Tonight was my first full run as sin. doesn't really see anything standing out on wowanalyzer but I also don't really fully understand all the intricacies of sin so theres probably a bunch of glaring things.

I just realized that a 337 rogue in my raid also playing sin parsed a 90 for ilvl. so using wowanalzer i'm comparing him to me and the only things I see being a difference is improve garrote and spesis garrote uptimes.

Yeah stats are stats, doesn’t matter which items they come from. Like, just as an example if you are already mastery heavy, beacon’s value may be lower, and if you move some mastery to crit elsewhere in your gear, the mastery on beacon would be more valuable

Do we not use vanish in the opener anymore if running sepsis? the 4 logs i checked didnt and it also isnt listed in the opener with sepsis. but when you check the improved garrot timings section it states vanihs comes up at around 2.05 into the fight? im assuming now we just dont use vanish the first 2 minutes since we have the sepsis garrot to then also have a full buffed garrot for second deathmark?

There’s no output difference. However If you have crafted in both slots and are killing Mythic sark, the 450 belt could replace your crafted so it may be more convenient to put patch on wrists so you don’t have to deal with it on swapping the piece

Well 418 is pretty low still. I'd just keep gearing and make sure your following thr guide. Taking logs helped me. I used wowanalyzer.com to improve my uptime on garrote/rupture and improve my CP usage (less waste)
On pulls of only 2 or 3 I keep CT up on all targets, garrote on 2 and rupture on one. Then just envenom spam for PB procs

In phase one, you use vanish when the empowered rupture from sepsis is about to wear off, afterwards you mostly use things on CD
in phase two vanish will come up in time to garrote both sark and the big add (2nd one)

did you update addons recently? sometimes for some reason it can change a setting. I dont know the settings of that one.. I would relog maybe and check. Or check in display for the WA, if Hid timer text is on or off and try toggling to the other and testing. or if you havent made changes to that one re-importing. or look at rupture WA vs the Garrote one and see in display what may be different. Conditions should be similar too I would think

I try to reduce stuff, I even set my damage meter alpha to 0 while in combat, minimize screen noise. I think about arrangement on screen by imaginging my eyeline movements and what information is passed over to be useful, or what will be distracting. Do progress bar lines bleed into icons if they're too close? Etc
when you're making split second decisions, minor things like that can add up

If you’re starting from no sims yet and a fresh alt, sims will probably point you towards getting haste on like 3-4 pieces, but otherwise everything else should be crit mastery. Only saying that as a baseline if you’re starting from nothing. Sims will have the best actual answer

finally making the switch to assassination and having a bit of a hard time with the sheer amount of buttons to press. I get it that the opener is muscle memory and eventually I'll get there, but I was wondering what macros one can use in order to thin the piano playing?
(For example I'm using Deathmark+vanish+garrote on a cast sequence since they're always supposed to be cast in that sequence; I do have another garrote-only bind)
I looked into casting envenom+echoing reprimand but since they're both on GCD it won't do.
I have also looked into mutilate/ambush macros but they're not possible.

it has more abilities I think, but since they can be chained together, I can survive off of two keys (Q+E) for cooldowns, whereas for sin, with dm, er, and sepsis, that means getting a 3rd bind for on-cooldown abilities, which I find a waste.

well not much, you have to get used to having multiple cooldowns, but you dont press them so often that i would see the problem as button bloat. It just takes getting used to not being able to macro shit

A good thing is to make use ot modifer macros for things you hardly press so for example.
i have rupture on 1 but on Alt-1 is slice so it's a bit awkward at the start of the pull but that's it. or in your case maybe ctrl as i see you have binds on shift and alt already.

also keeps it out of my mind so it's a modified finisher rather than another ability.
for example i've got kick as normal 6
mouseover kick as alt 6 but having two keybinds for it is weird to me.
or from stealth cheapshot is on 4 but sometimes i wanna kidney out of stealth so have that under 4 as an alt.
the way i've got my UI is more around the location is a function rather than a keybind so to speak.

Assassination = methodical planning style dot gameplay (the coolest cuz poisons and slitting people throats on the daily)
Subtlety = scripted but bursty game play surrounding micro CDs
Outlaw = ZOMG ALL THESE BUTTONS ME SMASH gameplay if you have bad wrists i don't recommend!

ass is looking amazing in 10.2 but i wouldn't learn too much just yet as you'll just confuse yourself. but making yourself aware of the changes isn't a bad idea
