If u are 2k cr and 2k mmr and win a game vs a 1800cr 1850 mmr team. U are expected to win that match bc ur mmr is 150 higher than theirs so its only 4 cr for winning bc ur cr matches ur mmr

If you are 2k cr and 2k mmr and face a 1800 cr 1850 mmr team and lose. The game sees that as “he lost vs a team 150 mmr beneath his mmr and 200 mmr below his cr. He is too high where he currently is for his skill bc he should’ve stomped on the other team. -15 cr

However if u are 2k cr and 2400 mmr and go vs a 2400 mmr team and win u get 20 cr if u lose that same match up bc the game is 400 mmr higher than ur cr even at 2k cr u will not lose rating

As the game sees that as “unfair” bc a 2k cr player will have a hard time in a 2400 lobby

Ur mmr is based on wins and losses as well. So a win streak boosts mmr and a loss streak reduces it. Going 1-1 constantly will keep ur mmr about the same spot

TLDR rating gains and losses is based on how your cr matches up to ur mmr and how the mmr of the lobby matches up to your own mmr

It’s why my rogue was only 1500-1600 cr while in 2.2k mmr lobbies etc. point is to get players into equal skill lobbies faster.
Way better than ur match making being tied to ur cr and cr alone. Imagine Seth (top rogue na in blitz) having to do 120 games at +20 cr a win to finally play at 2400 lobbies. (He is currently 2900) those first 60-80 games are going to suck for new pvpers and lesser skilled players just bc they are going against a Smurf account at that point

Some classes scale better with 2ndary stats like fire mage since their whole schtick is 2 crits in a row = pyroblast instant cast.
To add to this also other classes have stats they don’t ever want. Like a disc priest wants mast vers and a bit of haste. Never crit. And when the # of secondary stats we have get high up there. Disc is still putting it into mastery/vers while other classes might do haste vers mastery and some crit. This sucks for disc bc they go from say 1k stats for 1% mast to 2k for 1% to 4k for 1% so they end up getting less and less out of the extra 2ndary stat points while others are filling out all four and arnt hitting drs as quickly

generally outlaw casts more abilities and is constantly "pve'ing" more than the other specs

outlaw's playstyle generally just benefits more from dmg procs than the others

sub wants as much dmg inside it's burst windows as possible, agi procs during burst are typically far more useful

most of assa's dmg is bleeds, the more things that amp that dmg, the better

why cant i use throw glaive on a stealthed target that i am looking at with spec sight? i tested it in a duel, i dont see them. spec sight. press glaive. it doesnt throw at all. they get pulled from stealth somehow and spec sight ends. i still have 2 charges of glaive do no damage to them what so ever no slows no animation and my target of them drops. not using any macros.
I tried felblade, i felblade. felblade moves me to them. they are pulled from stealth they take no damage. and my target drops though they are made visible

Skirmishes and lower rated arenas are very different, once you get some rating most people aren’t going to trinket your opener

But if they’re trinketing your opener you just have to punish that

the problem with sub tuning isnt dmg but cdr. with 2x vanish u literally had 1min20 cloak, 1 min 20 evasion, now u also lose healing during dance, u could reset ks to get very good go, u reset shs/sprint for mobility vs hunters/mages etc to catch up and especially shdance 20 sec is huge- otherwise u most likely are 1 go behind cos backstabing to reset dance. this is real issue, so dont get excite with dmg on target dummies

as well with no cdr on shadow dance, we are back to tilt times with so many micro cc

like u just press dance and insta geting micro'ed with 0 value and possibility to do dmg, yet ur stuck to farming it with backstab back

compensating this with dmg is real copium
