I think Agatha should have a second season called "Agatha Through Time", and show her birth (how she was born evil), what she did to be judged in Salem in 1693, how she got the Darkhold, how she met and created a bond with death, how she got pregnant in 1750?

And then the series focused on her literally through time, as she participated in historical events like being Jolene, surviving the Titanic and the Hindeburg explosion, her in 1860 in France, 1920 in England, 1980 in the United States, etc...

And for the first episodes I wanted a very Lord of the Rings vibe, like, really medieval, like the beginning of episode 9.

For me it's one of the few instances marvel actually tells a solid story within the episodic format and it doesn't feel oddly paced. It has fun characters, deals with trauma, had some of the best acting in the entire mcu, really great attention to detail, and it's super gay

Like, the one thing that gets me is how Agatha and Wican constantly switching between being haters and being team players constantly (Agatha more than Wican). Considering this show focuses on those two characters, that means it feels like everyone around them is also constantly switching too. I felt as though this at the very least, got in the way of me being able to see character development, and at worst, didn’t show any character development. This especially glaring during the last 10 minutes when, after constantly switching between liking and hating each other, Agatha as a ghost, starts teasing/being kind of “mean” (wanna use stronger word but can’t) towards Wican, and Wican attempts to “kill,” Agatha, and then in the last 10 minutes, they’re cool again.

Ironically enough, I loved the side characters when they weren’t constantly switching because of Agatha, I did find them kinda interesting. Also, I agree the acting was fire considering what they were given, and I actually liked the super gay parts

That’s why I’m trying to be empathetic though cause it’s like everyone’s saying this show is Marvel’s best, and I’m here like “is there some sort of character development I just straight up missed?” All the video essays don’t mention it, besides the intro with Agatha and her son, and even still I’d argue that intro, along with the reveal that he created the road kind of makes the character development worse (despite the fact that I actually loved that intro). Besides that though, there’s nothing no one online is saying, which brings me back to you guys. Writing wise, what makes this show one of marvel’s best

I understand not being super into it but Wiccan/Billy is well sorta messed up in his own way and has stuff he should really unpack (indirectly killing Alice + others)

but I think for Agatha it makes some sense bc she kinda only ever cared about her son and she also sees a bit of her son in Wiccan but is still sassy as ever which is reflected with her coming off as mean

plus Wiccan was sick of Agatha at the end of the show so I think he tried to make her ghost dissappear for good bc he couldn't handle seeing her after she almost willingly let Rio take him ig?

but then they sorta reconciled in a way bc both of them are fairly similar and Agatha can also be a sort of mentor/mother for the young teen

im sure whenever we get his show we'll see more of a dynamic between them maybe what do I know. thats how I see it and my personal thoughts on the two though

Between Scarlet Witch and Magik there still doesn't feel like a, magic-y hero. Strange would feel that way if he wasn't a bit more MCU aligned (can sorcery feel different than wizardry? Does to me). Agatha would be a nice slot for some magic feel, maybe not 1:1 with the show though, and honestly Billy might be better for that, especially since then you can do the Magneto family.
