Hey, so I know that Improved Garrote causes Garrote to snapshot at +15% damage. Is that the only thing that causes it to snapshot higher? Afaik, Sanguine Blades and Deathmark doesn't affect the snapshotted damage, right?
Also, is there anything that affects the snapshot of Rupture or Crimson Tempest?

Well, it's not snapshot per se. Also it's 50% damage.

Sanguine Blades just looks at the current damage of the bleed and does a portion of its damage

Deathmark just copies the current bleed and updates dynamically. It's basically an exact copy, so if you have an improved garrote on the target and you deathmark, you'll have 2 improved garrotes after the fact

Same thing applies if you apply Garrote during Deathmark, it'll apply 2 Improved Garrotes instead

There is nothing similar for Rupture or Crimson Tempest, no.

Previously you could snapshot Rupture/CT with Nightstalker, but that's gone.

But yeah, Improved Garrote still updates dynamically to haste changes, whereas traditional snapshots in the past with Exsanguinate or whatever, would not update their tick rate dynamically if you get more haste after the snapshot.

The reason I'm asking is because the APL frequently looks at persistent multipliers to garrote/ruptue/crimson's damage, which in that case would actually only be Improved Garrote and be pointless for the other abilities.

Basically it makes it so it doesn't try to refresh a bleed that was improved in its last cast

Yeah those extra bits are not necessary anymore with Nightstalker being gone, but it also doesn't really change the behavior of the normal usage of Rupture/CT

So they're safe to keep in in case they introduce a new snapshotting mechanic in the future
