you have 2 (3 if in m+) bleeds: Rupture, garrote (and crimson tempest)
they must have as close to 100% uptime as possible
You open with ambush so you apply deathstalkers mark
you use your finishers when you have 5 OR more CPS
You only force max CPs (7) to use the darknest night buff, and reapply the deathstalkers mark in the process
Ok, Stealth, Shadowstep, and then Ambush
thats one way to do it yeah,
on wowhead, copy the bleed build from the talent section
works extremely well in world content too
I did, I am using Icy Vein for rotation, because idk what is wowhead is talking about with the rotation
Wowhead is written by Whispyr, icy is written by Seli, both are in this discord
USUALLY wowhead gets updated first
and icy follows
they are both very smart and handsome
incredible in bed too
like, sleeping well?
ye
minmaxxing sleep
Any take on which is best atm for m+ and which is going to be pumping on season 3
Nope as its 1000% going to change before it goes live anyway
Just play what you find fun idk
True.. what about for now? Outlaw right?
Does it matter? Are you going for a late title push?
Just trying to figure out. However have a nice day
Just, play what you enjoy
Is the best answer.
All three specs have different feels to them, no point suffering through a spec you don't vibe with for content where it isn't required
Good point
Today I learn that rogue is very soft
Not really
So, I am the problem, once thing
You could argue assa is squishier than the other two
if dmg happens, press feint
ptr down?
no im on it rn
Yeah outlaw and sub are crazy tanky
Why is that?
sub/Outlaw both have talents that make them more tanky, assa doesnt
so assa is "only" the base rogue deffensive kit (which is still really fucking strong outside of giga high m+, but the game aint balanced for that anyway)
Fair, thanks
outlaw likes vers also
Ye sub and outlaw (especially outlaw) also gets a ton of vers, ontop of the multiple extra defensive talents they have
yea every extra bit of % is very noticeable when you go higher
makes hp be more valuable and shields are stronger on you etc
only rogue weakness have been long constant dmg that is not aoe
something like magmorax
that one ate rogues for breakfast
Hey guys and girls, how does rogue look next patch so far? and what is the go to spec for raiding this current tier/next tier (what you know)?
We have no rogue in guild and RL asked me if i wanna give it a try. Only played outlaw rogue in season 4 shadowlands as an alt, but was fun back then. Guessing it has some major changes since then tho xD
and also, is it hard to learn?
In terms of how we're looking next season, its going to be hard to say as there's going to be a bunch of changes so, anything could happen. In terms of hard to learn, sin in raid is pretty easy, sub is a bit trickier but I didn't find it too bad. Outlaw, I'm not so sure about. But it ain't that bad to learn.
wich spec performs best atm? or are they all pretty equal maybe? and for m+ current season is it outlaw then?
yea but now, season 2 🙂
literally any spec works
okey
Well, it depends on what your guild is doing. If you ain't going RWF then... any spec works absolutely fine and it'd be best to choose based on what you enjoy rather than numbers wise.
^
Because all of the specs have different playstyles and there's no point forcing yourself to play a spec with a playstyle you don't like just for an extra .5% DPS in content where, it ain't needed.
yea but i dont know what i will enjoy since i havent played it before xD
then try them all
Best thing to do is give them a shot and see.
i can give you a tldr
what's that? tldr?
Too long didn't read, the cliff notes version
outlaw: pirates yargh pewpew go fast lots of coffee and energy drinks AAAAAAAH my hands hurt!!!!!;
sub: naruto shadowclones, purple = win;
assassination: melee affliction warlock
Playing the class and seeing which you enjoy is probably the best thing to do, then.
yea think so to, coming from ret pala and bm/mm hunter to rogue, not many simularities xD
In terms of gameplay styles:
Assassintion: Dot uptime otherwise hit envenom
Sub: Cooldown management and setting up burst windows
Outlaw: GOTTA GO FAST FSHUFHSDUFHDUFVHDU
Thats pretty much it
Sub is purple, which makes it the best.
He has a point
actually does sound like outlaw is the closest to ret pala/bm hunter in terms of playstime, yargh pewpew gotta go fast yadayada
Tweek homie, try them all for a while until you can decide which playstyle fits you better
outlaw is probably the hardest rogue spec rn
yea i will try them all
If your damage is bad on outlaw just say something about low rolling
But yeah, best thing to do, give each spec a shot and see how you feel with it. Any questions just drop a line in here!
Next season outlaw maybe plays fatebound
Bad rtb + no lucky coin + input lag + astral alignment
I couldn’t have played better
lucky coin should not be rng anymore is it?
thanks! will do 🙂
Very helpful and kind community here 🙂
you might be right, i dont look at the pirates channel
I don't know how outlaw works, the outlaw channel scares me
Assa and Sub both use double daggers. Outlaw uses a 1H Melee weapon (Sword / Axe/ Fist / Mace) main-hand. So it's relatively simple to swap between the three specs to try stuff out.
just don't spread the word... we're the toxic ones
Oh if you play outlaw in raid though
Also good luck reading anything in the outlaw channel because they can't go more than 2 words without hitting enter
You’re kinda hard locked in if you craft a sword
If you play sin and sub you can more freely swap between them
By the time it matters you'll probably know what you enjoy the most, but that's a very good consideraiton to have.
And you are kinda the guy that gets a dagger if it drops
Good input there, actually relevant info
Otherwise dagger drops are dead for your guild
Outlaw also has a haste requirement whilst sub hates haste, so also, gearing between them may be awkward.
Ye, right now I just swap 2 items to play Assa. It's great. Extremely chill to flip between them.
When you play outlaw you need to drop most of your mastery
Same, swap ring and neck out and I'm chilling. Jump from like 15% haste to 3%
Which is difficult when sub and sin both have like 17k+
Kinda similar thing with crit
actually sounds pretty cool ngl,
i usually swap between bm and mm and i have to swap out half my gear and some enchants xD
I never got where that stereotype came from. When I said I'll ask rogue discord my guild went 'oh they're gonna tear you to shreds', but then I get here and its just... chill.
Its like the fight clube rule
rogue club
haha i've actually also heard rogue discord is toxic XD glad i was proven wrong
its the guys that either think "rogue = the guy that killed me in STV 20years ago"
or the people that go into a spec channel and say HEY WHAT TALENTS AND TRINKETS SHOULD I PLAY AND WHATS MY ROTIATION and then get pissy when somebody tells them to check a guide
Also useful to know that in raid sin can’t target well swap and outlaw can’t burst
don't forget the roll the bones BfA people
Yeah I never got that, finding the rogue discord is barely less effort than just, reading the guide.
nah we are supe toxic here
SOMETIMES there are new members that just join and ask "whats best talents and bis gear" and the answer isnt A or B, it's actually harder than that. So, we try to provide explanations on HOW things work
some people dont like that
watch this
Don't be afraid to ask questions, though. Rogue has some real strange quirk sometimes that aren't obvious. Sometimes it's easier to just ask why something is the way it is.
fu royal
Brothers and sisters nothing can make me toxic, especially now that i know i'll have a baby girl in a few months
congrats
Oh shit, didn't know you found out the gender. Congrats!
prepare for all nighters 🙏
i did a week ago, made the family party today :3
yea i will do that, will prob ask way to stupid things, first i need to level him up to 80 xD
Nice! So, you're gonna train them to farm gold for you when they're like 3 right?
Good.
MUAHAHAHA
Oh leveling rogue is really shit
Don’t touch sub till at least like 50-60
Haha, yeah, it's wild how bad it can feel
For whatever reason
cus classes are not balanced around anything pre max level
There's something else weird that Sub doesn't get for ages that makes it confusing and awkward
sub does get shadowstrike
Moving those types of nodes higher in the tree
Would make leveling rogue and pathing at max level way better
I remember when I first started rogue,it felt ass to lvl. Still does. So idk what my point was
Instead you get a bunch of find weakness talents
was mid tbc
That do nothing until way later
mfs complaining about rogue leveling didnt experience not having any AoE ability for 65 levels

