Ie. If 4 ruptures + all those garrotes means your capping on energy, you’d stop using ruptures and start spamming envenom <6 targets and ct >6 right?
Then when they start falling off you reapply

Jellycat doesnt require any form of good dps lol, check out Oasis community Cherry is always running jellycat runs. it only requires normal for jellycat and normal dps is like 10k dps lol you can do that at ilvl 100

Start on a target dummy and Id say get a weakaura or addon to track your DOT uptimes. Spend some time cranking a dummy and get practice with garrote and rupture tracking. those will be massive dps points to keep those at as close to 100% as you can

a lot of people hate it because it's not super apparent how to maximize it (if you've found your way here, you're already better than the majority of the player base)
you get people who hate the degen set up that is often required to maximize it (see 8.3 assassination w/ expedient)
you get people who absolutely LOVE it because I mean its more damage at the end of the day
you get people who hate any increase to APM because we're old and grumpy
