Yes, for people with ilvl 235+ that progress Mythic and have all legendaries avaialble and multiple covenants grinded up in renown and r4+ frost shards, Dashing is really good. Still only marginally better than Doomblade/Obe. For many of the other setups, in particular people who might read a guide that is aimed at newcomers or beginner/intermediate level players, its very different entirely.

Some Frequent Questions from this/last week

1. You can sim empowered slots completely naturally through things like top gear. As long as you pick enough conduits, and you have the slot empowered. You can change the renown=x line in your input to a higher number to empower more slots if you wish.

2. Dashing is worse for necro, yes. This has been the case all patch.

3. Your dps went down because of the fix to the frost set, as per #tc-updates. Frost is not bugged, and this changed nothing about the actual set except your sim dps. It's still the go-to set.

4. To go with the empowered slots, The way these work is that they add 2 ranks (13 ilvl x2), to a given conduit. THERE IS NO CONDUIT THAT PROVIDES A SIGNIFICANT GAIN BY RANKING IT UP. All rank ups are about 15dps. You won't lose a ton of dps not having high rank conduits, or missing empowerment slots. Think of empowered conduit slots like a weaker prismatic gem.
