Both are fine, zoldyck appear to be slightly better because a 2min vend lines up better with dmg amp phases, and you don't get the weird one minute vendetta lining up with the among us phase

Yeah, it's sorta out of your hands if you get 30 or not. You only get 9 globals to build and spend 25 combo points. We work around that where we can by pressing flag when we have 5 CP ready, using MFD for another free 5 combos. But as long as you're doing the actual rotation correctly, the amount of flag stacks aren't going to make or break you.

The reasoning is a little complicated, but the most important of them is the difference in combo points on crit (up to 4 vs 3) and it's interaction with Flagellation.
You also have to consider the additional poison application chances. Ambush is not considerably worse or better in any situation, so you aren't losing out on much if you don't use it.
