If u garrote garrote CT packs it is pretty big dmg with the proc even if they get 1shot

I got around 55% and i did a sim on raidbots. 232k on sub single target build and the best gear was the same gear as i have on assasination. Ambush is currently only used with non-venthyr builds using subterfuge
The reasoning is a little complicated, but the most important of them is the difference in combo points on crit (up to 4 vs 3) and it's interaction with Flagellation.
You also have to consider the additional poison application chances. Ambush is not considerably worse or better in any situation, so you aren't losing out on much if you don't use it.
