what the heck is going on 😭
What’s a good comic about gambit
Gambit solo run and kelly thompsons rogue and gambit
In my opinion he's always been best in an ensemble tho
The current Gail Simone Uncanny X-Men
did Daredevil ever had symbiote
Probably in King in Black
He had the symbiote for a bit in the zdarsky run
no eternal storm skin still 😭 🤌
Yeah
Oop
Hey does anyone know if the new alias comic Is a limited series or a full run
now I wanna see that
She really loves doom, and this is baddddd
Does anyone have any psylocke recs? I've been keeping up with her new run and I've been dabbling in some of the old stuff with her
Anyone got any good Ultron recs? He’s just one of those characters that’s in so much that it’s hard to pinpoint what to read.
Finished Darren Warren Johnson's Transformers stuff
Utterly phenomenal, such a beautiful end to his run
Betsy?
Rick Remender? (I probably messed the name up) but their X-Force run
Excalibur is also apparently good
What’s some good comics about blade
Never read a marvel comic before. Where can I start reading Moon Knight comics?
Highly recommend Jeff Lemiere and jed McKay's Moon knightnruns! Jeff's first tho
Is there digital versions online? Or any links to purchaseable physical copies
You can buy them usually where books are sold. Amazon, comic shops, Barnes and Noble. But you can read it digitally on marvel unlimited, you just gotta pay a subscription
Of course, a sub. Fair enough, ty
Does anyone know where to get infamous iron man for its actual price? ($45.99) i can't find it anywhere any lower than $89
Hello everyone
Hello, good afternoon everyone
👋
👋
❤️
It's probably out of print right now so the price Is being hitched up, your best bet is buying it second hand
Or digital
Where can I read comics ?
libraries, comic book stores, order them online, read them online, buy them second hand
If you buy them second hand, you can get them at thrift stores or antique stores!
^ seconded for thrift stores. I bought a long out of print variant cover of my favorite character I didn't even know existed.
Fair enough, appreciate the help
you can also just read hour long reviews on a specific comic issue through yt
i say "review" but its more like an explanation/read through
Anyone have any good comics to recommend? I’m trying to grow my collection and collect more Marvel books
Any specific characters your Interested in?
I really like spiderman, daredevil, X-men in general, cap, and iron man
I also just wanna expand my knowledge of other characters as well
If one more person doesn't put the hyphen in Spider-man I stg
Ok so Ultinate Spider-man (Brian Micheal Bendis) is really solid
Daredevil Yellow is a decent title
I personally like the Claremont X-men
I need to read more but my tine is usually limited
Mb bro autocorrect 🤦🏼♂️
Thanks for the suggestions!
Any interest in stuff out of Marvel? Cause I have a few
I enjoy DC/ Image comics, I wanna get into the new Transformers run but I can’t find any issues anywhere so I’m just about to buy the trades, I also enjoy the Absolute Universe as well. Invincible and Spawn are also very interesting
So the first 4 volumes of Skybound Transformers are available
Collecting all 24 issues of Darren Warren Johnson's go at it
Try looking online for them to order, they're pretty easy to get from my experience
East of West is an great title
Mike Mignolas Hellboy stuff is phenomenal
Absolutely goated
It is
My favourite fictional character
He’s awesome
Low from Image is ok i guess
Not too special unfortunately and can be hard to follow in places, put it's a quick 26 issues and can be fun with it's premise
I see
Damn I really need to read more don't I
Off to a comic shop on Saturday so I'll see what collections they have
I’m going to a really good store on Wednesday about an hour away from my usual shop so hopefully I can find something new to get invested in
If your completely new to daredevil man without fear can be a great starting point and is available in paperback, zdarskys, waid, brubaker, bendis, Millers runs are also great. But Zdarskys daredevil run should be more wildly available and is overall great but messy in some aspects but still is good for newcomers
Anyone here know where I could buy avenger of the supernatural issue 5 where it isn’t 30 dollars?
/download
The Guggenheim Blade run from 06-07 is really good, Garth Ennis Punisher is good (Marvel Knights and MAX) as well as Punisher: Year One, Captain Britain and MI13 is solid and also has Blade
this is the comics chat
Guggenheim and blade...We need go call it wraps
JONATHAN HICKMAN AVENGERS AND NEW AVENGERS AND SECRET WARS IS THE BEST MARVEL STORY!
Xmen better
Do y'all think Morbius can even be salvaged today?
