The last season of shadow lands had a system where basically every boss kill you got you got a dinar (a coin) and when you got 30 of them you could buy a bunch of items from a vendor in the main city. You would get the item at normal difficulty. You could upgrade the item by killing bosses on harder difficulties they would drop a different item and when you got enough boss kills you could use the item they combined into to upgrade to heroic/mythic ivll

The quest to collect the dinars also accelerated so the second was 20 boss kills and the third was 10
