nah
well, thats one way
||you can shoot open the door from the other side through a window||
that option works on a few different occasions
đź‘€
How did i never think of that
Prob bc im a thief and not ranged
Tho sometimes i wondee
Why cant a fucking warrior
never forget what they took from hs
With a 90kg super mace
when they turned strider into two classes
Cant smash that door
thief used to have bows
I know
I mean i honestly like it more bc both got more personality from being divided
But also ig i got a bit tired of thief
But im also still early game after....
30 hours
pretty sure strider got everything both thief and ranger got minus like 2-3 abilities lol
Idk if my save is haunted or what but every step i take theres a minotaur
you might not be as early as you think
Im at uh
Doing the quests that a certain person gives
To progress the main story
The 3 quests
But ngl im doing every single sidequest i can before that
yeah only like 2 of those take longer than 3 minutes to do lol
all of the ones that take place in the capital are like instant
I think the reason im taking long is that im enjoying exploring so much that i forget i have ferrystones
Except when i really need them
But i prob only used 3 so far
And have like 15 in my inventory
Also i got gifted an item that tells u where the coins are so... ig im gonna get even more lost in exploring
I keep finding the most unhinged spots for caves or chests
I refuse to believe the interactive map shows everything
In fextralife
I only ever use it when i need to find an npc that isnt in the zone bc the fucker is sleeping or doing groceries or who knows
@ionic mason https://www.twitch.tv/handiofiblood/clip/PiercingMoralEggnogJonCarnage-1OjMie7tD4lvalmq
youll appreciate this one
thief is just strider but better, beyond not having a bow
it doesnt, its missing a bunch of stuff and has a bunch of stuff in the wrong places
70% of the "mainstory" is "go into the castle and interact with something"

if you use the formless skill you can also use the fire ultimate and not take dmg
super cool
as rogue
that looks like some scripted shit
i also used 2 wakestones on my first fel lord was funny everything was going well
then he one tapped me in a charge
used stone then he did a screen slam
and one tapped me again
ye fel lords are kinda
not nice
mostly cuz they seem completely immune to knockdown
yea i got cocky ran out of stamina
that is a death sentence for thief
i also forget you can just pause and use items
or have them on hotbar
could have used a stamina item etc game is easy but they know how to make cool fights so like the DLC in DD1 i expect great things
those mobs were metal
gore cyclops

those guys where a real panic attack fight
if the leaks are to be believed
the first expansion will drop in autumn
not sure how i feel about it, considering its likely gonna be like 40$ again or smth...
well really depends i dont know what to think about right now tbh
Sweet White Ocean incomming
gimme beholders, hydras and a bunch of other stuff please and thank you
having to rest 14times for a boss to respawn

fucking hell
my elite camping kit id always get back after camping
is gone now
cuz i got raided
during the camp

and you only get it back after successful rest ig
what a scam
fuck remind me to get a forgery of that one
damn i was fighting a super cool undead mob that was blue and he dipped when it got to morning
ahaha
i was fighting a lich and it flew too far and disappeared after falling off a cliff
wight =!= lich
i mean liches are just the second tier of wight
theres only one lich in the game tho
dont see how that changes anything
cause the lich isnt in a location where it can fall off a cliff
was unironically the hardest fight in the game for me
due to how its set up
ultimately doesnt really matter, just important for farming purposes since every boss type has specific drops they dont share with others
what monster was the blue knight i fighted it was like a fel lord on crack
dullahan
yea that one is metal
sadly didnt have enough dmg
and morning came
well time to sleep also unlocked mystic spear boi
i feel i have no idea what im doing with spearhand
but thats prob bc it gets stuff at higher vocation lvl
at lvl 1 u kinda just, attack
its all about constantly charging the stun bolt during attacks and weaving stuff in during attacks
cus later the stun bolt gets multiple uses (can blink to a enemy you stunnes with a charged bolt/can let the bolt do a aoe explosion)
the small projectiles skill can be used during every single animation for bonus dmg, heavy attack is slow and leaves you open but hits VERY hard (even more when a enemy is staggered/knocked down)
mystic spear gets onnline at like, rank4-5, and then just goes full crazy
or just be thief and explode yourself while being super dodge man
i do find funny you can dodge the explosion with the other secrec tech
dodge the fire on your skin
so im guessing...
the stability extracts found in the bourdeliere
are...
to keep...
things stable...
i got a bit tired of thief heh
or at least how i was playing it
spin 2 win
wanted to try other stuff
not a fan that 4 of thief's abiltiies are like, weak spots stuff that is just basically 1 big attack there and extremely hard to pull off bc weird hitboxes
idk why the bolt following skills arent working for me
like im trying to blink with it but wont work
OOOOOOH
its with the charged bolt
not the normal one
ye
all the things need a charged bolt
charging a Bolt ->blink at an enemy->do the upward teleport attack never getd old against big enemys cus you just reached their head instantly
finally
last medusa dropped 2 bones at once