Now that's a bot if I have ever seen one
I feel offended
How can you say that when Busiek has one of the all-timers man????
ur name tho 🥀👀
now lets not lie please x
I do not want to fight with an X Men fan please
I only ever read Peach Momoko’s Ultimate X Men
Which is actually good btw
why? we're normal
I'm rereading momoko's run!! i love her art style
Omg YESSS!!!
lmao that’s debatable as an xmen fan myself… at least depending on the person. but i digress lol
It was so good, as someone who's skeptical of any comics with the word "ultimate"
fairs
We all know bendis' daredevil run is the best right?
💀 I mean i'd wager we're the most normal
Just L take after L take today
ok fair 😭
Daredevil slander will not be tolerated unless it ahmeds run
wym
Im just saying...WE all agree that miller's run is better
tho my personal fav will always be noncenti
Debatable close second or third
Nocenti does cook hard but also love waids run too
it's miller then waid for me if we're talking about best
i hated brubaker
Brubakers run is ok I feel like it's a let down after bendis run
But I hated ahmeds run had sm potential
I can never remember author names I remember all doodoo and goated runs based on covers alone🙏
Had to put it down after the stuff with milla...like no thank you
okay but i thought it was okay? like sorry but i hold the take that daredevil comics are either great, good, or less good. Not bad
kuder's art is beautiful, and it's an interesting take on matt's life. Just the way bullseye and kingpin were written fell flat
My main gripes is that I felt it should've committed to ideas harder like fisk being 'reformed' and I felt the seven deadly sins shtick lasted way too long and some of them felt wasted like pride. Also some of the writing with the stromwyn mushroom villain came of cringey and that whole bit felt really rushed
I really liked the aspects of him becoming a priest and looking after the Foster children but I wish they fleshed them out more
Yeahhhh i can agree with that 😞i just dont wanna fall on the hate train yk
Cuz it’s not like it’s ALL bad
Yeah there are some aspects which are really great but in execution it falls flat, some of the stories in it are also really cute like the one one with the blind girl and elektra with the cat
Hey fellas, I’m not actually a big hero fan but I dabble and I have an opinion I need to see if anyone else has thought about, that being that Spider-Man sucks let me explain i’m not knowledgeable in the law, but to my knowledge only the original Spider-Man actually shoots webs, and they’re not engineered to shoot from his web shooters. I just find it strange that a superhero named Spider-Man who got his powers from a spider has basically every power of spider, except for the main one that everyone is aware of and spiders are known for which is shooting webs, have any actual comic fans thought of this?
If he wasn’t smart enough to invent the web shooters, he would just be “Sticks-to-walls-man”
I checked Blackwulf to see Rex since he’ll be Ultron’s accessory
It’s kind of sad when Rex gets damaged and Ultron yells that humans keep destroying his companions
My statement still stands
If they bring big wheel to rivals, he’ll be op
Does anyone know about the marvel and dc comic crossover
You mean the amalgama universe crossover or the currently ongoing crossover?
what one?
there’s the one that results into the amalgam universe, a few older one offs, the current new one offs.
deadpool actually makes mention of the recent batman one when he has dialogue with moon knight
Y'know. I was putting off Ultimate Spider-man because i didn't like Bendis but this stuff is genuinely fantastic
The ones where they have marvel characters fight dc characters
thats all of them
Dont like bendis??
Nah
Not a fan of him unfortunately
I don't like the way he writes dialogue a lot of the time
But Ultimate Spider-man has that sauce
Nah thats wild, bendis goated
ironically i dont care for his ultimate spiderman all that much
listennn ive always been fickle with spider man comics
ultimate spider-man (2000) is awesome, especially the ultimate team-up series. i actually got to meet him and get the super special issue of that series signed at a con
That's genuinely so sick
Now you're doing the no hyphen on purpose lol
Big Wheel would be terrifying
Spider-Man Brand New Day trailer released spread the news!!!
maybe 🤭
Im pretty good at it
Same. It's one of my favourite passtimes
?
Whole series is an L
.
Guys any comic recommendations? I’m currently reading gwenpool
Gwenpool's a great choice!
I'd say check out Hawkeye too
Yess i love her character so much
Which one?
Hi guys
Hi
what do you lyk most abt her? game play or personality?
the Hawkeye
I like her personality she’s so carefree
Ok! Ill keep that posted
or maybe try Deadpool's Secret Wars
Yess i love deadpool, i love both pools equally 😭
How far along are you now? almost done?
I think im still on issue 6?
is Magus the opposite of Warlock? or it's just Warlock from the future?
Yes! Can't choose either! 🤯
nice! who's your second fav Marvel character?
