Vanish->Ambush during cooldowns with Darkest Night up has two main benefits:

• Getting more mark uptime by reapplying when it's down
• Consuming Darkest Night then puts you from 3 stacks of the mark down to 2 since the mark is already applied

As of September 13th with the Echoing Reprimand Fix, that second part is broken. Blizzard inadvertantly added a bug where you cannot consume mark stacks while darkest night is active. This will hopefully get resolved quickly as it is quite impactful. Until that time, you might want to consider taking improved garrote in your single target build (instead of 1 point of vicious venoms, or instead of improved poison). You do not have to do this, and if you would like to continue to play without improved garrote, you would simply hold onto your vanish in case you drop the mark. Once the bug is fixed you would go back to vanish->ambush.

M+ as a system is horrid, just queueing and the same dungeons and whatever I don’t need to explain it

the quality of raid bosses gets worse and worse every tier. The last “good” penultimate boss was like probably aggramar or elisande

gear is super boring and an absolute nightmare to get. 4 secondary stats and the all do the same shit, tier bonuses that are just repackaged mastery buffs? Give me a break

the game does not respect anyone’s time because the moment a patch releases it’s not actually the patch, it’s all timegated to shit and you’re expected to fill your vault or else m+ players legit cannot get 639’s

On top of that blizzard has made it a habit to release the patches buggy, untested, and untuned, leaving the playerbase to test the shit for them

Blizzard moves way too slow on any class changes, like the choice nodes on deathstalker for example are so laughably untuned, there is a clear choice node, momentum vs follow the blood. Momentum is simply twice the strength in the BEST case situation. We called this out during ALPHA, and yet we still have the exact same two CT nodes on a choice node, also how is it possible that hero talent balance between the two is so bad all the time. You add a second target to a fight and fatebound falls off a fucking cliff it’s crazy

11.0.7 is a peak example of them just releasing nonsense content to keep up metrics. No one wants this dumb rng fiesta ring, no one wants a copy paste island expedition map. The patch is 2 questlines and they had to even timegate the fucking Kirin tor questline to try and stretch the content out

All the work they spent during legion and bfa and shadowlands and dragonflight to make world content a thing has ended up with war within being pretty much empty world content wise

Delves are supposed to be an “endgame pillar” but need a complete overhaul balance wise to make any sense, they received barely a footnote in season 2 about adding 2 new delves and some curios. Blizzard also used BFA to pog out over their new technology for random encounters and new super-AI fights with island expeditions that they will use in the future to make interesting content (they have not reused it since)

Every time they add a system that could work and end up being fun and probably even good at the end of the expansion when they’ve iterated on it (see also: Suramar type story based zones, islands, warfronts, torghast, maw type like “elite” zones, covenants, soulbinds, legion weapons, conduits, Azerite armor, the Azerite neck, benthic gear, horrific nightmares, the corrupted zone events from bfa, others). Legit every one of those was almost fine and just needed some extra iteration and it went up in a ball of fiery smoke at the end of the patch/expansion as blizzard hammers it into the dirt.

This game does not respect you. Blizzard has shown time and time again that they do not “learn” from their “experiments”. They push out content mainly aimed to take advantage of your FOMO in hopes of keeping player retention just high enough until the next new shiny half-assed thing. It’s been on this trajectory for nearly a decade and it simply gets worse and worse with time as blizzard continually realizes that they can get away with lazier and lazier patches and as long as there is a proverbial +2% dps ring at the end of the slop people will log in and pump that MAU number for their stockholders.

BfA has some of the best (for Alliance) player hubs though. It's such a fantastic visually put together expansion. Boralus is incredible. I'm always gonna stand for that stuff, it slaps.

Also islands owned, an evergreen mode they should've kept coming forward and being a cosmetic / content / funt hing.
