I've having a hard time memorizing the opener having only really the chance to play once per week. I was wondering about addons like MaxDPS to show me the rotation on the screen (at least just the opener) but never tried them before. I generally don't have much issue with the rotation outside the opener. I reguarly parse 70-80, just my improve garrote needs better management. I sometimes will miss the improved garrote window cuz i'll think I have time for one more ability and end up gcd lock and can't get it off before the proc expires, or the opposite of hitting it too soon and not getting the full duration (or worse have it on cd while the proc is up)

biggest things:
Farm crests so you can craft a 447 dagger ASAP, farm the megadungeon for free heroic track loot including 2 solid trinkets and crests (also our best in slot offhand drops off the 2nd boss), try to get some raid boss kills in, and besides that just grind dungeons and hope for rngesus to bless you with drops

sadly the limiting factor for gearing up quick is legit the crest system, cause eventually you'll run into an issue where your ilvl isn't high enough to get into keys to get aspect crests and you'd need those to craft the 447 gear

if you can sneak into a heroic raid and get some gear you'll save yourself a LOT of effort. Could also run LFR for some quick ilvl upgrades

TLDR: Big item level daggers ASAP, tier set, & big trinkets (most dungeon ones suck, harlan's dice from freehold is solid and the megadungeon trinkets are solid, everything else is kinda buttcheeks from dungeons)

It’s a skewed picture. There’s more content out there. But choose the one you wanna play with because you are capped on sparks of shadowflame ( prolly gold too if you are new to wow ). Subtlety uses 0 haste and Assasination requires between 10 and 15 % haste and thus the reason.

You have to think of what all they offer to the group, in bear’s case, near invulnerability, innervate, damage, increased range, offhealing at times, dispels, interrupts, stampeding roar, etc. Holy paladin brings a good bit of damage, powerful healing, dispels, BoP, Freedom, etc. Fire mage brings crazy aoe, crazy ST, mass bubble, mass invisibility in case a skip is necessary, arcane intellect, spriest has PI and Aoe dispel, along with a (i don’t want to call it an interrupt, but thats what it is), offhealing as necessary, vampiric embrace, great aoe, great ST. AND THEN THERES AUG, lol.. aug is aug, they do literally everything, dispels, healing, stuns, source of magic, rescue, dps increase, tank armor increases, etc.

Yeah

You can make mini-icons everywhere with texts, inserting icons into your aura as extra objects

rather than requiring separate auras, I use that in a few places, it's pretty awesome

I used to make semi-dynamic groups with single auras because I didn't know how dynamic groups worked back in WoD

where I'd have a single text aura, with an icon escape sequence out front, then a new line character ( \n ) for every row I wanted to insert

Obviously don't need to do that now, but it is nice having icons in places

I change my energy bar color during Dance and Subterfuge with a timer text on the bar for it, which includes an escape sequence icon of which is active

Sure, but it's marked as hidden. I'm still updating it nearly daily from 10.2. This is the page I've just been using as my personal backup for it as I go between PTR and live.

Because I'm using this link as my 10.1 transfer point, any auras that are specific to 10.2 (that is, have 10.2 specific spell IDs and such) have "10.2" in the name and are marked as Load: Never, so if you're importing to 10.2, you'll want to uncheck those so they load. Also if you're importing to 10.1, DTB talent actually has a different ID it seems between 10.1 and 10.2 so you'll need to reconfigure that aura specifically.

Just hiccups from the fact that I'm making this for 10.2 https://wago.io/s2JVzLWHs. I'm keeping this updated as I go, and obviously with 10.2 the above won't apply

Also a major departure from some other packs is that I hide my utility spells while off cooldown, they only show up when on cooldown, so you may not like that, can unload the Utilities group if you wish and use another pack's utility spells if that's what you prefer

Exsanguinate renamed to Sanguine Blades and has been redesigned – While above 50% of maximum Energy your Garrote, Rupture, and Crimson Tempest consume 2 Energy to duplicate 25% of any damage dealt. Passive talent.

What's the point in the 2 energy?

It's a damage boost on the talent, but it comes with a drawback, the point is to add an extra incentive to pooling above 50% energy

also in case you dont know this talent looks to be only taken in m+/sustained aoe and the 2 energy stacks per target but is offset by other talents so the key is to find a saturation point to utilize the damage bonus while negating the -energy stacking on higher targets

for sepsis what is best use case? can u actualy use "stealth" or has to be some ability related to steath. what ability should u use? a reapply of buffed garrote?

Sepsis gives you your stealth bar

And lets you use any ability that normally requires stealth (but not the Stealth ability itself)

Use case for Assassination is to always use sepsis on garrote

you do not want to garrote right before sepsis, it will put garrote on cooldown

Sepsis gives you a buff which lasts 10 seconds, which is the flag you use to indicate you have access to a stealth ability. This is something you definitely do want to track somehow, several weakauras are out there already doing this but it's straightforward to make yourself as well

Hello all. I am considering maining assassination Rogue for next patch as I vibe with the idea of a melee dot applier that can stealth. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with feral and could describe in short how they compare, and are different. Thanks in advance :).

apparently while feral maintains bleeds, most of his damage will be bite, so like subrogue evisirate is main finisher, but you can uptime a dot or 2 i guess

Majority of feral druids damage comes from bite yeah, rake and rip are probably second & third, but ferals very bite focused nowadays

Has anybody tried caustic spatter on the ptr? How much of our overall single target damage gets splashed by this? Don’t imagine it gets close to say spriests psychic link.

Check out #tww-assassination . The channel pins have sims and such for dungeon slice with spatter. Can probably get a sense from digging through those. Arm spatter is pretty strong. As our highest ST damage ability in the breakdown, Kingsbane, gets spattered out.
