typically in pve, you won't find much use for it, but the reduced healing can be useful for a mob that self-heals for example (wod has a couple of these), and the damage can also be useful in certain caster situations (blind -> reduced damage -> cast goes through now it's weak, as an example)

if the boss was going to die in 10 seconds you would want to exsang as soon as possible and deathmark after still.

The deathmark bleed itself speeding up isn't an issue since it does near 0 damage, but the effect of duplicated bleeds running out is real problem, and even if it's 8 seconds, you would be missing 2 seconds of duplicated bleeds in that hypothetical which you could've used.

In that situation you again want to exsang -> deathmark most likely. If the timing is so tight to make you not waste anything by getting 8 seconds of deathmark versus 16 (e.g the boss is immune in 5 seconds), then it doesn't matter and you can kinda do whatever you'd like with it

the last one is talented into exsanguinate, but uses it in deathmark (similar to how a new player might do it, roughly every minute, and then vanish -> gar -> deathmark to dupe -> exsang as a rough idea)

The thing to keep in mind though is kingsbane is more burst, more control. It also has more execute attached to it since you can't get 3/3 zoldyck with DTB, and kingsbane itself works in execute. A lot of people will prefer the control and the damage profile itself over dragon tempered blades, but if that's worth the ease and consistency to you, DTB is more than good. Here's the difference in profiles a little more visually. They're similar but you can tell the peaks and execute are a little higher for the first

the second option would be another option to cast improved garrotes, just like it is now, shadow dance is irrelevant for many other reasons, sepsis buffs will for sure make dance worse but from 10% to 12% behind isn't a difference anyone cares for

third option imo is the most exciting because it had interesting things with it, shadowblade garrotes, increased AR energy for a short period, etc. You can definitely do something with it and make it cool

technically theres a "breakpoint" where its no longer worth to do a full refresh. figuring that one out will take tons of work, and is ultimately pointless as ER and exsang have the same CD. by using ER before exsang and getting a 7 CP rupture in our opener, itll line up like that the entire fight. since you cant cast a 7cp rupture yourself, only a 6cp one, youll always get more value out of refreshing it with an anima-charged cast
