#L2 BAN SYSTEM FEEDBACK AND THOUGHTS

Okay cool
Helpers hate smh
um It gave me options for this
Yeah this should be fixed, I'll fix it up when I find the time
sorry about that
I know why this happens too lol
I thought u couldn't have 4 of the same stake?
As we went from 7 to 9 the values have been updated
ah
Emm heildberg?
Last time I checked it wasn't a ranked deck
this was in casual
I feel it's good to have a way to actually pick decks and stakes in a way that's fair to both players and gives players control
i would like to have it like the old ban and pick system but not the deck and stakes but as in you ban 4 pick 3 and then pick 1 As that was more intuitive
I feel that doesn't work because of the amount of possibilities here
got shot dead in the Bronx
(they restrict stake and deck combos really just to get ppl better at decks that aren't Ghost and stakes that aren't white cause it's really just a way to get better :3)
Again let me reiterate, the goal is to have the leaderboard reward a more diverse-d player. Not that I dont want you to play the strong decks
please
After playing with the new bans system, I have the following feedback:
Initial Number of decks / Stakes:
I think that there is a nice variety! Each time feels like a different set.
Number of bans each turn:
I like it, seems good.
On the consequences of having to play more high stake games:
It's good.
Additional features such as the re-roll feature:
Good.
Overall impression:
đ
1000 x 0 = 0 tho lol
the only thing I dont like is when orange deck baits me with the new banning system
Jokes aside, I think this has been a fantastic change to the game. Obviously the novelty of the system brings interest and fun. I've played a lot more decks than usual, and more higher stake matches. All the while I still feel like every ban I get to play something that I want â I feel I have control over the deck / stake regardless of whether I'm banning first or second.
My only critique would be that there are some fan favourite decks that I feel like I've played less than I would expect. I love to play orange deck (I don't get Blocks packs), but it felt like it didn't come up as an option for a long while.
I don't have a direct solution for this that isn't flawed, nor do I really believe it needs to be addressed. But, if pressed, something along the wavelength of this:
Option to select ~3 decks as a preset before queuing into ranked. One of these decks is guaranteed to show up in the pool. This allows your favourite decks to be in the system more frequently, but it would still be easily banned if desired and you wouldn't have control over the stake.
Mind you 95% of the problem is solved with the re-roll option. Just something I noticed and could be a complete outlier piece of data. I think the current system is remarkably balanced already.
I would like to test 2-3-2-1 instead of 1-3-3-1 because it feels like the person who bans the 3 decks second has a big advantage
It feels like player 1 has more forcing power than player 2, I dont know how to explain it
well when there are 5 decks left they get to force 2 of them
0/10 ragebait
the worst system you can come up with, just let the players play what they want, this logic with random selection of random decks and stakes looks like valorant without map selection at all or pubg, just admit that most of the decks and steaks are RNG GARBAGE and people want to play stakes and decks that are less dependent on random, where are you with a lower chance will be bottomdeck the cards or simply not find what your opponent found highly risking, tear off the hands of all the developers who force players to play what they do not want. If you want people to play all decks and stakes equally, then make them less random, how will you do that? theres no such a way, you dont need to play multiplayer on them, leave ghost, abandoned and the orange deck white stake for the ranked, it will be better for everyone.
You get the same rng as your opponent bro
Majority of games you lose are your fault
Some might be bs but
At your skill level its your fault
Its your spot as a player to optimize and minimize the amount of games you lose
TEAR OFF THE HANDS OF THE DEVELOPERS
planned to be removed from casual dw
my hands :(
The new stake deck banning system is very good imo, I like that thereâs a trade off between banning to force a deck vs a stake, but the part I donât like it most decks become obsolete after the first few antes, and only give basically a voucher. I personally find decks like ghost, plasma, and even abandoned extremely interesting because they alter your play usually for the entire run. I find that with the new banning system, I almost never actually get an interesting build going because these types of decks are almost always banned when theyâre not available on low stakes. Iâm also lowkey salty cause I lost about 250 MMR with the new banning system cause I didnât practice higher stakes at all and I keep getting cooked by my opponent forcing me to play purple or gold
i feel like the same thing would happen to me, but i wouldnt lose any mmr as you cant go below 0
ite.. i'm back. after playing more on the new system, i like it. it's been fun to be exposed to new things, adapt, and learn. sorry for all the fuss before, i think i was just tilted from a lose streak that happened right as the new system dropped. i feel like i'm becoming a more well-rounded Balatro player especially when it comes to stakes. to the devs and people who thought of this change - nice work. maybe others will come around too.

mockery is so cool. was just being earnest..
W adapting to new information and changing opinions
never admit youâre wrong
never admit youâre wrong
admit you're never wrong
Admit youâre wrong? never.
i personally LOVE this new system because it allows for playing the igher stakes more often
youre wrong? never admit
Where do you find information on the new system? I can't seem to find it
Probably also doesn't help that I haven't played a ranked game yet

There have been a couple tweaks since it was unveiled, just scroll through that channel.
Thanks man
Veto should be changed to just refilling the choices, rather than forcing three white deck options imo
Feel like youâre conflating veto and reroll, theyâre supposed to be diff
Personally I think veto is confusing enough as is and should just be cut
But people wouldn't enjoy that at the lower level
Couldnât the text just say âwhite stake vetoâ and it just makes all the current options white stake
I think that would alleviate some confusion
We donât want to change all the options to white stake. That isnât how the veto works.
We want veto to offer 4/9 as white stake so either the person who vetoes gets their white stake or gets full choice over the other 5 options (as a result of their opponent using their 4 bans on all 4 white stake options)
