Running out of energy in single target is completely normal, intended design of Assassination. As a burst spec our damage is mainly loaded into Deathmark/Shiv and massive Envenoms through stacking multiple nature damage buffs such as Lingering Darkness, Shiv, Darkest Night, Amplifying Poison, and more. This comes with the natural downside of our damage suffering outside of these windows, in part due to the designed lack of energy slowing us down.

Because of this, there is only one minor (0.3%) min-max with energy, which is pooling 3-4 seconds into an upcoming Kingsbane. Ideally this would put you at around 50-60% energy before you enter your Kingsbane, which is more than enough energy alongside thistle tea. Outside of that, spam Envenom and just accept that you will run out of energy. There is nothing you can do to not run out of energy. Playing around Envenom uptime also is not relevant anymore, as Twist the knife allows for two stacks at a time, which reduces wasted uptime dramatically. Without twist the knife, wasting uptime is unavoidable.

I think on that pull I got the bug on my first dm but I just held bc I was like eh I'd rather have the dm in execute since I'll just get one more, so it feels like you just gotta get lucky on that last dm before transition

if you have an hpal you can scam for autumn it makes it less likely the titan dies before your deathmark ends but its 100% not necessary

You would use it with the cd set comming up in both cases. 15 stacks should just happen if you either died or dawntime was happening. But as long as you dont lose stacks it doesnt matter pretty much.

In singletarget with no dmg amps etc you would just use it every 3 min with dm and vanish.

For NE, you can have your 2nd DM also double CDR by replacing vanish to shadowmeld, but it require the coin stack<=2.

Also if you ware willing to use shadowmeld potion instead of dps potion for w/e reason mid fight, there is also rotation you can gamble for 50% double cdr
Start with 1coin: shadowmeld+kingsblade – envenom-vanishenvenom-rupture(this is 50/50 you will have double cdr)

The idea is when the 7th same coin back to you , there is a delay, head coin will drop you your lefthand side, tail righthand side, edge on the back, so you can running away from that 7th coin to trigger the double cdr, so on bigger mode boss like dimensius, sometimes you can naturally get double cdr
for some boss like plexus first intermission, dimen P2, you lost you coin stack anyway, so you can force cdr easily
