You kite orbs and gather them to extend duration, general recommendation is to do 1/1/7, which means pick up orb 1 after 1 second, second orb a second later, third orb 7 seconds later. That said, picking them up all at once is an option for less damage but can be needed during a hectic environment. Anything from 1/1/4 and 1/1/7 is basically fine.
