Rik Reverb Barrels (and similar spread cleave in raid)

• Not your problem.
• Assassination is the worst target swapping spec in the game, and we have no tools available to deal with the situation of priority spread cleave. Caustic can reach sometimes but similar to fire mage, the boss needs to be on top of the adds, causing caustic to often be out of range.
• If you're truly hellbent on swapping to barrels, hold your nearest darkest night and just slam a darkest night envenom into them and pray. If you're quick enough you can also pool combo points/energy and cast a rupture on a barrel to try and caustic off of them. This still will not do good barrel damage, again, the spec is doomed for it
• Another possible option would be talenting into Crimson Tempest by untalenting Bone Spike and Doomblade. This CAN TECHNICALLY provide a bit of barrel damage, but the spawns need to be immaculate and any difficult spawns will just result in no barrel damage again.
  With all that, the best advice we have for swapping barrels:
• Swap to Subtletly.

This is repeatable with mind control, but is most common on the third boss of Grim Batol when skipping the two elites before the boss.

You can avoid it by being EXTREMELY careful to not target anything when your target shifts, but otherwise not much to be done. Just be careful and aware as it is a niche bug that should not happen frequently

lots of yap but there's a lot of context, so the thing to know about maplestory is that NA/EU regions get a modified version of the patch korea got 6 months earlier. So their winter update is our summer update, etc. They just announced the summer update in korea coming up, which we'll get this winter. The other thing to know is that the maplestory community goes fucking BALLISITIC when anything even remotely bad happens in korea, even though it doesn't affect us in the slightest and we have entirely different systems and power structures. (see image for example)

So in january they did the big korea announcement for their patch. Because Nexon got hit with a huge fine in korea for rigging the rates on an upgrade system in the korean version of game, they restructured everything and made it even easier to whale (korean community plays on pay to win servers, while 95% of NA/EU plays on free to play servers that don't exist in korea at all). People doomed that it would come to NA/EU (it didn't), got upset that nexon would rig rates (not our version of the game), our NA/EU region-exclusive event was buggy and overtuned (lots of whining)

when you hit deathmark it applies a second, identical version, of garrote/rupture/deadly poison/amp poison. They are their own debuffs, completely separate, you literally have 2 debuffs. If you refresh during deathmark, deathmark will "cast" the duplicate as well to match. When deathmark expires, the duplicates are removed
