PSA: Deathmark is broken and does NOT correctly copy the tick rate of exsanguinated bleeds applied pre-Deathmark. Refrain from using Exsanguinate in your builds.
Deathmark copying the exsanguinate effect is literally the reason the Exsanguinate-talent has been any good and the fact that it does not work like it should effectively kills the talent entirely.
The copied exsanguinate effect still works properly if Exsanguinate is used after Deathmark which is something that we actively try to avoid. Because Exsang is completely unusable in single target, we recommend that you refrain from using it in M+ as well even if using Exsang after Deathmark is a gain in niche, heavy AoE scenarios.
But basically instead of:
Exsanguinate + Improved Poisons (single Shiv)
You should use:
Lightweight Shiv + Venom Rush
Or Master Assassin instead of Exsanguinate in mythic+.
Playing Exsanguinate is around a 1% loss in ST.```
## I repeat, do NOT play Exsanguinate *anywhere*. It's dead.

Yeah, the combo with Exsang was to lock the hastened tick rate with Exsanguinate. But yeah we're still doing some tests to see how things work. Could be a Deathmark issue, could be an Exsanguinate issue. We're not 100% sure yet, but we know for sure that Exsanguinate is completely dead. That's for sure.

It seems objectively right to save it to use on the boss (which might coincide with a lust) and to help burn the boss faster, which is generally a much deadlier fight than a standard pack of mobs
I mean I guess if you're playing with 4 extremely sweaty people, maximizing damage would mean just use it on the trash pack, but if we're in a more regular scenario (with PUGs for example), I feel like saving Deathmark for the boss makes sense here

just remove exan. majority of the spec enjoyers don't like it, it's bugged af, and there's plenty of other options that they already created, not even requiring tons of work to get it set up. both torghast and heart of azeroth had some good stuff. think veinripper would be great in order to give assa a bit more aoe on demand, it fits the fantasy of the spec, aaand it would give us the good old playstyle of applying dots manually(for those of us that actually like that), atleast on the pulls where you have vanish up. certainly a pipe dream though

No actually, because all the poisons do the same instant damage, except wound which does half damage, however since deadly poison is a dot, you get an instant tick on application and don’t get the instant damage. Amp would however tie instant, and if you get more than 1 application (say you’re one shotting with a mutilate and both hits poison), deadly would win over instant as well