he's 62 atm, but thank god for timewalking and warband exp xD
Amen for that blizz daddy
what class,forgor
rogue during legion i think
iirc FoK/weebstorm/Flury where unlocked at mid 60s
so before that you where always just hitting 1 enemy
im dumb, I cant remember
I swear I started mid/early tbc
also forgot to use berserking all of mop lvling as troll
rogue didnt have any aoe for many years
Legion's correct it's when I made a new bnet and leveled rogue again was turbo ass
it was surely something interesting
it had some for few days with bugged FoK
relic iirc
Got to wield it at comic con👀
Heavy?
No but probably couldnt swing it properly
Yep
Fun fact I started playing in legion and somehow stuck through to unlocking fok without really ever being bothered by the lack of aoe
I think I just didn't know what I was missing
why were you levelling without blade flurry bro
was it some sort of post-Cata thing?
legion huh
smh
levelling a rogue in vanilla was an A+ experience tbh
just run in, pull three mobs, turn on BF, slammin'
Then wait 3(?) minutes for the cd
I remember having to do a quest to learn poisons and you got tha debuff that prevented you from Stealthing and had a 7d timer.
I just didn't play her for almost a week until I mentioned it while playing an alt and someone said you could get rid of it.
p sure you get a quest to go get rid of it
Pretty sure it's also a poison. You can just ask a druid to dispell you and skip the quest
That's what I mean, I could've just had a Paladin or something remove it
Trying to learn rogue play, was watching Shindigg's guide on youtube, and holy shit it's a alot of things to remember and learn, feels like it will take years to master and i have until s3 comes out ^^ yay
Which spec did you end up going for?
still undecided xD sub sounds really hard to master but the bursty playstyle is something i like, Sin feels alot easier to learn but not sure about it yet.
For raids, Sin is definitely the easiest. Sub is good but it can be very punishing if one of your burst windows gets scuffed.
Yea watching that sub guide makes my ret pala brain melt xD
You do the burst sequence correctly and then you do the same thing 90s later
Boom thats 85% of sub right there
Yea but the burst sequence feels like a book report, but ye in time it will probably be sitting like the tumb in my hand 🙂
how is the current pve content?
The other 15% is resisting the urge to hit coup when you have 20 seconds left before flag
my initial instinct is to just send coup if the target is fazed, is it a large gain to hold it if flag is close? do you lose many unseen blades by holding coup for potentially 20 seconds?
I ain't fully sure, I've just seen people talking about it, but then the urge to hit the glowy button takes over and I coup.
I'm a weak man
Ugh, I can see myself turning into an elitist in real time and I don't like it
I keep letting my keys decay so I got stuck with a +2 floodgate key, and I went through legit 5 parties to get it done
People kept wiping on either the first or second boss and then just plug pulling
It took me 5 minutes to watch a 3 minute video and then distill important mechanics into single sentences:
boss 1: kill the adds
boss 2: aim big guy charge into bombs
boss 3: go left with your tether
boss 4: kite sparks into water
It's not that complicated a dungeon
Last party still died on big momma and I had to clarify that they had to keep killing the adds, and that was finally enough
I still had top dps with 1.63mil...
damn
Been a while since Ive had that bad of an exp in a dungeon
it's been a while for me too that's pretty horrendous
the higher the key you do, the better players you get
that's also true. +2 is largely a graveyard
you're literally playing at a level players don't even have their monitor plugged in
before the difficulty change to compress +12->+2, you could literally sleepwalk through old keys so instead of it being 5-7 as hell, it's 2-3 now
I really hate that keys degrade if you don't do them for a week
I've got 13 classes at 80 and I also enjoy pvp
there's only so much time and I don't want to treat any part of the game like a job
I don't follow your logic
I have every class at 80 because it was something I wanted to do, but I did it at my own pace
then whats the logic about telling us you have 13 80s? XD
I don't like feeling compelled to do stuff on a specific schedule just to maintain progress I've already made, that's crap
I like mythics but not enough to keep EVERY CHARACTER'S KEYS from decaying
That's the point
joining keys up to 7 isnt that hard anyway
I like being able to play whoever I feel like playing, not feeling like I have to play at least one mythic per week with any character I want to do mythics with
maybe so, but do I get a key upgrade from doing somebody else's?
(genuine question)
Not this week but u do get the same key next week
If u do someone elses 7 u get a 7 next week
yes
what Iker said
For clarification, are you saying that if I joined a +7 and completed it I'd get a +7 key next week?
yes
yes
99% sure its the same key level
Well if u timed it u get a +7 if u complete u get a +6
that... could actually work. Might be hard to get invited to keys without already having a good score, but it could work. Thanks for the info chaps, might save me a lot of trouble.
finding guild/friends to do keys with makes it a lot less painful too
Keep in mind, the lower the key, the harder it is for the group to actually have a brain
I've got a guild that's friendly and has a few decent players, but find it hard to coordinate run times with the people who are actually active. I'm always asking in guild chat if anyone's interested in joining my keys when I actually have time, but mostly get complete radio silence. I don't really want to leave, though.
I recently learned about the existence of the community finder; I don't know how communities differ from guilds, but do you figure that would be helpful to find people to run with?
Just heard that rogue's give a raidbuff, a 3% dmg reduction? but i cant find it, not on my buffs or talents
It's a poison type from your class talents
Atrophic poison
Atrophic poison
oh i found it, and i guess it's only used for raid? cause it wasnt specced with the m+ build i found for assasin
The m+ builds mostly seem to use numbing poison, which I guess is probably better for trash
Dying on dungeon bosses usually happens because of people goofing up mechanics after all
true
atrophic can still be used in m+
in really high keys where theres just too much damage
the builds you find on wowhead or icyveins or whatever are generally understood to be starting points for people who aren't already experts
if you want to push highest difficulties or whatever it's probably better to copy somebody who's doing better than you
doubt
bleed builds for assa can be used up to 20s
and its also the reccommended build in wowhead
The best build isn't always gonna differ from the recommended build, but it might
(assa) rogues are just switching from bleed because they need more ST in their comp
I've only played rogue since I started wow in season 1 and I want to try other classes now. I leveled a sham to 80 to be resto but I didn't use it much. I couldn't tell if it was lack of complexity or just deterred to grind for gear.
feels like I stuck with rogue in the beginning because of how much effort it took to feel like I'm operating the class properly, do you guys have any suggestions for other classes that match this flow of complexity? Pref a healer
Really hard to compare a healer's job to a DPS's job.
Complexity wise i feel like disc priest is always the hardest to master BUT i'm no healer
Resto druid has a lot of moving parts, and when things are going smoothly you even pop in and out of cat form to do extra damage, so it mixes in some rogue stuff
But yeah healing is very different from dps, there's a lot more reliance on intuition and instinct and a lot less perfectly optimizing gcds and following a flowchart
I just kinda assumed down the road the as resto shammy i was just placing totems at the right time and then spamming corrode on peeps
I'll look into resto druid. I really just wanna try the other role and maybe id understand more of the game bc atm i just know what rogue does and how to best perform as rogue lol
I hear resto shaman is a wild ride in pvp but in pve it's probably not nearly as complex, yeah
Not looking into pvp for the time being
It could also be the style of playing a caster was not that cool for me too, which is why i was looking into mw monk
does outlaw use dagger in offhand or 2 one hands?
Holy paladin has a good deal of melee going on, though you do still have to cast sometimes when people stand in stuff
okey, ye i had a one hand and a dagger in my warband bank so i will work for now
yeah the only mandatory weapon for outlaw is the 1 handed in the MH
Dagger offhand generates more energy because it attacks more
It does not, its normalized so you get more energy per proc from a slower weapon as outlaw
oh so that's why, cause i remember back in shadowlands outlaws wanted a dagger in off hand
Thanks for clarifying Eleem homie
Whereas for sub thats not the case
Need 2 daggers because otherwise you lose combo points and energy
You can't stop pvpers from using a sword tmoged into Tfury

