I will tell you, that right now the state of assa is actually kind of different than we've seen before. Truely. Anything works. We have seen, and Whispyr specifically has tested and simmed, so many various builds. I understand the general desire for there to be pros/cons and merits to some builds vs others but in general, most available builds are very close in both playstyle and output.

okay so here's the first sim right. To note, bloodmallet stat ratio's are just ratios, and the gear doesn't really end up fitting the "golden ratio" or whatever

which is why it's higher

but you'll see the bis on the bottom

and then the 3:2:2:3 ratio at the top for crit/vers

that's the bloodmallet one

I flipped it for that middle profile

so it's instead of 3:2:2:3 on crit haste mast vers, it's 2:3:3:2

MDT solves some of the issues of dungeonslice

but it does it in a way that creates new issues

the problem with dungeonslice is that it's not really able to be a robust fight type that models different key levels or do pulls that can play to the strength of a class like assa with the prio damage

that's fixed with MDT sims

I would've always loved to have adjustable sliders for pull sizes and lengths for dslice.

Like, the variance is great. Restealths being implemented is great.

But if you're simming for a higher key where you pull biggg and the pulls last longer, it just doesn't pan out too well.

Guess that's a lot of work for a feature that's only relevant for very few people tho

like in an MDT sim, if you have downtime from 12:04 to 12:36

in every single iteration

and it heavily fucks with cooldowns because of it

we had this issue running sims for upper karazhan, where the chess event caused so much downtime that you'd lose a cast of your trinket/etc if you didn't slam it on cooldown for the last 10 minutes of the dungeon

and shifting cooldowns around to for example deathmark a target that's dying in 5 seconds

no human would ever consider doing that

but sim sat there and went "well ackethually.."

and sims them all together

so you get the MDT sim, but it's like an 8 hour long composite of a bunch of dungeons together

and that gets smashed back into one number

so you get the variance of dslice, with the accuracy of MDT sims

issue is that sims like that end up take up so much time it's almost more efficient to count them in terms of days, not hours

and if you'd ever want to sim it for your own character you'd need to know how to code

so you can inject the sim into the servers

cause you can't just run that in advanced

but uh

working on ripping out all the priest stuff in that script

ad then running it for assasination

and seeing what happens
