OK, to give you a more honest answer, raw-dps-wise, all the rogue specs are pretty balanced right now. I suggest that you try both and play which one you like more. Assa is very methodical and pretty slow especially outside our CDs while OL is just zoom whackamole gcd locked constantly. Assa scales slightly better with all externals(WF/PI/Aug) but that probably shouldnt be a strong consideration if you're just learning. There's also a difference in damage profile if that matter to you. OL is very flat, just good dps going all the time, both AoE or ST, unless you get a bad dry streak of procs and rolls. Assassination is currently very bursty. We can giga pump in raid with PI, do great cleave during those burst windows, but we're kind of ehh between them compared to OL.