Im still not sure if this is bad or good
It would be cool, to use Cnatrip 1-hands on off-hand
but its also not cool, to use Cantrip 1-hands on off-hand
i liked folly quite a bit
for how silly it could get
had a socketed one that lasted me the whole expansions kinda since i dropped it
and still did weekly run to try and get it for people too
I'm trying to remember the endings of the Legion raids, and whether or not you can get teleported out without having to hearth
Create a raid group in the custom LFG after yo finish, wait a few seconds, leave the raid group
That should port you out after a minute iirc
Unless they changed it
Yeah, that's good
I'll try that
On that note, the only encounter I'm worried about is Eonar. I ran it on Druid last week and understood that I had to stop the first two Final Doom. It didn't seem like she was taking much damage from the smaller adds so I was focusing on killing the Destructors and just AoEing the smaller adds when they grouped up in front of her.
Guess I just need to be wary
Going [Emerald Nightmare] > [Trial of Valor] > [Nighthold] > [Tomb of Sargeras] > [Antorus]
Eonar is a really easy fight, you get given the leap which lets you get around quickly.
Eonar is one of those fights that should be scaled to 1 player and make it even easier. A normal person won't know what dafuq they need to do in that fight
https://www.reddit.com/r/wownoob/s/Bauh0hVaMz
How fast can a thread be locked?
I mean that comes down to simply: not having researched the fight or not having done it before, nothing to do with the fight itself.
Every fight but eonar - press 2 abilities
Eonar -
Eonar: go between one of three points (that flash on your minimap) and press 2 buttons (you also have flight during the fight which makes it easy)
And then go into the spaceship
And click the 4 crystals
And then get out
And try not to die because of the red debuff
Ye, it's annoying. Wouldn't mind them doing a Kel'Thuzad if there's only one person and spawning a special NPC to tank stuff for a bit.
Yeah that's what I'm saying
Eonar is a weird fight if you never did it / didn't research it. But who would research a fight from 10 years ago anyway
Shift+J is your friend
thats the most "redditor that doesnt do content above +7 dungeons that watched the RWF once" comment ever
like, bruh
I cringed a bit too
like, cant say "its a decent tool for understanding the absolute basics if you cant understand the basics by reading a guide, but in the long run you kinda want to learn to play by yourself"
no
it must be "YOU CAN BE BETTER THEN PEOPLE THAT PLAY IN THE 0,1% RANGE!!!!!!!!!!"
karesh Season 3 is august 12th
they really want to get to midnight asap, before november
yep!
Doubt midnight would be before november
That would mean this tier less than 3 months
I'd be amazed if Midnight happens this year.
there are no hints to a season 4, as much as i wont mind one
It's gonna be jan / feb.
bc i want to collect cosmetics haha
We'll probably have a longer S3 with Legion Remix around December ->
Campaign Chapters 1–3
Dungeons: Dungeons on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic 0 difficulties (excluding Tazavesh).
Delves (all tiers, no Bountiful Delves or Keys)
Great Vault credit begins``` 🙏
does anyone know if there’s a way to transfer gilded crests from main to alt? or any catchup mechanic?
You can't transfer them, no. Alts get discounted upgrades (So 10 per instead of 15) up to the highest iLevel once you have the achievement iirc.
Prolly February
Late Feb, Early March imo
Legion Remix in January.
Quite likely, yeah. I personally think Remix'll be december.
A good holiday event to bring people back
I think Remix sit November
Ye, could be
like the half mark of Season 3
I bet we get a date at Gamescon
Where do we eat on our date?
I could go for some thai
so we can get a hero item by doing delves or M+0
neat
I decided to try out bm on my hunter now that she's level 80... breezed through a t8 delve at ilvl 619
My rogue had to be overgeared for each tier of delve until I discovered the permanent tricks of the trade cheese
I've never played tricks and I've been clearing delves easily as assassination
I don't think it's a rogue problem, bm Hunter is literally just op there. Bunch of pets, feign death, ranged, etc
I was having a lot of trouble with sin delves because everything hit me for like 30% or more, even the smaller trash
Healer brann could barely keep up even on small packs, it was usually doable but only if a good amount of the damage was avoidable
huh
there was one boss that I died to twice because most of his damage was unavoidable
i find this so funny, people commenting on this post and have no clue what hekili does or doesnt do, it recommends when to kick, use defensives, trinkets, cool downs, and even battle potions and your poisons depending on which talents you select
unless you go into T11 with a fresh max lvl character
thats a stretch aswell tbh
a stretch? its literally what it does lmao
like, it literally cant tell you the right moment to use cds/trinkets/deffensives
because reality is working different
i mean for rogue, we press cds on cool down for the most parts. each class is different
the order? yeha sure, but fight mechanics and all that stuff are a thing
like, literally the entire "problem" with those rotation helpers is that they have no context to the actual fight going on AND you dont learn actually reacting to those things
good for "learning" the absolute basics of your class/specs (lets be real, most people that use them dont give a fuck about learning because then they would try to....learn it by looking up their rotations and gameplay rules..... instead of downloading a pretty picture addon and follow it without thinking why they do it at this moment), not good for fights where delaying/focus swaps/preactive usage of things are a thing
thats just fight knowledge, which is subjectively easier than your rotation
key word subjectively
i forgot what the eonar mythic fight was about, but i remember something about going inside the paraxis or whatever that ship was called.
i mean, you can think that
but saying that rotations are harder then fight knowledge is a bold take, when WoW is a game where the rotations are overall REALLY simple and all the minmaxing is by using fight knowledge lol
like, most specs in this game have the same base structure: ST filler that generates resources, ST dmg ability that uses resources, AoE resource filler, AoE dmg resource user, 1 or 2 dots, and then is mostly just CD's