even with wyrmfire upgrade its still 8kg
damn that is hefty
gotta rank up Fighter for that carry weight augment

my pawn is almost done
4ranks archer+sorcer left
then all vocations maxed
and i can finally decide what i actually want with him
already did
62kg weight as archer but
ye
the weight isnt really the issue, its that every attack costs like 4x the stamina
but mobs also give 4x the XP if i get the killing blow
idk why the archer statgain is so dogshit tho
like
the last 3 levels
ive gotten 0, 2 and 0 strength
but ive gotten 9, 5, and 7 magick?
statgain is overall random af
played sorc a bit and had levels where i gained 0magic but 7strenght
ye its weird
i mean
you dont even have a melee attack

my sorc pawn is annoying me
basically casting meteor 24/7
but never augural flare

but i think im kinda done with the game anyway
really not seeing any reason to play more, killed everything, solo'd everything once
get all seekers medalions
yo wait what
the "more physical/magical deffence" augments are frking 30% lol
fuck
i used an elvish augment without knowing it gave shit stats for strer
on a bow
how much is the diff vs vermudian?
vermund is balanced, balak or whatever its called is str
idk the exact numbers tho
if u fuck up a one of item u gotta ng+ to get it again rip
i saw an article about how the unmaking arrow is phenomenal game design, but where was that energy during dd1
nah it was a vendor bow at least
does wayfarer level all ur vocations, or just whatever ones weapons u have equipped
iirc it veeeeeery slowly levels them aswell
but tbh, by the point you get warfarer you are more or less supposed to allready have "finished" your vocation choices
except magick archer cus for some reason you unlock that vocation sooooo fucking late
Very minor
this is a game where most enemys die in seconds
those 0,5% enchant differences aint doing shit in reality
When dragons dogma 3
(dragonflight was not this year)
@tawny heron btw, how did you cross the border into the desert land
cus i could not get trought the gate, a cart was comming, i just walked inside the cart and took a illegal ride with it trought the border gate
even gave a achievment and the border guards attack me on sight for beeing illegal
can pass either in the west or east
theres a cave in the east that goes all the way down to battahl
was just funny to get a "you did an illegal border crossing" achievment by smuggeling myself in with a cart

friend got into battahl at lvl20 by beeing on the back of a gryphon, that one looked funny aswell
ye theres a few ways
the magick archer unlock is so stupid
why can you find magick bows from the very beginning of the game, have vendors that sell their gear
when unlocking the class is on the last zone in the game with a vendor that sells the best gear