Gotta be star-lord
Haha, good question 😅
I've been wondering the same!
gyuhhhh i've had such little energy for reading lately
i'm debating starting something totally fresh to try and jumpstart my brain back into it
i get this...comic book fatigue is normal tho, you eventually got back to it
I feel like if big wheel was in this game, he would be a tank
Who else is excited for the new Avengers movie?
meeee
bruhh
yeahhh
what?
nice they release a lot of teaser and im like 🤯
doomsday
ohhh yeah, ngl I forgot about that, I'm more excited by the spiderman movie
cause it's sooner
yeah right
cant wait how they introduce other villains
anyone here have read the latest issue for Marc Spector: Moon Knight?
cause man
||when Mr. Smith had already revealed himself to be Bushman, Zodiac got JEALOUS AF 😭 ||
the sentinels are great
do you think punisher and spider man will team up?
Infernal hulk issue 5 was so buns bro💔💔
what are you planning to try?
I’m reading it rn
How they building up dawg
wait fr?? 😭 is it worth reading?
how was it
hmmm im not sure i've been meaning to read hawkeye for a while
what are you reading atm?
The run is amazing so far😭
I love how i asked for help agen they tell me to inbox them i do qnd get no respons this is a terbul comunit and an even worses suport sytum i hope this game chrashes
Bruh this is the comics chat
And i dont care i have veen asking for help in all of the chats for 3 months and get nothing
I've heard good things abt Hawkeye 👀
I'm currently just getting into some Marvel stuff.
whic issue are you now
It’s currently 2 issues I’m mid way through the 2nd Moon Knight issue ngl
Cooool like what?
LOL yes it was so sick
have you read the other runs before it bc they add sm it’s sooo good
Yeah I’m fully caught up on it
also i just read xmen united … absolutely buns
good good i wasn’t sure if u just started w marc spector : moon knight or did the others too
i loved vengeance of the moon knight it was sooo good
I wanna see where it goes it seems interesting
I Alr know they plan to bring back krakoa at some point
Have you read caps solo run?
noo i haven’t
i mostly have been sticking w xmen n catching up on Decades of that & moon knight haha
and blade ! i’m reading a blade omnibus rn
Marc Spector: Moon Knight was PEAK!!!!
That’s understandable you should give his run a try it’s definitely interesting
i shall 👀👀
Building up to what?
The final fight between infernal hulk and probably Bruce/hulk. since the hulk scape has been in shambles. Plus Ironman has been trying to get Bruce to go after hulk
This issue isn’t buns tho it’s pretty good so far
Oh that
Idk man the "small nukes" part was kinda terrible
Plus all the other hulks trapped in the hulk scape are fighting inside but Bruce definitely needs to come back
You wanna make infernal hulk sound like a cosmic threat make it sound like his fists have the power to break planets behind them, especially since this is supposedly the strongest version
This definitely isn’t his strongest form it’s one of them since it’s the mother of horrors in hulks body. But this isn’t even his peak. But I see what you mean
I think PKJ will try to ignore that aspect as much as he can, we barely got other alters in the previous run, I don't have hopes for this one, although I would like to see hulk spaceship stuff return in some way since Bruce can subdue the hulkscape with advanced enough technology
They ignoring how insane and brutal Bruce can be when he needs to be, and if this issue is anything to go of off, hopefully we do get to see that side again
I mean at the end he did say he has to go back and iron man now has the one above all spear this could be peak writing
Man I miss al ewing's writing on hulk
This run definitely is showing us how big of a threat hulk truly is tho showing his fight against the one above all
Give this run time it’s been good so far
I think if I hadn't read immortal hulk just before getting into infernal, I would've enjoyed it much more
Did you read the run that happens before infernal ???
It sets up the whole infernal event
Yep that was my first hulk run ever
After that I decided to get into immortal and spaceship
Damn that’s valid
I kinda love the alters too much so having them be absent for too long (especially devil hulk) makes me a sad boy
I'm realizing I like characters with MPD a lot
Thought I'd mention Undead Iron Fist & Deadly Hands of K'un-Lun
These are decent tbh
50th anniversary
I can't be mad tho, the new books are actually really good
The anniversary run but they revived Danny during the Undead run which came out this year
I just hope they do more with Lin Lie
What's lin lei's current state are they doing like a miles morales Peter Parker duo thingy
Issue 2 hits on the 25th
Apparently Danny is supposed to come back soon in the MCU alongside Luke
Issue 3 on April 29th
Since they are doing the Devils Reign event
I am not gonna look at that man
Please god not Netflix "iron fist"
Netflix stuff gotta be steamrolled over cause like Finn was not it, no good writing was gonna save him
Everything about that iteration of the character totalled it
Jessica, Luke and DD got much better treatment I wonder what went wrong
Idk he kinda ruined it by not training and being a lazy actor in the defenders Netflix show he did so much better
The netflix verse was a horrible place to put him
I actually liked the idea since I grew up watching ultimate spiderman I was like yoooo Luke and Danny team up pog and then I witnessed cheeks
You can't put Iron Fist in the era afraid to be comic booky.