Fight knowledge might be important in raids, but in mythics it seems to generally amount to "dodge markers on the ground and maybe interact with one mechanic that can be summarized in five words or less"
For mog farming with this event, class doesn’t matter right? Like I can get cloth drops on my warrior and collect appearances?
Yes, they changed that a while ago that you get transmog even if the char you farm it with cannt equip it.
Great change btw
BUT if you're a completionist, legendaries like the sylvanas bow from sanctum of domination would only grant the achievement if you got it on an hunter p.e.,
Even tho you would gain the appearance nontheless
Gotcha, I also have one of the windseeker bindings on my rogue and it appears those are not warbound lol so thinking I’ll do the world tour on my rogue
Yes, legendary items like those are not warbound.
Just keep giving molten core a try until you get the 2nd binding
Got tusks of mannoroth last night, so now I caught the mog bug
Every class has combo points nowadays
not cp, but a simmelar "generate thing, use thing for dmg ability" loop
Some people did praise the snake-eyes way of playing
I don't remember what that is about
It can be boiled down to perma sinister strike
Oh OH I REMEMBER
can you really call them "people"?
Im a feral player, everyone is people to me
hmmm
so apparently next season gear is using +39 itemlevels from 684 rather than 678
interesting
this means...Champion 1/8 will be +45 and 681 rather than 675
which, in turn, means that champion 4/8 is 691 and still a sizeable upgrade over 684 gear
darn, kinda hoped to get into Hero gear from the get-go without bothering with Champion
anyone knows ilvl drop from m0 next season?
nice thanks
Got Mimiron's Head so that's one nightmare done, 6th attempt.
Also did ICC, 12 total but no drop.
got gmod today
anyone got any favorite rogue/leather raid sets? realizing i care more about getting some good tmogs rather than most mounts

