honestly i really like the theory of how the mimics are actually juvenile spiders

to put it simply:
dead gorilla gets found by parasite, begins to feed on the organs inside while controlling it. it mimicks the animal from afar and it's true form (the attack form) is seen up close. when it gets too big to live inside it's shell, it bursts out and proceeds to hang onto the corpse as it grows. eventually its like the form nowadays that hunts for food by dangling the corpse down

My theory for the entire story goes as follows: Huge megacorp takes over remote planet, that is actually LIVING (signs of life are indicated by the huge pulsating heart that emits so much radiation that even being in a sightline of it kills you) Megacorp uses heart for energy, and transfers the energy into their projects/the brick factory. (mostlikely also killing ghost lady in the process) Megacorp begins testing, creates us (perfected subjects) and accidentally creates monsters in the process. this jumpstarts huge apocalyptic outbreak (signs of foliage and bite marks near the lab indicate that its been a LOOONG time since the outbreak) where the company has seemingly lost hope in the planet. When all hope is lost, they create 2 security systems to watch over the planet (or atleast protect remaining data) whilst they were away, the watcher, and the robot lady. however, after a long time with little to no human interference-

the robots slowly started to develop a view for the monsters that thought of them as perfected subjects, and us as the rejects. (allowing them to decide to kill us). Lets go back a bit, You may be asking “Wait but how do we know they left the planet?” I mean, other than the no humans and no matinence in any of the areas, we see that in the planetarium theyve clearly selected to go to either the moon, or the shrinking broccoli planet. (possibly both considering the fact that they made an accurate simulation of the moon and on the broc planet there is a selection marker, the same one we see in the smash bros parody thing.) and also the fact that they’ve litter ally built a spaceship, and we can see their orbital ring thing orbiting a different moon. but enough of that. Now, lets go back to the base storyline. Overtime, more companies are unearthed, all strains from the main company, aka canopy. L3 heart, Nutcorp, and obsidian mining all good examples of this.

in a desire for more data, canopy sent more employees to the planet which from now on we will title “platinum-4”. And now, all employees are dead! Now, heres a fun story about one: remember the ghost lady? Well, she was one of the employees sent to extract energy from the heart or gravity inverters/blackholes, and died in the lava parkour area from heat exhaustion, where you can see her remains. (someone should make an edit of that) Anyways, i got distracted again, Now where were we? Ah! Right, employees. Essentially canopy sent them down in these tiny little custom made rockets desgined for (doing some quick calculations) the ghost ladys remains are around 5,8 which means we as players are around 2,4 so she is around 2 and 1/2 gorillas tall, and judging by the height and accommodations of the rocket, we can see that it can fit around 7 humans. (just a small unimportant detail that has the exact number of companies in the game as humans for each extraction team) As we can see in the rockets, it only has 1 button, and no landing gear, meaning that canopy wanted this to be a 1 way trip for the employees, with no way back. As the humans were exploring, they realized how run down this place is, each being sent out, uncovering more and more parts of the map, until they uncover their deaths.

so employees are dead, were alive, now what do we do? what do we do with our once peaceful lives? We are given a new objective, make as much “money” as possible. Given a pointless goal, on a lifeless planet in the former husk of a once great company.

Soon after our first assignment, office is uncovered, we are given more objectives, to una live each-other, make enjoyable content for the higherups that are hiding in a ship behind a moon, afraid of their own creations. Later on, we even start digging into the very earth that once held our feet, creating a huge landscape below us which we call “the foundation” (that will be important later on)

we mine, mine, mine, mine, until we reach the core of the earth, the very center. A hellish ruined landscape, mutated versions of the fishbombs (the hellfish) coat the land in a fiery inferno with every wrong move you take, and all this for???… A pointless objective which never ends. And luckily, finally but Slowly everyone in this fandom is realizing that the monsters weren’t actual monsters… but canopy was the whole time.

Finally, weve summed it up enough to reach up to up to now, with zombies and stuff regarding the dam. Im gonna take my best guess on the dam stuff, as i am on vacation rn. In the leaks we can see that there is something called project “whale” which leads me to believe that there will be a leviathan like creature, strong enough to kill all of us, that has been trapped behind both dams for centuries.

the maps aren't just unloaded and reloaded anymore, the reality division things actually teleport you to a completely different area (the part of mines disconnected to spawn is so far below spawn you can barely see it if you clip out of the map).

Or it probably was the corruption that corrupted the entire place and it was just itsy-bitsy and it was just starting to take over that’s why there was lightning that green lightning in that update with that machine that green lightning was a virus and it corrupted everything and it was a virus because it could spawn in. I think it could give itself owner permission so then spawn in anything. But they made a mistake and it corrupted. The only place it could be at and now it’s trapped there forever.

so basically im pretty sure that canopy group either put a chip in us (simulator) or put us in a machine

a good example of this is circus, it feels very unrealistic but also seems a lot like a simulation

i mean, microwave is VERY unrealistic

same for forest or even mines

however mines leads to hell, and hell isnt proven to be real (mainly because its used in religious contexts and religion isnt proven to be real, and so on)
