There are no "recommended stat levels" or "breakpoint of X stat" or "required" amount of any stats. This is an outdated way to think about stats and simply is not relevant to the spec. If you're looking for a quick recommendation: Agi >> Crit = Mastery >= Haste > VersatilityIt's always more accurate to simulate your own character, as stat procs from trinkets/enchants can often de-value their stat relative to others. Stats are not a rigid construct, their values change constantly in relation to each other depending on your character.

• Signet of the Priory will require you have Mastery as your highest RATING (the actual number, not the %). Having Crit and Mastery close to one another will cause procs from Flask or Seaforium Pacemaker to cause your Signet to give you Crit. This is generally worse and will cause Signet to sim poorly.
• Compared to each other, Deathstalker wants more Mastery/Haste than Fatebound, and Fatebound wants more Crit than Deathstalker
• Always Always ALWAYS sim yourself through Top Gear and Droptimizer for accurate results

Bleeds update their tick rate dynamically, which means that if you get a haste proc (which increases our tick rate) from somewhere during the encounter (ie. Power Infusion), the bleeds would automatically tick faster, but the second your haste goes back to normal, the tick rate goes back down as well.

Snapshotting refers to getting that haste proc, reapplying bleeds at the faster tick rate, but instead of the bleeds going back to a slower tick rate when your haste drops, they would continue ticking at a faster rate until they expire or are reapplied.

(...or is the 4pc bonus a red herring and shivving before DSM reapplication is still the play...?)

Explanation of why stealth benefits aren't as important as you might think:

• For starters, "Chain pulls" are NOT when the tank pulls a new pack with 1% hp remaining on the previous mobs. That is called "Bad Tanking", and it sucks for everyone in your party.
• Correct Chain pulls usually happen while the previous pack is still alive and not dangerous. This increases uptime on more targets, which is the biggest increase in DPS for the entire party. This is also the biggest reason why you see high key level players doing so much damage.
• Garrote is roughly 7-9% of people's damage in a key, most of which is already empowered/cleaved
• Most energy spreading will come from Rupture to maintain scent of blood, not garrote
• Without a Trace (+1 vanish charge) only grants roughly 2 additional casts across a whole dungeon, but does allow for holding vanish for large chain pulls which improves the quality of each vanish
• You can argue that it "feels bad", but numerically there is very little ground to stand on, the dps simply isn't there.

Yet another bug has been found. After the hotfix which removed the double dipping from caustic, caustic spatter damage does not singular focus, removing a fundamental portion of assassination’s funnel. Given we have YET ANOTHER impactful bug, I want to go over the list of important issues as of now. These are not tuning issues directly, they are simply not functioning the way they properly should.

General

• Sudden Demise’s execute simply doesn’t work in open world/delves because of ilvl world scaling
• Twist the knife still causes weird envenom timers when the new envenom is shorter than a previous envenom
• sanguine blades still double dips the spec aura just like caustic did, so it’s actually 36% currently

Deathstalker

• Fatal Intent is severely undertuned but it also has a chance to fizzle. While it pops at 20%, it stops stacking at 30%, meaning you could just lose it entirely on long fights
• momentum of despair simply does not work after pressing shiv with the 2pc equipped
• singular focus does not work with caustic spatter anymore

Fatebound

• the 4pc tier set is a buggy mess after having been noted as “fixed” in a hotfix note. It has a chance to double proc, not proc at all, and sometimes even proc in the middle of the fight and desync all your cooldowns.
• Tails coins critting gives combo points through seal fate

Special Honorable Mention Bonus Bugs

• Deathmark finishing removes a stack of scent of blood because it finishing means the bonus rupture is removed
• Darkest Night isn't granted from things like araz conduits and the oasis boss in streets (technically intended cause they don't "die" but... really?)
• Pressing shiv with the 4pc deathstalker set and Darkest night up triggers the energy effect again, presumably because it tries to proc the mark, doesn't see the mark, and then just re-proc darkest night?
• Swapping from Sub to Fatebound Assa breaks cold blood macros because it's not the same cold blood. Need to relog to fix it
• Deathstalker's mark still sometimes just.... doesn't apply from darkest night?
• You cannot break down Deathstalker's Mark while have Darkest Night
• Momentum of Despair and Follow the Blood tooltips both say "black powder" instead of "crimson tempest"
• Caustic Spatter specifies Mutilate and Deadly Poison, when Ambush and Amplifying Poison also work. Wound Poison does not work.
• Arterial Precision can pull things that are out of combat because the range on it is massive and can jump

All together our class is bugged, spec is bugged, both tier sets are bugged, jastor diamond rings are bugged, charged bolts on the delve belt breaks out of stealth. Everything sucks man. I’ll make a video going over all of this as well. It just sucks cause Assa rogue is super fun this patch but the bugs are just so oppressive

Running out of energy in single target is completely normal, intended design of Assassination. As a burst spec our damage is mainly loaded into Deathmark/Shiv and massive Envenoms through stacking multiple nature damage buffs such as Lingering Darkness, Shiv, Darkest Night, Amplifying Poison, and more. This comes with the natural downside of our damage suffering outside of these windows, in part due to the designed lack of energy slowing us down.

Because of this, there is only one minor (0.3%) min-max with energy, which is pooling 3-4 seconds into an upcoming Kingsbane. Ideally this would put you at around 50-60% energy before you enter your Kingsbane, which is more than enough energy alongside thistle tea. Outside of that, spam Envenom and just accept that you will run out of energy. There is nothing you can do to not run out of energy. Playing around Envenom uptime also is not relevant anymore, as Twist the knife allows for two stacks at a time, which reduces wasted uptime dramatically. Without twist the knife, wasting uptime is unavoidable.
