honestly there's not much here except bad rng and getting gapped by externals, you played fine
you know your kill time so you could've synced deathmark/vanish harder here, wouldn't have lost a cast
you also could've held your second shiv for deathmark more
like here your vanish is just not even the same universe as your deathmark
that's no good
and it just gets worse and worse
so that's the big rotational thing I see
but that's really about it
you didn't overcap cp, you didn't overcap energy
just not much you can do when you don't have a windfury and end up only having a 40% crit on mut and 30% crit on envenom
unlucky, next week
yeh that's really about all there is, minor deathmark issues, and just get more juice

Everything you said seems like nothing omega major but I got a grey log for it??? That's wild, I thought I'd maybe like blue in my gear or something.
I think I might fundamentally misunderstand deathmark, shiv and vanish as CDs.
Is vanish garrote used after deathmark is applied?
Do I always make sure to double shiv deathmark? Why? Is it because it also does nature damage somehow?
yeah logs are pretty volatile atm especially in some of the mythic bosses
there's a lot of pi's and shit flying around on sin rogues
basically the top 100 all have PI's to some extent
it's a pretty bleak hellscape
but that's kinda how it be
you're competing with people who are getting windfury, getting pi, who have better rng than you
some of these logs you're just missing like 200 autos and they're getting 20% more envenoms than you
you can't compete with that even with perfect play
rotationally I can't find that many mistakes
so it's not like you're playing bad
it's just parses in this case aren't your friend if you happen to have an unlucky kill or an off-night
anyway, regarding deathmark
Dumb question, why does windfury give more envenom?
windfury gives more autos, gives more dashing procs, gives more energy, gives more mut, gives more envenom

I was comparing to a couple of logs and you're down like 400 energy just from dashing alone
with some average crit rate that's like 10 envenoms right there
deathmark duplicates poisons, so shiv actually just gets to hit twice as many poisons
lot of people think of shiv as an envenom buff
and while it does do that, it's better to think of it as an uptime debuff
the more shiv uptime you get, the better
and when shiv can buff twice as many poisons
that's good shit
vanish garrote + deathmark is a bit of a weird one, because on the one hand the sims syncs them, but not really
so the sim currently does the whole opener, refreshes the vanish during deathmark when the first gets into pandemic
and then it holds that timing forever
so vanish will always come in like 5-10 seconds into deathmark
in reality when someone is playing on a fight, it's probably better for them to deathmark + vanish together
like deathmark -> vanish gar -> shiv -> rotation
or vanish gar -> deathmark
whatever
the order isn't really the important thing here
but duplicating the empowered garrote is something the sim agrees with
it just doesn't agree with hard-syncing them together like that
because it's a dumb robot
and it misses like 0.15 casts of deathmark on average over 15000 fights
and says it's not worth
because it's a fucking scumbag
but the rule still stands that duplicating empowered garrote is something you should aim for
So is my sin sim probably lower than it should be? Because I got super frustrated by this log and was like fuck it I'll just play sub since it Sims like 3k above my sin
especially when you know you won't miss a cast of either cooldown from doing it
no your sim is fine
it just optimizes for the average of 15,000 fights
rather than 1
you're a human who knows terros dies between 6:35 and 6:45
a sim has variance in order to combat weird timing issues that happen when you get so specific
so for the sim
it doesn't think vanish gar deathmark is worth it
because you have to hold deathmark for like 10 seconds
and it needs those 10 seconds at the end of the fight on some of its iterations
you're capable of thinking past a statistical average
so you should hold for that timing
Is my spec ok? The guy in my guild you see for that log was running exsanguinate bleed with less execute points. I don't know if that's a real build now but he died before even getting the final exsang in and still best my grey
yeah your builds fine
it's just a poison dtb
you can test out whether a bleed dtb or a bleed kb build does better for you
there's import strings in the pins in #assassination
but there's basically like 45 different builds
and they all perform about the same
there's nothing "wrong" with your build
The kingsbane bleed build isn't harder to play really right, just the opener?
And I suppose making sure to perfect exsanguinate windows