Danny is synonomous with Kung Fu and Comic Book funk
Exactly, Danny slapped here cause he was able to lean into who he is
In Season two they leaned into it right??
So we're getting a soft reset after Armageddon right
I did not bother watching, all I know is that the suit did not go for an actual martial artist suit and nothing fantastical or fantasy based appeared
Secret wars type deal
Somewhat
I don’t think it’ll be like that
Soft reboot I think is the aim
I just hope it doesn’t have mcu type synergy
So the world will be as is, characters will probably stay dead
Like who???
Danny obviously
weve been asking for them to stop and they keep doing it and wonder why readers arent buying comics anymore
Rick Jones as well lmao
But there'll be new changes like Mutants existing and F4 being in this universe
Cap & Tony easily
They had their trilogies done with.
Cap's one of my top heroes but he had his time, move on give Sam actual good stuff to do
I think there's a disconnect here
Mcu or Comics??
MCU
Yeah that’s true I wish it never was a thing tbh
Just remembered Armageddon is a legit thing coming up
Let ultimate spiderman continue💔💔
So idk about that?
It's clear something new's going on judging by Cap #1 redoing the intro to the world for some reason (assuming we mean road to Armaggedon)
Take the others leave him ong
He's staying gone 100%
💔💔💔
The only potential crossover I could see is Jim Hammond since I genuinely cannot remember what he last did in main marvel continuity
Imma read intergalactic black panther tomorrow see what the hell is up with that
"Blacktavius"
Some is good tbf, like Ava Starr is a better Ghost tbh
there are definitely some improvements and i love layla from mcu MK. but mostly its just ruining the perception of my faves 😭
Scott Lang as the main Ant-Man too (tho that was how it was for years iirc)
Idk I wish pym was
i wish they could both do it at the same time
i wish janet was more popular
Pym was my favorite ant man tbh that’s why
Pym's one of those who kinda just had his time I feel
He was there in the 60's he had his life did his things, ultimately made fatal mistakes.
He's a good character to look at as "the old guy who made mistakes not to follow from", just not one I can see going forward
Tbf if it wasn’t for him or Janet the avengers wouldn’t exist frfr
ABSOLUTE FACTSSSS
i wish the mcu stressed this much more
janet literally gave them the most iconic name ever
True, but even still
I don’t think people understand this because they play the biggest role in the team
Wym
Despite adoring the way the MCU deals with it's Ant-Cast, yeah Janet's the one that sucks with how she is
She's just a scientist, not a mentioned fashionista or anyone higher up in heroics. Just Hank's secondary.
this kills me so much
Idk I honestly wish the mcu handled they characters way better than they do/did
shes so much more. shes also one of she-hulks besties :/
Tho Quantumania visually showed Janet's fashionista parts
But I’m ngl the panel of him slapping Janet was taken out of context and mis handled by so many people including the writer who apologized for it several times
True.
Going from Steve in the movies to the books was night and damn day, it was a breath of actual fresh air
I actually felt inspired instead of "oh this is neat'.
And this is just talking about the 2023/2024 run of the character
Idk I thought Steve was a 1/1 to his comic counterpart
But that's not really a thing that can be brought up, Marvel went through with it.
It's a mistake all it is but Marvel comitted, the mistake is not what did Hank in it was Marvel taking that mistake in stride
If Marvel moved passed it, it wouldn't have changed Hank
Idk it’s the main thing people bring up they ignore the fact that Pym has the most trauma and mental health issues out of a lot of hero’s excluding Hulk and Sentry
I feel like his trauma could’ve atleast been explored throughout the first antman movie
I liked it though
No, I mean if Marvel treated it as a shoo away then people wouldn't bring it up.
Spider-Man did the same thing to MJ yet they acted like it didn't happen which is why no one mentions it.
I’m ngl I will say I didn’t spider-Man did that I thought it was a fake or sum
like the wild Marvel timelines! Have you read the Infinity Warlock stuff ?
hi
Heyo
Question for anyone who's read more Angela than me; has she ever actually worn the new skin she got in the season 7 battlepass in the comics?