Ulduar / nathria / sanctum of domination / uldir / battle for dazar'alor
At the top of my head
i cant launch myu game?
No idea
I can't launch your game either
Good game. Quite a classic
... nice.

is this week's cap for raid renown at 20?
When was the last time rogue was mentioned by blizz outside of the changes to killing spree ?
What changes are you looking for? Do you not feel rogue is in a good place?
Subs aoe could use some help for sure
A lot of people dislike the hero talents, but theyre not rework those in a random week on ptr
i want outlaw gone
I think personally fixing balancing in one spec in a triple melee spec class is pretty low on the priority list. (In jest I could say something along the lines of being below spriests fifth rework)

Youre right, but it also sucks waiting 3 years for them to fix things
Rogue as a whole appears to be in a super solid spot at the highest level of all content, so just seems a little bit weird to ask for changes.
I def want hero talent chsnges and some sub love
fate bound tier set/ hero talent clunkiness cleanup would be cool(cold blood fix) so that the new tierset that make it 90s is actually 90s and not weird + a bit of fate bound aoe help
People playing rogue at a high level doesn’t mean the class has good gameplay or hero tree interactions
Sure, problem is just when we usually read about the lack of patch notes for rogue on here, people are more mad about the lack of text on a patch note than what could be potentially changed
And for the record, the answer to the initial question is last week when they changed poison prio for obr
Which just further goes hand in hand to show that text on a patch note doesnt correlate with meaningful changes.
@reef ingot
confirm?
are f erals people?
i knew it
Will rogue be tuned based on how well it performs with full raid buffs i.e. mystic touch
Who knows?
🔮
Will my mom make me chicken tendies tomorrow for being a good boy?
Yes 📈
Has anyone ever done a t11 delve at ilvl 597? I just cleared a t8 on a 606 druid and it got me thinking
you likely could do fungal folly
i remember doing that one with rat ass gear
just kite them into spores if one of the quests that have it is up
Yeah fungal folly was the one I did. Would have cleared it without the spores but they sure made it a breeze
Mycomancer cavern is also good for that
Any of the fungal ones for sure, where you can use the delve mechanics to make up for any dps you're missing.
is raid testing today or tomorrow?
is wow broken right now? it takes forever for it to open
try opening the task manager and killing every wow and battlenet process including background ones
easily, I leveled up my monk from df for the algari tank/healer acheivements, and was able to walk into 11's in the 590 range. Just cant face tank things and ignore all mechanics like on main
I typed -d3d11 in startup options, went to the wow exe and selected run as admin and disable full screen optimazation and did scan and repair for the game, fixed it for me but before that it took 10-15 min to open or it wouldn't open at all
So for you multi-spec stabbers out there, how do you decide what spec to play at the start of a tier and when to swap it up? Is there a method to the madness?
I play what I like
I like assa
I play assa
I don't play content where my spec matters
Aka I don't mythic raid nor do high end m+
Ah gotcha, for context this is in an aspiring CE guild
Not RWF right?
No
Fairs
Any rogue gamers streaming ptr raid?
whispyr i think

Biggest things to be aware of: runed crests don't matter if you do +10s, recraft your embellishment from cloak before patch drops, and if you also play a non dual wield class you may not want to craft a weapon

twist sends his regards 🌹
I really only hang out in the outlaw channel but I know that the good rogue specializations have that channel muted
they have it muted cause sub have their own lil club and outlaw chat moves too fast for assa, theyre used to waiting 3-5 business days to press a button so lots of letters scare them
im innocent!
@zealous halo called out
not even close to the worst offender
fake
did you update the fury warrior part
you didnt ..
is there any outlaw or sub streamers on rn for heroic ptr testing?
Someone said whispyr earlier
found whispr for assa, zac for outlaw :3 haven't seen a sub pov yet
if you scroll long enough in the wow section i'm sure you'll find one at some point
not sure myself
lmao, said the same thing. bros posting this like its the holy grail every damn season
If people like it, even if it is ... not that useful for most people, let them do their thing
Didn't hurt me personally
yea I dont mind,cool guide
Basically a "yo bro min max the first 2 weeks AAAAAAAAAAAAH" guide
But some people are indeed into it
whispr was playing sub when i was watching him
He already ranted at me in the warrior discord even though I wasn't the one who linked it lmao
You know what's funny that that's what it's turned into because my first time doing it was because my entire guild didn't understand what domination sockets were and so I wrote a guide for them and it kind of leaked out
And then during dragonflight when they introduced The Crest system I realized that it was solvable and one for that too

you are stinky
or something like that
idk
Spoken like an assassination rogue
is it unclean stinky or kind of hot stinky
#1 is outlaw, #2 is assa
#3 doesnt exists, just like sub outside of the first 4 weeks of a raid release

