also you just kinda don't need the extra AoE power in most groups

you're gonna have a DH or something kinda killing everything

and even with cleave you're just more focused on getting KB up and running quickly. still does good AoE in CDs

Wound poison is less than half the dmg or less of amp/instant

But it's less of a deal for sub where it's only 1% of their dam

Sanguine healing can be very high, reducing it by half is more damage (like 70m) vs the poison dmg (like 20m) based on my logged keys

Most keys I did sanguine was between 100-150m healing

This is a real problem with dungeon design and dot specs. Last season was real bad about it with both Brackenhide and Vortex Pinnacle having totems you need to kill fast or group wipes.

Having your damage tied to a long duration dot is inherently a weakness compared to doing all that damage in 1 second. There needs to be reasons to make that playstyle desirable if they are both going to parse the same overall.

Sure if you are just fighting one target for 3-5 minutes it doesnt matter