Yeah when she ruled over hel im pretty sure
Yes, it's been a look of hers for years
Used in TinyCo's Avengers Academy and Marvel Future Fight
Yeah movie and comics Steve are two different types of heroes, they're still heroes tho
Avengers academy...
Jed MacKay's Moon Knight has ALWAYS been worth reading
FR yeah
at least to make up for having to see yet another horrendous treatment Moon Knight's been dealt with as a character in Marvel Rivals 💀
saw the interaction between him & White Fox 😒
I noticed that ☠️☠️
||Zodiac really went "HE'S MY MAN! BACK OFF BOOMER!". This'll be interesting considering now that Bushman & Zodiac are in the mix & it's like a free for all||
I'm so tired of Moon Knight being so slanderized by both devs & players already in Rivals 😭
even in the MCU, there was decency & respect for Moon Knight's DID & mental health where he was taken seriously
I barely started Deadpool kills the marvel universe, and this dude somehow killed the watcher
With the fantastic four
And Spider-Man?
How bro
heyya guys goodmorning!
How u dearie, u just Dey wake kee 😁👌
fineydearie 😆
Do you guys prefer comic Black Panther or Spider Man?
I just looked up the interaction and.....oh boy.
You main him or just a fan of character?
So I read Moon knights first issue appearance. God hes funny. Like what is your issue bru
dude's chaotic even in his first appearance
any one reads manga here?
u prefer reading it? not watching it?
Any good Hawkeye comics besides the saga
Avengers Spotlight is solid, idk what the saga is so Matt Fraction's is...ok ig?
I didn't like it much other than the introductory issues
New Avengers and then The Young Avengers Kate Bishop one he slaps there (whatever the tagline for his in-game Ronin skin says cause the line comes from that book)
hawkeye freefall?

Yesss I've read some but jjba is my favourite
yo anyone know good iron fist comics for me to not hate orson his guns are lame
i may actually pass on this one
- Hawkeye my life as a weapon
- Hawkeye freefall
- Hawkeye: kate bishop
- West Coast Avengers 2018
- Thunderbolts 2022 by Jim Zub
“Back in my day comics were the real movies!” - 👴 probably some old man
Genuinely was gonna say something in here about that yesterday
Why is Ami being ableist and the first time anyone acknowledges Marc's DID is with him getting put down for it?? Rivals MK feels like chatgpt got fed the plot of age of khonshu and the MCU show
Exactly
Spider-man currently
hey what do yall think of the current fantastic four run?
Yello
Here’s hoping Peter’s story gets fixed b/c woof…current story.
wazaaaaa
Marvel rivals
Wazzzaaaaaaaa

comic accurate spiderman skins pls
What comic is white fox from
Comics? Eh?
hi
Hello

Comical
is there anywhere to read the marvel comics outside of the unlimited app? (am I even allowed to ask this?)
google play books i think?

Hi
Y’all see any of the new covers for the upcoming issues of Rivals?
Nogi San is a great artist and she posted an upcoming cover for Blackcat on her insta.
My bad, it’s a sketch but she’s done covers in the past. So possible cover.
The covers look sick
i just read all the iron fist comics.
All of them?
I don't follow a lot of iron fist but there should be a long list right?
only the ones where hes the main character
lmfao which iron fist tho?
Can’t wait to see what happens in Armageddon
hey guys i’m tryna get into the comics, where do i start
Which characters do you like
Can we be friends
wolverine, cyclops, spidey, gambit rogue
i think everyone should start with ewing hulk
Weapon x can be good origin for wolverine, gambit 2012/ x-men origins: gambit is good too, there is quite a lot of stuff with the x-men that I haven't read but Claremonts x-men run is great. For spider-man if you want a more modern story ultimate spider-man 2000s can be a good place to start
thats cool
Do you want stuff more modern or old school?
why
Some plot twists feel kinda out there for me. Anyone else feels the same? haha
idk because I haven’t read a ton of comics before, can I get an example
thank you !! silly question, is there any background info id need to know before reading ?
Npp, most those recommendations should have the origins for those characters and plot points
Comics
What are some good comics to learn about white fox?
Anything related to agents of atlas should cover a good part of her story
Think this game will do anything that involves the OG Ultimate universe?
Like add some skins, maybe a season revolving brining it back from the depths of nothingness, etc?
could iron man beat gojo if he had no armor and no preptime
and both his legs were broken
I want ti start reading comics about venom any one able to push me in the right direction

Yes!!! Would you like to read old-school, newer ones? Symbiote events? Eddie brock, flash thompson, lee price?