I have no problems with it, and you mostly link it when people ask for it.
As long as you are only linking it upon request, when its relevant, youll be fine in regards to our self promotion rule
Is it just me or are S3 m+ dungs looking kinda meh
ty larias i will be sending this to my silly lil raiders
I think its fine other than halls
well priory is a stinker but its bareable
atleast in non m+ title range levels
Flood was kinda lowkey a banger besides the downstairs part
bubbles
is there a current sim of windfury value anywhere? i know the bloodmallet one went away, was never sure why. i appreciate being able to see a sim value for that + PI. anyone know of another source?
The purpose of those charts were to determine which people should be in the windfury group
As every raid group that has a shaman is now a windfury group the chart is no longer needed
right - and its really hard for me to guess at that without it tbh
wait did they make it raid wide and im just behind the news?
Yes
Or well, its not a totem
its a buff every shaman spec has, just like motw from druids
literally had no idea lol. shows my xp the last 2 seasons
can I have 2 of the same crafted rings?
Yes
has anyone tried logging raid fights on tauren on sub and assa? I see tauren sims pretty high for outlaw but was wondering about the others.
Racials is the most miniscule of differences, its not worth paying attention to
I'm sure in all my years of (heroic) raiding I gained more damage from stoneform by dropping the odd debuff and not dieing than I could ever had from other racials.
Thats not going to show up in sims or in logs though. In the most generic of context you will have way better results optimizing your toolkit and your planning of fights, than swapping race for the 0,000001% dps
(and dwarf/tauren share the same racial effect anyway)
for outlaw dwarf/tauren is like 1.2% ahead of the rest
kind of annoying, it's a nontrivial difference
i am once again asking to decouple combat power/utility from racials
Blizz would love to lose $30 per race change
Any excuse they give besides monetization is bs
common outlaw L moment
yo does cata classic have crossfaction endgame content? or if i join opposite faction dominated realm im cooked
classic doesn't have xfaction no
@fringe umbra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbMsdJXQSuE
I stream on https://www.twitch.tv/zorthas
Blizzard buffed Mystic Touch from 5% to 8%. I see a lot of people conflating this as a buff to physical classes. In the next month or two, tuning will bring these classes back to the baseline accounting for the buff, especially because we are still in PTR.
Thus this change will have negative effects for ...
this guy is cookin' or what
I haven't seen the video but:
- 5 < 8
he is right
the point he is making is that the physical classes will be tuned around mystic touch
it's like augvoker problem 2.0
Can someone point me in the direction of the PTR patch notes discussing all the rogue changes? Can’t seem to find them.
Holy crap I thought I was making a joke bc there were none
Pretty big changes pending for Sin looks like
yea he's cooking ong fr nocap on a stack
Sub rogue for pandaland
absolute banger of a spec
it wont be pretty
Any prediction on what specc is going to be meta in s3? Was going to play assa because I suck at sub
Are you a RWF player?
If not, play whatever the hell you think its cool
The vast majority of us aren't in the top 1%
besides, its still PTR, no one knows, tier lists are fake and if anyone says they know, they don't.
I dunno I've been consulting the orb for a while now.
My orb says it's gonna be outlaws turn
I hope you kept your reciept for the orb, I think its broken.
It's a tennis ball
What the hell the orb shop only had golf balls when I went
how else would you ponder your orb
That’s a very personal question
Looking at the new season so far for a person who enjoys playing rogue (mostly outlaw and sin) would you recommend maining it? Planning on 3k rating and a few mythic bosses
Does the class seem to be in a healthy spot relatively?
Why wouldn't it be
And if your friend enjoys the class why would he change?
Any class can reach 3k and kill some mythic bosses
Only played as an alt never committed for a full season
It's all about how your friend feels about the class then
You could probably play it pretty casually and still get 3k
In recent times rogue seems to be kinda ignored by devs, not receiving many changes?
Atleast one spec always performs kinda well so its pretty safe like coming from a mage/lock where one spec is also always good
Yeah basically!
I'll honestly say that at the levels you're talking about, it doesn't matter
What's 3k when there are people pushing 4k
With that one viable comp tbh and if i remember theyre topping around 3600
What I mean is just have fun
Yy thanks
If your homie enjoys rogue he'll be able to 3k easily
Also tell your friend to just hangout with the rogues here
Probably the best way for him to gain some theoretical experience
do y’all know any toys that make u a kul tiran for a big amount of time?
You can buy the AH item OR use that one toy...
Fuck I forgot the name
But both are a 1H buff
gleeful glamour
Can I spam any of those? Or will there be times where I can’t be a kul tiran
should be 1hr cd, criminal being 2
If only horde had kul tirans…
@sharp elm idk if you can clean this up
does anyone know of updated resources for alt gearing? I have some general ideas (dastardly duos, weeklies like the theater, the map for delves) but I have a hard time keeping track of all of it
random question about meaning of "to cook / be cooked". English is not my native language and I'm probably older than most of my fellow kids in here: if someone is cooking (active) that's a good thing? Meaning she is achieving something good by her actions? And if someone/something is cooked (passive) that's a bad thing? Not really sure from the use of it here.
Like for example a Sin build without Deathmark and Poisons is cooked (bad), cooking is more like "thinking" about something
Or trying to create something, like when you are at a new Boss, the Raidleader tries to cook a decent strat for your group
Classic doesnt even have X-Realm
Ye, it can be positive or negative. It's typically the general idea of 'cooking' something i.e., making it, thinking it up, putting it together. "They cooked" can go both ways. It's all about context.
I have, although it's rarer.
yeah was gonna say lets be honest cooked is meant negative way 90% of the time
Context of it's use is the most impotant part.
Yeah
"I'm cooked" tends to be exclusively negative in use, though. "He's cooking" is variable "He cooked something special" would depend on the context, etc, etc. Internet vernacular tends to be extremely flexible and dynamic haha.
Ye but he cooked something special
Is still the verb "cooking"
while cooked is something to describe
its confusing
But it'll depend on the context because internet vernacular doesn't typically adhere to traditional rules.
True
such a cooked thing to say!
I did cook last night because it was 25c
I almost followed it and this comment threw me off again xD
nooooooo im sorry
Haha
I guess I have to make more of an effort to follow context. And the basic verb=good but adjective=mostly bad is helpful. Thanks guys.
Yeah basically
Ye, pretty much
Just keep in mind that internet vernacular, unlike most, doesn't adhere to strict verb / adjective / etc rules all the time. So sometimes you've just gotta look at the greater conversation, attitudes, etc.
Bro
People cant even read 2 sentence above them
and ask the same fucking question
Look, scrolling up is a crime

