Hi all, I'm thinking of playing rogue a bit on an alt and I can't for the life of me make sense of how to play sin. I am always so energy starved in-between cooldowns that I can cast like, 2-3 envenoms at most in between kingsbane windows (408 catchup gear for now so obviously trash, but still...). I understand how pooling should work, but I can't do anything remotely similar to the sim of the same character, a sim will have maybe ~4-5 seconds of pooling before envenom but I will literally have to either not build or spend at all for ~10 seconds beyond maintaining dots, or just never ever have energy. So wtf am I missing?

the first things that would come to mind to me would be maintaining SnD and making sure your poisons are up, or sending finishers on 4+ cp so you're not wasting a mutilate. maybe somebody who's done log reviews could speculate better, but without a log for reference, 🤷‍♂️

You can also play the Cleave build with CT (drop amp for CT) so you can go DTB with deadly + wound poison if ur group lacks an antiheal

Outlaw has been blizzards love child since it’s come out. All 3 specs of rogue are S+ tier right now and doing very well so I would try all 3 and see which you prefer. Assassination is bleed management etc and sub from what I can see is all about Cooldown management and outlaw from what I have played of it was just spamming between the eyes and pistol shot lmao 🤣 so I would play all 3 starting out and see what play style you prefer

i think sub is just the overall best fit for the tindral encounter, because you can go flying without much issues and you just roll over the super nova shields, while still having solid aoe burst for roots if needed

but assassination is probably doing fine aswell, but you need to cut your ramp time short, or you will miss the shields
