I also had some thoughts for how to get it. The german "Bund" translates quite often to federal. So "bundesliga" / "bundesbank" = federal league/federal bank. Additionally you could get "Feder" as german for feather, but it only gives the Plural "Federn" which doesn't combine nicely with al. Lastly, you could also try and get Federal via the spanish language or mexican translation...

I also tried going the Roger Federer route, but I could only get "Fedal" out of it...

You'll notice the problem is alphabetisation - countries alphabetically before "Republic" are given as "Country" + "Republic Of <blank>" which makes less sense than "Republic of <blank>" + "Country"

It's also why Arab Republic was so strong
