For the boots, unless you're like me and don't like bulky boots, you can use the boots from the same set as shoulders and gloves, from WoD!

The tabard doesn’t add (or subtract) anything for me personally. I would maybe add a long sleeve shirt or chest and see if that balances it out. The neon from the weapons & armor don’t work well with that skin tone.

I’d maybe swap to the sub mage tower appearances that are more bone based as well for the daggers.

Yeah I’ve been running a stopwatch from starting matchmaking to death and tracking my accumulated plunder at the end of each match, and there’s a definite drop off at the 4-5 minute mark.

I’ve found that it takes 5-6 minutes of play to consistently get 500 gold, with outliers going up to 600-700. However at this point it’s hard to die quickly and you probably won’t get more than 800-900 gold for the entire match. (I spent an entire game looting and ignoring pvp, eventually killed the last dude and got VR, and only got like 1100 plunder for 20 minutes of work. Bad plunder ROI.

Comparatively, loading in, doing quest, getting any loot in the immediate area gets you 300-400 plunder for 3-4 minutes of work.

For doing quest and dying asap
100,000/350 = ~286 matches
286 * 3.5 = ~1000 minutes
1000/60 = ~17 hours to renown 40

For trying to maximize loot
100,000/550 = ~181 matches
181 * 6 = 1090 minutes
1090/60 = 18.2 hours to 40

For playing a full game
100,000/850 = ~118 matches
118 * 15 = 1,770 minutes
1770/60 = 29.5 hours to 40

Basically when you stop getting 100 plunder per minute after doing your quest it’s time to have your pirate walk the plank

The queue lobby normally accounts for 60-90 seconds of the total time. The load in/landing another 15-25. And the remaining 1-2 minutes are quest completion and looting depending on which quest you get. (Get two items seems to be the worst)

One downside I observed that makes me kinda glad I did the first 30 levels before the hotfix is that people seem to be sweaty tryhards right out the gate more often now due to the increase in dropped doubloons, which makes it annoying when some level 2 tries to gank you 30 seconds into the match as you complete your “open two chests” quest

My strategy post hotfix has been

• keep barrel
• have a “Hi I’m doing quest pls don’t kill me” message saved in my clipboard for fast copy/paste
• if that doesn’t work ride the barrel into the distance and try somewhere else.
• once my quest is done just loot any plunder in the area until it seems to be drying up, then pull a bunch of mobs

Per this question, pants and chest need to be kept (obviously, since they’re the actual coat). Which leaves you one more piece.

The boots are so tall that I think they might actually be divided with half attached to the pants, so keeping boots is probably also going to be necessary.

Belt is pretty easy to replace. I’d assume one of the antorus leather belts is your best bet, but I’d need to see where the belt sits relative to the coat.

Rest should be easy to replace unless the puffy sleves come from the gloves or wrists rather than the coat

tried to do a mog for the mythic fyrakk mount
not quite sure what to do with legs/chest as i want the fire from the life bound cap and life bound boots in there (since the mount has almost the same effect on its horns)

I took a look and, if you want to maintain the boots/helmet, you could also go for pants and it wouldn't still be a full set (3/3); the shoulders work really well since, you know, it's literally fiery shoulders, so good catch on that.
We have gloves and chest remaining:

• I checked the dressing room on my phone so I don't have a proper quality image, but the gloves look okay.
• I'd definitely swap the chespiece around, I don't feel it is adding anything to your TMOG, and, might be from checking it on the phone, the game between the chespiece and the neck causes it to be a bit weird. Probably something fixed by swapping the skin color around.
