Initially I didn't like the theme but loved the tmog NGL.
We are suppose to look like ethereals, those vendors you talked about (although they are so much more than vendors).
Our set was the first to be released and as they released the rest, ours just became better and better by comparison.
Maybe only druids have it better than us.
I don't know yet how hard it can be to cook with the tier pieces so I'll just wait patiently and see :3

I think you have a good foundation here, but I would recommend you change some things:

• Right now it's quite busy. There is no primary elements for the eye to focus on. You want to have some more muted elements for the eye to rest.
• I think the boots/gloves/fist weapon might be too overwhelming atm, especially as a contrast to your chest.
• The boots are too obvious they don't match too well, since they clash with the pants. (the gloves too partially, but they get saved by part of the blade of the sword and helm). If you can match more subtle boots to the helm, it will be a very nice tie-in!
• The belt kinda doesn't match anything and it seems quite out of place as a centrepiece.
• The helm I think actually is a pretty good fit! But it kinda gets bricked by the Zandalari brooch/medallion thingy.
• The claw imo should be replaced with something more elegant and/or fiery to better match the shoulders