ye
like, they litearlly ARE magick archers
thats the entire point of the elven archer quest
that the guy learns "normal" archery instead of their magick archery
ye cus they are magick archer and their stuff just hits
homing misles yo
cultural aimbot usage
it was just a funny quest where the dude couldnt understand why he was ass at the bow and then dropped that line
like, sorry but the vocation unlocks should all be in Vermuth
aka you get a quest there that leads you somewhere, and you get the vocation afterwardss
like sorcerer/warrior
they should all at least have an attached quest that starts in vermuth yea
and warfarer late
warfarer beeing in the last zone? sure, its a class that needs you to having maxed out multiple other classes in the first place
my pawn is ok now
I stream on Twitch ( https://www.twitch.tv/luality ) most days, come watch me suffer daily! Or inflict suffering. Please.. Like.. Comment.. Subscribe.. Hit the darn bell.. Just to please the AI overlords, all those little things help a lot. And please come say hi to me on Twitch, I will be extra nice if you say you came from YouTube.. Don't tell...
she does rlly well to explain why i like this game and not elden ring
Yeah, it's one of those few games that really wanna make you explore
i really like exploring yea
You may not always come back with a new piece of loot, but you come back with a memorable experience
a big part of that is the lack of fast travel
you dont just go to a dungeon or cave, explore it, and teleport back
theres a reason i call games like skyrim "themepark simulators", because the game is basically just one massive themepark with a bunch of clearly marked attractions, but the journey from one attraction to another is entirely boring and feels like a waste of time
yea and when you are not super strong sometimes you have to bail
like the classic at the beginning if one of the bisons die
and you get ganked by a gryphon
or the dragon that can spawn next to the lizard village or the one in the battlefield
ye
tbf the dragon in melve is actually a scripted event
gryphons attacking ox-carts are not
gryphons are just coded to track and attack cows
no i was talking about the one in harve
sometimes if you go there he is just chilling
yea theres a few that hang around harve
imagine you are lvl 10
and you that fucker
funnily enought there is also a bandit thingy there too
oh that one
ye
you still soemtimes get the gryphon vs dragon action or ogre vs minotaur etc.
@tawny heron im in the ||unmoored world|| rn, and can i be honest
its kinda lame that the best gear comes....from a vendor.....

i was hoping the enemies there had like
special drops and shit
like bbi cursed items

