What you can do is run DR hero to see if you can get it from a drop
instead of spending a bonus roll on it
But gaze should provide you more dmg than a myth non trinket item
You can always sim it yourself to be more sure about it

In the full report you can look at the Abilities section, "DPE" is damage per execute aka how much on average that ability does each time it's used, and then if you expand the arrow next to the ability you can get more detailed stats (be careful comparing this to logs or in-game numbers, sometimes this rolls up more than just the instant damage of the spell)
