I've been playing sub in bgb this past week and I feel like it's a bit of a one trick pony, sure you can be a pain in the ass on resource maps if the other team doesn't cooperate and you can easily steal bases on your own, but in the other modes the only value I bring to the table is cc's and sometimes snipe some lonely people in places like offcarts in silvershard mines

Assa deals a fuckton of damage in teamfights, has less tools to solo cap a base but it's not like it can't

I guess it boils down on what you want your role to be, but to me, it feels like assa is a more complete spec that can fill more roles

Ngl tho, 100-0 on some oblivious people who have no trinket or defensives is always fun, or when you perma cc the healer and your team wins the fight

(Most of the times they'll be on stun dr so your kidney shot will be wasted but that's life)

Being a CC bot in a team fight is huge. You can lock down both healers for quite a while. Can force defensives and pressure.
This really depends on if your team can take advantage of it though. Lot of low-mid groups barely see anything beyond whatever button lights up on their action bar

While on assa you can just pump out some good aoe damage that's hard to heal

Yeah for sure. Can kinda go either way. I personally stick with sub because it's just what I am much more used to playing. I generally feel like I can manage CC targets better than no voice blitz randoms can.

Well if you can play your class actually quite good then sometimes its not only your fault if your team loses, just unlucky maybe, if I lose like 3 times in a row I stop q’ing rated for a bit and play skirmishes or whatever, cause at first I only played pvp for rating and climbing but once I became a lot better I enjoyed pvp in general so thats why I have more focus now on “I just wanna play” instead of “damn I just wanna climb!”

I have two Rets: One hardstuck at 2k shuffle for weeks, but 2700 blitz after 20 games
The other Ret is 2.3k shuffle after 3 days, but hardstuck in 1600 blitz
Its almost as if what you do matters like 5% of all games and the other 95% is time wasted by fat fingers griefing everyone in the entire shuffle/bgb

Weapon master is just personal preference. Not meant to be super strong. Nice when it does go off but if you’re not invested in stuff like lethality then it aint going to do too much. They shifted some damage back into base core and that’s why it is reduced (good move)

Im not afraid to be wrong cause in my mind I think Assa is still good but Sub was easier to climb (doesn't mean the same as Easier to play) if you liked playing sub. That being said over the past week or two I have been seeing tier lists and even Rogue haters starting to say Assa is mediocre now

We will see though I just made my Sub only Rogue Assa to farm conquest up for future boxes and I already am at 2187 CR in shuffle so it didnt seem horrible

Assa is the squishiest of the three specs. Which is kind of weird if you think about it. Sub has lethal burst more control and mobility (lower step cd cause talent) but its tankier and receives 8% more healing than Assa. I am not trying to get sub nerfed here but I am trying to make that make sense.