When I think of "I'm cooked" I think of it as if their brain has been cooked which is not good for thinking
Haha, that's a good way to look at it
Cooked n smooth like a glizzy
"He cooked so hard his brain turned into a steak frite"
smooth brain
undamaged by blemishes or wrinkles
true perfection
how can it be anything but a good thing
real
Ret paladin??
We dont talk about ret palas
They are not worth your breath
or your finger muscles
in this case
We just shake our heads disapprovingly at them
Unless they're really good
Being a good ret pala
Is the equal to being bad at any other class
maybe you are good too on fury
So, never
It's like a good boomkin. There's no good boomkins, only ones that lick less windows than the others.
tbh
There are almost no good pug rogues
I'm the exception.
It gets used in many different ways
You’re cooked: you are dumb/bad/etc
You’re cooked: something bad is gonna happen to you
They cooked: they did something cool (sometimes used sarcastically as the opposite)
There’s actually so many different meanings, it’s funny
I wonder where it originated from
Has to be German
I am German 🙂
Ye me too
can't be from us
But like German is a Master in having the same word
for completeyl different things
Well the older sayings are just like “your goose is cooked” as in “you just fucked up and consequences are coming your way”
Then the whole “hold up, let him cook” meme started
Ye, but that wasn't really used online, was it? Although it's a great saying.
And that kinda originated all the ways it’s used now
your*
Ah, absolutely. That whole meme trend. You are right.

*mom

shes a lovely lady Ill have you know!

your`re
Yore
You r cooked
Mate be cookin' up a beauty on the barbie
Maybe they're cooking
*their
I've never seen a couple of grown up dudes talking about the meaning of "cooked" for so long while maintaining it serious.
You guys are seriously cooked
(see? Another example!)
You are seriously handsome
Thank you, I gotta agree with you there
actually based
i mean
sleep is for the weak
right !?
Just be like Zeross
Pop 12 Redbulls into your espresso
and shotgun it

That i know, i just thought it would be funny to join an opposite faction realm just to fuck around on wpvp, but it seems im gonna ruin everything else by doing that
Hi, is there a place to look for a guild? It's really hard to find 1 in game 😦
There's recruitment discords, may be worth looking them up
Where can I find recruitment discords?
You can also check #recruitment
There's different ones for NA and EU
the guild finder tool they in game is atrocious actually
you find guilds progressing BFA still. I sure hope that's just old info
I got into my current mythic team through the in game finder
yes but you are the goat
I think thats the secret potion for the m+ mindset
Hello guys for s3 rogue ass or sub because I start rogue and I want main this for s3
Damn really? 😅🤣🤣🤣
Whatever you prefer
There will be no big differences in terms of dps
For the past few years, the main difference between specs is people not knowing how to even play the spec properly. If you're not a RWF raider not a top1% m+ player, spec does not matter
I play only raid 😅
My statement remains true
is there an easy answer to should I craft max level off-hand(658), wrist(655) or amulet(658) ?
or upgrade stuff like chest or pants as much as I can
so if im too lazy to sim what is my best bet
Sims can definitely tell you which is best. We don't know what your gear is or what stats are on it or what you are playing
Upgrade the piece you like the art for least
Hopefuly it isnt the off hand
ok so the easy rule is to not upgrade the off-hand at least
upgrade vs craft is also situational then right
Offhand art all makes me mad
that blue button there
Yes. We don't know if you have a 600ilvl neck or what
that answers the "what should i upgrade"
for crafting is usually weapon into bracers/belt/boots, for the 2 embelishments, and then craft to replace low ilvl items
im sick of doing these dungeons
im crawling to 3k
started late
Noone holding a gun to your head to do them just don't do them like me
I'm too close 😄
Is there a rule to which item to craft? I've been crafting the ones with two stats
Questions, for races.. Is there a big difference between maghar and orc for me to waste a couple hours of leveling?
!fuu
Rogue Spreadsheet - Light Version / Dark Version
You know
If you're not a RWF raider nor a Top 1% M+ player
just go with looks
Looks = DPS increase
thanks gang
no problem
No problem
no problem
PROBLEM
You can just sim
They are all generally quote close in damage
Just as long as you don't play vulpera because their racial is cursed and on the gcd
Yo chat does Rogue look shitty next season?
unbelievably shit, unplayable even
Yeah dont play it, we are all gonna reroll
thats true? All specs?
no, im takin the piss
Ah. How is the current pve content?
well new content soon, if thats what you mean
I havent played since the anniversary event
Do we have the loot table already?
Okay, my bad, 5 min search were enough https://www.wowhead.com/news/season-3-raid-manaforge-omega-encounter-journal-in-patch-11-2-377362#soulbinder-naazindhri-2685-details-loot
time for some classic advantures (doing the intro quest for the mount, then uninstallling)
I first read, fuckclassic
I thought you had to be a monk
Only pandaren
Yeah, just Panda
I did it as a Rogue too and lmao I forgot how MoP pre-patch rogue felt
Panda Starter quest
Were so easy with heirlooms
Felt. Weird to use them
Because you couldnt Do that in real mop
only need to be a pandaren as someone else mentioend
It’s starting to look late for any big changes. So hope for tuning and bug fixes at best
The napkin math of our classic wow nolife scarab lord race
already 1/3 of the scepter

