TO be more specific you can use one on every pillar and save the next one for right after the first stomp so you can get as many envenoms out as possible without having to move. Your next shiv will always be up by the next pillar.

You can in the very beginning put a small rupture just to get the energy flow going, but generally you don't need to rupture the skirms too much. I do however sbs - rup - sbs - rup - sbs - rup in P2 when Grashaal comes down
It helps getting into speed quickly and getting all bleeds and whatnot up for your Vendetta/Vanish windows.

I don't think you need MFD if you play MA NS, just pool combo points between pulls, typically my first CT is from Vanish after dotting some things on first pull and after that you have combo points for opener NS CT almost every time other than like, DoS after Hakkar, where your going to single/2 target anyway so it doesn't matter

Incorrect, you do want MFD every time you play that build.
You want to use CT at max combo points every time you open. This won't happen if you have travel distance from pack to pack. Also aiming to sit at 5 combo points after every pack is just not optimal. You use the extra combo points on SnD if you got some left over.

I think the NS build is viable without MFD, but not really when pugging. It's just too hard to guarantee that you will have combo points before every pull, because people's routes vary and shit goes wrong frequently. But with something like deathspike that generates a shit ton of CP you could easily sbs > SND > SBS to 6 cp at the end of the pack while you're getting resets and hold onto those cp until the next pack
And deathspike in general will get you similar cp generation to FOK with MA
And with deeper your NS CT will just hit so much harder
