I don't see why this is cheating, the scoring system is based on votes made by the people in the discord. My votes do have a little more power but for instance last comp my votes changed a max of 0.1-0.3 on a score. So getting a RAAD on your mog, and changing it accordingly will probably score higher in my books, but that doesn't mean the rest will also score it higher, you know. In fact, I think it's smart haha.

I agree, I'd make unique transmog relevant for the expansion/patch and then remove the class restriction. Let the raids drop a new form of currency, so they won't have to change too much code, and with that currency we can buy it from a vendor. This would be the easiest option, especially if tier sets are coming back. Let them be relevant for the expansion/patch, and then make them obtainable for everyone afterwards.

Have you tried just using the shoulders, boots, and belt for instance? It's pretty weird to RAAD a set and give feedback on how good it matches while it suppose to match since it's a set 🤔. Personally I think it'a possible to keep 3 pieces and change the rest. Keep shoulders/chest/boots or shoulders/boots/belt imo

• For my taste too many shapes into one mog which create a cluttered feel.

ADVICE
I would trim down the mog a bit and start from the good foundation you got going on (see picture). This kind of creates the same type of mog I made for the "Edge of night" daggers. This creates a nice matching mog where the weapons stand out a bit but creates a nice focus point in the mogs (id go for them as your focus point since not a lot of people use these weapons). Then from here on out I would start adding pieces that match the remaining pieces but don't stand out too much to keep the focus on the weapons. Hope this helps! 👍

People wanted to see an alliance edge of night mog. So this something I just made while having a coffee, alliance got enough blue tints to work with. Have a look around in the dressing room, and you will actually find out that there are more blueish sets available for alliance than for horde (shocker). I've never realized how rare they were. As a raider, normal and heroic came easy as it would eventually drop and the raid team at the time I barely had any competition for the drop. Probably one DH. Then sometimes you need reset the one behind because it's standing too much in the middle. Only do it if you really like doing hard solo content

The gold/red look has been a thing since the venthyr covenant was introduced, the same as the edge of night has a big hype around it right now. Not saying it doesn't look good, but originality wise, there is a lot of room to improve 👍

  +- Like the break of flow belt piece with the purple, however it does take away some focus from the glow in the shoulders and weapons, which works kind of conflicting on the eyes (where do i look)

Switching the boots would be the better option. A lil birdie told me that instead of looking straight to the vancleef set for replacement parts, that an armour set worn by a certain cartographer might help you out..

In all fairness, thematic mogs are really personal taste. What I would do is kind of accept that a rotten look will be quite hard to achieve on a troll character. However, playing around with the skin colour can get you a decent green colour + the bone body paint, and you get a silly look skeleton/zombie looking troll, which kind of works imo. I'd def leave the goggles out tho