I would prefer some old school ones
i think u should start with venom;lethal protector
Neat, then you'll probably like the amazing spiderman #148464084610711569000 #148464084610711569014-317, maximum carnage (venom plays a critical role in this story), venom: lethal protector and venom: the hunger, that's about as old-school as venom gets!
For those who didn’t know, Jeff the Land Shark is a genetically altered “land shark” in the Marvel Comics universe who first appeared in 2018, created by Kelly Thompson and Daniele Di Nicuolo, and comes from experiments likely done by groups like A.I.M., where animals were modified with advanced science to survive outside their natural environments, explaining what he is and how he exists as a shark that can walk on land; his exact origin location isn’t clearly shown but is implied to be secret labs used by villain organizations, placing his creation in the modern Marvel timeline after events like Secret Wars, when strange new beings became more common; Jeff’s life really begins when he’s found and adopted by Gwenpool, who names him and becomes his caretaker, turning him from an experiment into a companion and answering the key “who” in his story; he later joins the West Coast Avengers in Los Angeles alongside heroes like Kate Bishop and America Chavez, where he helps in missions using his durability, agility, and weird ability to swallow things way bigger than himself, showing how he contributes despite not having typical powers; after the team splits, Jeff keeps appearing with characters like Deadpool and eventually stars in It’s Jeff!, where his adventures take place in different locations and focus on his chaotic, curious, food-obsessed personality, often solving problems by accident; overall, Jeff’s story is about how a lab experiment became one of Marvel’s most loved and wholesome characters, known for loyalty, resilience, and cartoon-like abilities that let him survive almost anything while bringing humor and heart to the Marvel Universe.
Thank you
thank you im gonna check them all out !!
You mean the industry plant?
Chuck Norris passed away yesterday.
(I'm saying this in comics chat because he had a 1987 comic book series, which was a tie-in to the 1986 cartoon Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos, that was was published by Star Comics which is owned by Marvel Comics)
not quite 1:1 but pretty much it
is it real or just another internet rumors about Chuck norris?
I know about all the jokes and rumors about Chuck Norris, but it's true- his family gave a public statement about his passing.
It did happen, it was confirming this morning
Confirmed * lol
yeah just checked it.
hi
you are so right i cant agree more
interesting, i just know chuck norris from the memes. Didn't realise he had comics.
me too
didn't know he had comics
I wish they had a team up for White Fox and Luna and Iron Fist—… because canonically wouldn’t that fit?
Think anyone from the OG Ultimate comics will ever return? Like the other OG Ultimate Fantastic 4 members, Ultimate Peter, Ultimate Iron Man?
Hi
Wait, so did Black Cat's father die when she was 13 or when she was an adult? The comics seem to have conflicting stories
When she was an adult, he asked felicia's mom to lie to her about that when she was 13, but he became ill (can't say the specific illness due to the chat moderation) and well, let's just say he didn't make it
Can’t wait for this duo in game
Does anyone have a favorite comic cover/artist?
I LOVE Humberto Ramos
Russel Dauterman man was a blessing to storm fans everywhere love him
I will always be a sucker for Alex Ross covers
So true
There are a lot of artists that make great covers so for me I'd say Peach Momoko, E.M. Gist, and Rod Reis.
yo
Peach momoko and david marquez highkey
- David Marquez (Gail Simmone's Uncanny X-Men)
- The original Thunderbolts artists (Mark Bagley/Vince Russell)
- Captain America's Heroes Return Artists (Ron Garney, Bob Wiacheck & Digital Chameleon?)
- Simone Di Meo (Currently working on X-Men of Appocalypse)
& - Billy Tan (Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon)
For art stuff related to comics in general, Jeremy Roberts is fantastic for the "Origin Books" and other stuff
Peach momokos stuff is always beautiful especially her cover on the nightmare version of daredevil #4
Amazing artist, gotta respect that guy, i heard he voiced a character in the latin american dub for spiderman across the spiderverse
The GOAT! He's drawn lots of my favorite comic covers (specially love the one he made for the amazing spiderman 800)
David Nakayama lowk
Who’s the LEAST comic accurate character so far?
patch is like, logan's other secret identity. When he was in madripoor he went by patch and wore a white suit with an eyepatch to hide his identity as an xman. Hama wrote a pretty sweet miniseries about the alter ego in '22
I mean, idk how it works in the MCU multiverse but that's how it goes in the comics. And no problem x
whats a comic (jk)
Let’s go with Rivals specifically
I belive that hulk is the strongest charater comic wise in rivals mostly because of his feat of beating the one above all
I'm gonna say star-lord since they went along with his mcu personality retcon, he was originally a very serious, lone ranger kinda character
🔥
Moon knight was screwed over the worst. Scarlet witch too...? Like WHY is she hostile towards Magneto?? Punisher flirting with elsa as well?? All of his voicelines are kinda weird. Namor, sue, reed. Very weird stuff.
