First cooldown sequence - shiv 1 - 8 seconds. Shiv 2 - 21 seconds. Just shiv when the first shiv ends during the deathmark window.

Have your shivs cover the deathmark.

Though most importantly, no combo point capping. This cannot be overstated. Cooldown sequences are minor compared to that.

You want to stack as many dmg into your dm in single target as possible. Every dm you want to use your 2 shivs and if possible a vanish for imp garrote and ma.