like, i killed a lesser dragon, got a chest armor and thought "cool, so the bosses here drop the best stuff?" just to see that normal vendors sold the same shit AND the dragon items are just better
not all of them, but ye
hoping expansio ndoes a lot of stuff to the itemization and stuff
so you can do a bit more fashions dogma
item wise
but hey, atleast my pawn is broken now
like upgrading items to the "best" stats or smth
stunlocking drakes by himself
and 1,1k knockdown res is not overkill
tbh, knockdown res feels so mandatory
only because knockdown/stagger is annoying as fuck
formless is bae too i miss it while i leveled other things
Theres a few of scripted events
Like some cyclops in some area entrances
Or the cyclops in the river that u have to let the water flow
But even if scripted doesnt mean they are must done to progress
I take em kinda like
Tutorial encounters
The river cyclops is to teach u about using the enviorement
Doesnt rlly hold ur hand tho just has an npc saying it might be a good idea, but i kinda just shitted on it before that lol
Ok i confirmed whats the thing about open world that dd2 does so well in comparison to others.... by playing final fantasy 11
The mmo is... extremely old but it gives kinda the same vibe as dd2, and maybe classic wow u could say?
Ofc in dd2 theres way more to explore or find than in an early 2000s mmo, but its the feeling of exploring an unknown zone with nothing more than a small map tracking your steps or some coordinates or visual guidance that doesnt spoil the sense of exploring to simply guide you
But also the reason you get so inmersed (in my case) is the sense of danger and that u cant just stop right there in middle of a dangerous zone
Like i mean, u can ofc
yeah
But in those trips or quests that u feel your life is constantly on the line, while u could stop the game there, something tells u to keep going and see the end of it
like i said, the inability to just fast travel out, or rather, the high cost associated with it, makes it give it a sense of danger
especially because you often start travelling in the morning
then you find a cave, you explore it, you come out, and its pitch fucking dark
Yea
my only problem is just that the monster variety is cooked
so then you kinda try to find your way back to a campfire or a city in the middle fo the night
theres less than base game dd1
And nothing is stopping u from closing the game after the cave
But something inside tells u
which adds a whole other layer of exploration and danger to it. its just dont really well imo
ye dd2 monster variety is severely lacking
like the exploration is cool and all theres just like no payoff to it
you arent gonna find equipment you cant buy, you arent gonna find a new cool monster to fight 90% of the time
well
in the early stages theres stuff you find
that are major upgrades
while the vendor selection is limited
Is the first dd1 everyone gets to experience the 1.0 game as it came out fresh or is it a dlc+base game
Bc it has dark arisen in the title so idk if its like
Both in 1
its both
i played both dd1 and dd da
dark arisen adds bitterblack isle
da was phenomenal dlc, fixed the game basically
coincidentally also a different director
Maybe dd2 needs a dark arisen to be fully cooked
noticed that itsuno didnt put a single monster in from the games he didnt direct
he also didnt put everything in from base dd1 lol, not even like saurian kings or gargoyles
wdym
i mean tbf kenoshita was lead game designer on dd2
yea but he clearly didnt get as much say
I mean capcoms been on a roll but the games defo had issues
knowing theyll put a bunch more and new ones into the DLC
so the game feels fresh from start to finish
I remember RE village
one issue that dark arisen had, was that it was very selfcontained
thats from their shitty drm
Which dd2 has
I didnt finish the main game yet (im struggling with keeping with 5 games at the same time) but sure
I feel like
The story has a very predictable ending
what story lol
I mean.... theres a story somewhere...
certainly snippets of one
take it with a massive grain of salt
i dont believe that seli
only bc of the price point lol
30$ for a game the size of one they just charged 70 for
like, dd2 feels incomplete for a reason
but ye like i said
take it with a grain of salt ofc
nov 29th is the supposed date
dd2s story is basically terrible
tbh instead of a new region id rather another big dungeon
dd1 already didnt have a huge story but like
like DA felt like a dnd module
I think dd2 suffers from breath of the wild syndrome
it was infinitely better than dd2 imo
Everyone is there for the exploration and combat
ye but the problem with BBI was that it was self contained and high level requirement
But very few talk about the plot
so you basically couldnt explore it until you finished the game
or were very good at the game
which is fine i feel for an expansion
so for returning players it was just a big "oof" moment
to go through the game again or get back into it
they could do what dragon age did and just let u create a character that starts at the dlc
like they did for awakening
and suddenly fight gorecyclops, elder ogres, cockatrices etc.
but ye idk
i prefer everfall over dd2 postgame, personally
both story wise and like
gameplay wise for sure
gameplay wise ig dd2 postgame is nice
but onlyk for a few hours
regardless, i got my moneys worth from dd2 so im happy
Do it the dark souls way, stick ur nose where u shouldnt and get sucked into a portal and then crushed by a giant hand
dd2 postgame suffers from the monster variety issue
i just regret starting as sorc
and steamrolling the game
and i didnt even find any of the busted sorc gear on my first playthrough
i havent finished yet, my laptop has shit the bed so i havent done any gaming
building a pc next week
theres 2 things i miss in dd2
its the regular party banter when fighting small enemies, like pawns telling you to jump and cut off lizard tails for example
I would be ok if whatever new zone had an easy teleport to the hub, its the only spammable fast travel id accept
and enemies are way too passive
But it only works between 2 hubs
i feel like theres too many enemies near the roads too
its like constant combat from point a to b of small fry
they dont really get in your face
you get ambushed by 6 or 7 vietkong goblins and they all leap at you once, and then they stand there for like 5 seconds watching you cast a spell
my experience has been everytime you go to shoot an arrow they kncok you down
archer is miserable lol
idk
i loved archer
and heavenly shot is great
onetapping any dragon or gryphon flying over water
no reason to farm levels lol
i mean 20-30lvl difference is pretty big
you go from 2 phasing things to 1 phasing them
ye it quickly becomes a matter of "how fast can i kill this" instead of a fight for survival
but thats fine by me
ever play nioh
or nioh 2 ig
game goes from a soulslike on ng to diablo by the time you get to ng+2 bc of gear drops lol
you steamroll as everything
except Trickster
cus trickster is barely functional
i had no issues with trickster either idk
the damage buff you give your pawns is fucking massive
and you get your legendary ability for free when you get the class
so you have it from level 1

allright, finished the game
Only 91 hours?
it transfers all the time anyway
- has 200000 sings and takes ages until something actually happens tbh
still a really badly implemented and halfbaked mechanic with no real value, but its borderline impossible to get affected by it unless it bugs out
i think the only reason its there is so ur constantly swapping pawns
and dont stick with a main 2
could something better be implemented? yeah ig so
but i mean idk, its like really scary to hear "your pawn might get a joker moment" so u constantly are swapping and checking on them rather than just grab and go idk
it couldve been implemented better tho for sure
the funny part is
the plague has 10 "stages"
and the symptoms get more obvious on each stage, eye glow stronger, they disobey more often etc....., and the stages progress when ingame time Progresses or you rest
and the town nuke only happens at stage 10 when you rest in a town, everything before that does nothing
but everytime you rest the plague gets transfered to another pawn in your group and reset to stage 7
so if you regulary rest in camps, it does litearlly nothing at all lol
im trying trickster
i find it an amazing class and cool concept that doesnt work rlly well in this game bc the combat then just revolves in cheesing enemies
but also
id love to see something like it in an mmo
like a "warlock" tank but the pet tanks and you guide it and also buff ur allies and u dont rlly deal damage but manage buffs/debuffs/field conditions
i feel it'd make so much more sense in an enviorement with other people
just treat ur pawns like pets and now ur just playing a full on pet class
biggest issue with trickster is that while you can instakill most enemies by tricking them, you dont get their loot as a result