There's a bunch of details that were changed in the movies, like gamora being romantically involved with star-lord, groot being a language (his species can talk normally in the comics, he just has a condition that only allows him to say i am groot), drax's personality, mantis being star-lord's sister, etc.
has to be angela. She wasn't even originally from marvel lmfao
Everyone else is pretty basic knowledge if you're inot the NICHE niche. Like I read two agents of atlas comics in the past
True, angela was created to exist in image comics (specifically in spawn's universe) her mere existence in marvel was not meant to be at all, but now she's thor's sister and all lol
You know what they say, you gotta love a friendly neighborhood
W topic change this guy was making me go crazy
Lol
I'm not drunk enough to know the context
OH CRUD HE WAS DOING PUNS
Nevermind. Carry on
it's goated!! a little lost if you haven't read other MK stuff
I should be fine... probably
Yeah alright, kill this guy
Though, getting more epic collection graphic novels makes me feel so giddy with joy
on EVERYONE'S life i hope you get ultron jeff backline in your next rankDOWN
Expensive sure but they're so worthwhile
omnibus STAYS being the best way to consume comcis imo
Been collecting the Claremont X-men stuff because of it so agreed
Got 6 of them now
Even got some of the Ann Nocenti Daredevil run
I'll drink to that
I wish I had the alcohol to do that
Agreed
IT'S THE BEST i could talk about claremont xmen for DAYS
I SAID IT IN HERE my fav daredevil run, love noncenti more than waid and bendis and zdarsky
What comics do y'all have in your collections? I'd totally mention mine, but it'd take a while, i will mention my top 3 faves: absolute carnage, iron man iron and diamonds and avengers: time runs out
I've only read a small of part of it. Specifically part of the Typhoid Mary stuff as that was the first omnibus I collected for Daredevil
Absolutely adored it to pieces
So I'm excited to continue that arc with the next Omnibus
Ok so the fact that Nightcrawler is the greatest X-men
I just wish his mini series was just a tad bit better personally
Uhhhh cates venom, most of the krakoa era, secret wars, noncenti daredevil, claremont*** x-men. There's probably more at my folks
I can't answer this unfortunately, I'm away from home for a few days
But I have a few Marvel epic collections
A few Bendis events like Avengers vs X-men, House and M and Age of Ultron
they gon fry you for this but i hear you...I sometimes wish he was real so he could be my patron saint or something
Fry me for what? Being right?
the one from the 80s?
That's the one
was it dave who wrote that?
Cant write his last name evne tho its literally just a last name
I wish it delved more into his personal division in faith that he got from seeing the beyonder
Instead of just being random bull**** central
so basically same ish as matthew LMFAO
That's the guy
No cause like when he goes to the pastor from his church and just pours his heart out about how divided he feels is so bloody heart breaking
In the same issue as when Kitty Pryde said 'the thing'
that thing has followed her for literal DECADES 😭
I do wanna say that this issue tackles the theme of redemption and letting go of the past in such a beautiful way at the end
With Magneto talking Rachel out of killing people
being a colossus fan genuinely one of the most tiring things you can do to yourself
I loved him at the start
I thought he was such a endearing character, especially at a time in Marvels history where Russian characters were often villains
And then that happened
as an older sibling, i get how he feels with ilyanna and even mikhail
i LOVE the gentle giant trope so much
The way he acts around Kurt as well is so cool as well
Y'know what. It's been nearly 2 years since I've read the start of Claremont. My memory is a lil foggy on things
Apart from medieval fantasy bull
around the same time as me lmfao
I only started because of those omnibus's but I never git them in order.
