Yeah it's super rough to see them, I would say just send it and use the weakaura which will give you an audio cue when you pick up. With a lot of practice you'll start to learn and get used to the exact movement patterns and timings that you'll be able to pick them up reliably without actually seeing them, as they typically always spawn in the same place (unless there's a wall in the way)

Basic weakaura is pretty easy to make, the one in my pack glows when enough enemies are nearby and you're missing spatter, and glows red when your target is missing rupture (which is required to apply spatter).