but i found the damage buff to be very substantial
just wish some of the skills had more range
Trickster is just a warfarer class tbh
Trickster+mage staff for heals+some weapon that doesnt need many skills to be effective, daggers or Bow or Sword+shield, something like that
wtf is sorcerer
prescient flare isnt a skill its a hydrogen bomb
literally took 3 healthbars off a big birb by putting it in the head then spamming bolts
ye the upgraded version is, err, kinda silly
lol
the spoilermen
hacha here too now make that 6
i was here since day 0
no im still in cat city lol
well i mean im trying to do every single shit and find every single shit
im in ng+ and still cant decide if i want my pawn as a fighter or warrior ok?

o7
this elf comes in naked in the hot spring to teach me to be a hunter
what did he mean by this
Ye I wasn't focused mb, got distracted irl, give me some time to come back up brb
if you all wanna try a new game that has the same oompfh as dd2 i recommend Granblue Fantasy Relink
its anime and weeby yeah but it has that feeling of big bosses and cooperation, treasure hunting and amazing combat
its linear but it's open linear as in you can explore a lot in the maps and theres a lot of hidden stuff and parkouring
the bosses can also be co-op and raid-like hard
this is the lvl 30 mid mainstory boss :p
problem with granblue fantasy is its just piss easy
so....like DD2?
yeah but when ur game is a monhun clone you kinda need difficulty at some point
fair point
dd2 is an adventure game where the difficulty isnt the end all be all
honestly, 1 thing i think is just kinda lame
is that the "stuff that happend when i was in another players world" dialoge you get after restig is just random stuff and not what actually happend
gave my pawn the quest to kill a chimera cus he is at 27 out of 30 kills for the Badge, came back with no progress made but then tells me how he fought a chimera, stuff like that
AI in relink is just too strong, unironically
Since they always hit their perfect evades and blocks
how far did u reach
at the beginning is easy unless u arent playing in hard mode
but at the end of the day you also have co-op raids
i grinded out the entire terminus weapon
so safe to say i have completed the game lmao
gallanza+maglielle duo was the hardest fight in the game imo, rest is just evade/block spam and even if youre not super good yourself, AI can carry you through every fight if you have decent gear for them
criminal that the end game "grind" fight was proto bahamut bc god
imagine if monhun was like "farm zorah magdaros forever"
ye idk
i havent done luci yet
but kinda dont even feel like returning, game just needs some changes in regards to damage cap and the RNG on curios and shit
just boring how every character build is kinda the same
war elemental, supp damage, damage cap and then you maybe have 2-3 free supports for ap if you need it or evades/potions
yeah im not gonna reinstall for a single fight
esp when the reward for it is more damage cap sigils to further homogenize every character lol
ye
thats pretty much every rpg tbh
not really, no
even if that were the case, which it isnt, the fact they have such a deep system and then fuck themselves over with the damage cap system, is their own fault
your only level 30 so it isnt clear yet but once you get to the endgame youll see what we mean
theres so much cool stuff you could theoretically do build wise, but it all ends up being inferior, and like, massively inferior, to the one go-to build that every character has to play
ig that's sad to hear bc so far its starting with a bang
and i do play the mobile game so i know they know how to be difficult
but also suffer from a meta issue but that's more like the community not wanting to try stuff out and stick with what they already spent 1000000 hours of farm
its a very enjoyable game
like, dont let what we said discourage you or anything
its just more of a "play it through once" thing unless you really wanna play like 10 different characters
pawn AI is beatuifull sometimes
https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma2/mods/774/
Sorry for poor quality and poor editing, This is sort of the bare minimum to show off the mod.
people starting to make custom vocations
alchemist is basically a 1:1 copy from alchemist in dragons dogma online
crazy stuff
cant wait for thomas the tank engine bossfight