not even 2 days and we saved eranikus
im having an argument with a friend of mine
are mythic dungeons daily or weekly lockout rn
basically boils down to how hard can oyu degen week 0 of the new patch
daily
so yes you can get champion gear from next season but it is not really worth
unless you are undergeared
but for some trinkets maybe you do that one special dungeon
but that was changed in s2 wasnt it
or was it already changed back from that s2 change
mythic as in M0 right?
If they keep giving champion gear, unless they got changed, they are weekly lockouts
so they got changed then
does anyone know how to get back to the assault on the dark portal area??
assault as in WoD?
yes
he will take you here right?
Afaik, if you havent done the intro, i believe so
but i can't 100% know because i did the intro 0-100% without leaving that area
damn its the wrong zone
its not that idkkkk omg
im trying to get my friend to go back to this area,he left by accident and doesnt know how to comeback anymore
just fly from stormwind if youre alliance or fly from stv if youre horde?
if you got phasing problems
The other day I was wondering if it was possible to solo t11s at 597. Today I did one at 555 on my freshly dinged priest. Can't say I recommend doing that, it sucked :^)
Any Achievement hunters in the game? Wondering if theres any guides for someone who wants to start achievement hunting
Ooo thanks
also maybe this
Is there any point coming back to game without purchasae War Withing update? I stopped playing 10months ago on Dragonflight, so there is 10 levels and tons of stats difference already?
If you dont purchase war within update you'll just have until DF
so no endgame and all the content from DF
Yeah but still can meet people with WW update, running with 80 lvls etc, so automatically all my flasks and stuff is less worth in AH, would be harder to find someone for m+ runs or raids i guess. Unless 70+ lvl people from WW can join there but their bosses and mobs stats will be adjusted just like in random time walker dungeons?
If you don't have the current expansion you're not really even playing the same game as everybody else
Course we're pretty deep into this expac by now, you could technically wait however many months until midnight and buy that instead
by midnight you mean next expansion?
Yes
ah, thanks
i bought 1m sub out of curioisity and didn't notice it's already 1y with WW
I guess i will use this time to eventually level up alts and maybe agather some gold and then wait for next expansion
last question, is 30d sub token worth 380k gold in WW expansion? Or it has higher price there, because it's easier to get this amount of gold?
The token price is the same doesn't matter what expansion you are
It goes up and down but it's the same for everyone
Thank you, I didn't play any other DLC on OG blizzard server before DF, so i wasn't sure
So yeah, easier to get those token price amount in WW update but i will probably do as you suggested and wait another year to see if there will be new expansion around
especially when summer sale is already gone for good
Tbh I wasn't serious about waiting for the next expansion, if you're willing to do that to save... what is it, a measly forty bucks or something?... then you probably have some pressing concerns to address before you consider playing wow at all
If you don't intend to play current expansion and just stick with good old farming, being lvl 70 isn't a bad option
Fair point
Paying $40 for one season is a rip-off even if affordability isn’t an issue
Also depends
But also I’m still sour about D4 so maybe just me lol
if... he wants to do current content or if he just wants to checkout the whole expansion campaign
i havent played D4 so i couldn't coment on that 😦
D4 just feels like diablo immortal where all they care about is monetization
TWW was 50% off like a month ago. It might go on sale again in 2-3 months
40 dollars is one mediocre dinner for two at any crappy chain restaurant
It's up to you to decide if like 6 months of current expac content is worth more or less than that to you
I'm in complete financial ruin and even now I can't be bothered to worry about spending that kind of money on something I like
How worth are those to craft?
Not sure what you mean, theyre cheaper than 400 potions for your raid
But if youre just crafting it for yourself its horrendously expensive
Yes
Assuming the person crafting them knows the recipe for tempered potion, but thats kind of a given
Ohh got it
So i shouldnt craft flask cauldron cuz i still dont know chaos
I wanted to craft one of the cauldrons but i guess ill have to wait till i full learn flasks
where can we see some damage data from latest raid testing session in ptr?
Theres some spreadsheets around
But the data is pretty much entirely useless anyway so
Like shockingly on the hard fight where most wipes are 40s in the burst classes do well, who would've thunk
Not very representative of balance overall
right, that makes sense ty
Our GM,Jamesmarcus(mage)
(the one with the skull)
anyone else have connection issues on EU realms? rarely am i able to join because the loading screen gets stuck and if i get kicked pretty soon after.
just fyi why the hell im i so scared of rogue haha i enjoy evertyhing about them im just scared to be shit

i must be scared of failure sensai xD
Brother, we fail everyday by launching the game
True
Don't be scared of failure, be scared of failure and not improving
It's fine to screw up, just take it as a learning point
Now for real, I'd say check the wowhead guides first, and try to have a bare minimum of understanding in whichever spec you choose
Then return with questions in the specific spec channel
okay dokey
Don't @ me
@mellow pilot
Hello darling
Hi Royal how's your day going?/
A lot of physical work today, my arms aren't keeping up
Time for cybernetic arms
I got one of the bindings of the windseeker on my rogue, do I just stick with farming Mc on him or do I keep running with my other alts
