Recent Beta Buffs

Fatebound and General
-# A lot of the tuning "changes" in the general buffs there are a reset of the spec's aura buff and not actual buffs
The main points to note here:
- 10% buffs to Envenom and Crimson Tempest
- Fatebound
- Heads buff is now 10% initial (was 3%)
- Deathstalker
- Mark damage, Mark generator buff got increased, bunch of other stuff got buffed but it doesn't really matter I'm gonna be honest it's all passive number up
- Clear the witnesses got a GIANT buff to 100% (was 20%)
- The fatal intent change is just a math change from flat damage to scaling with character, the damage overall is basically the same
- Not mentioned was the change to corrupt the blood no longer resetting on rupture cast. This is a net buff but doesn't mean much else except no more OCD on the debuff ramping
What all that means
Right now, nothing, all the changes are just increasing damage, but they have some implications if tuning happens again.
- Clear the witnesses for example makes fan of knives roughly equal in single target to consume the buff. We aren't using the proc in single target currently, but with other tuning obviously it's close and can change
- There's still plenty of outstanding bugs that make it really hard to pin point what's going on. Vicious venoms here is a big question mark as it's only buffed from shiv currently. There's a possibility with some bug fixes there that in single target we drop sanguine blades and improved garrote (making vanish useless), instead taking vicious venoms. But the interactions with mastery and such are missing, which makes it tough. Also dashing scoundrel and recuperator seem to have broken again. Fatal intent is still messy in the backend code and confusing, singular focus still doesn't work with caustic/sanguine blades,
- Deathstalker on paper should be stronger everywhere, but there's insanely cringe situations where the mark sucks really bad.
- AoE and m+ is still a weird topic because of how deathstalker's mark is applied and maintained. Some example are the first boss of mists, if the tree turns friendly with a mark, you lose the mark and don't get the capstone. The same thing happens to the third boss of necrotic wake when he jumps back up on the platform, and depending on how slow you run the intermission on the last boss of necrotic wake, you can lose your mark there too. This also can happen in raid bosses. The second to last boss has an intermission where one of them disappears. This also bricks your mark if it was on that target at the time of phasing. The maze in mists breaking stealth on mob spawn can also be annoying to reapply the mark if it happens to drop.
- This is on top of the fact that singular focus is INSANELY BAD currently due to it not working with caustic spatter or sanguine blades. There's plenty of stuff where we don't know the exact intentions/interactions and until we do, there's just nothing to be done and any sims on the topic would be pointless and even more inaccurate than dungeon sims already are.
- And while it's kinda the point that you aren't target swapping, any situation where you have to target swap is really hard to justify, especially in raids. With caustic you can target swap pretty quickly, rupture and mut and you're good, but if you're in a bad spot for the mark, you're out of luck for 10-15 seconds
So what now
We wait. There's not much else really to do about it. The trees are playable and can be worked around, but things are clearly not working as intended. The start of the season is September 10th, which as of this post is a bit more than a month. Bug fixes are needed.