I got 5, 7, 9 and then 12 and 13
So my Claremont experience unfortunately has gaps
Just trying to read what I can
i think that counts still
Sorry. I just love comics so much, the moment I get started talking about them is the moment I can finally just let my social anxiety go
Comics are so goated man, wish more people talked about them here
dude why do they keep treating my Moonie so dirty 😭
both actually
They are absolutely goated, but I also have massive Stockholm syndrome towards them
you talking about Werewolf by Night?
sameee
the MCU show is not even remotely in the same vein as Age of Khonshu nor Rivals Moon Knight 💀
the 2023 book? i see it sorry
wait what 2023 book?
cause as far as comic issues go, it's just MacKay & Blood Hunt for Moon Knight
Aaron's run i think it was?
didn't it go to 2024? or am i tweaking
dude, MacKay has been writing Moon Knight since 2021
Plus Ami gets the info wrong: it's not a personality disorder but a dissociative disorder. I feel like a super spy would know this?
Avengers age of khonshu?
it was kinda mid...
My favourite kind of Avengers story
The move names were cool but TBH I was not a fan of it
It was....yeah, kinda bad 😭 and i tried to like it
The art was pretty tho
I tried to like to but that one panel with MK and BP....yeah I don't think I can.
wait I still don't know which you were referring to about this 2023 Moon Knight book
cause if u thought it's Age of Khonshu, that's like an older issue
that MIGHT be my bad, i read it in 2023 😭
I'm pretty sure it came out around then tho
Oh now I really do want to read it
that's 2018
and if I'm right, Bemis also did a bad run for Moon Knight
TURN BACK B4 ITS TOO LATE!!!
*jk do whatever u want
one of the cool things about lemire was how you couldn't tell if khonshu was real or if MK was hard tweaking
The fact that aaron made him "real" was so odd
MCU Moon Knight even was still taken seriously & can throw hands
I've read Avengers vs X-men, how bad can It possibly be
Khonshu being real isn't exactly a problem tho
the age of khonshu, the 8 books? was around post covid
What happens in that one...?
Where do i start?
Do i start at Cyclops killing Xavier?
Age of Khonshu is pre-COVID
2021 onward, Jed MacKay took over Moon Knight
I know some people didn't mind it but it really did rub me the long way. I liked the intrigue
yeah that makes sense cuz i know vol 7 or 8 was jan of 2021
TBH I'd prefer Khonshu being real
ehh as far as I've only read Ellis, Lemire, & MacKay, I have looked into Moon Knight's comic history & uhm...I can see why MCU Moon Knight can never be comic accurate
cause how can you make him comic accurate when his lore is all over the place??? Sure you can just make it like "everything is not real", but it's not something you can just keep overdoing in the long run
one minute, he's street level, next thing you know, he's an Avenger, then another minute you're somehow godly
he wasn't really consistent basically...
been meaning to read his older comics starting with his debut in Werewolf by Night
keep it that way, if that's the catalogue you will HATE what aaron did 😭 😭
the issues with the mcu show wasn't even comic accurate, like come on, this is the mcu we're talking about. We will never get comic accurate, from starlord, to mantis, to hulk, to bucky.
the issue was everything else imo
anyways, I REALLY wish Moon Knight is taken more seriously in Rivals
LITERALLY this
if it's cause that it wasn't really violent and Feige made it seem like it, sure
but will say that at the time Moon Knight was being produced, no R-rated movie or TV-MA show were in Disney+, there wasn't even parental controls for Disney+ at the time
so they were producing it with TV-14 in mind, it would also explain the dissociation blackout moments (which were actually well done & not even overdone at all. The finale was the one time the blackout didn't necessarily sit well for some)
as for Feige, well that is on him
and I'm pretty sure it was around the time he's stretched thin with overseeing projects
again, makes perfect sense, i can sympathize with this, same reason they kept dancing around thing's like bruce's past and the red room
But why remove anything about Marc being Jewish?
bruh Marc in the MCU is Jewish
There was ONE scene with him with a kippah, that doesn't cut it for me 💔
if it's cause Oscar Isaac not being Jewish
then it would mean Ian McKellen & Michael Fassbender weren't the right choice either for playing Magneto
That's a completely different thing
But yes youre right. As much as i love the acting chops it's important to me that the actors are Jewish
you mean when he threw it down? cause that scene had a purpose of showing Marc finally breaking down in self-loathe. It was meant to be disrespectful, cause Marc's disrespecting himself. He NEVER respects & loves himself.
Ig they just dont rlly focus on it in the mcu cuz mental health is more central in the show
Pretty sure if religion is in play, all it matters is understanding said religion.
It's actually Oscar's 4th time playing a Jewish character.
Wait fr? That's wild
and in fact, the previous times Oscar played a Jewish character, it's been explored or ingrained more
yes
The Nativity Story where he played Joseph, Operation Finale where he played an agent hunting down a war criminal, & Scenes from a Marriage where he played a Orthodox Jewish professor (said miniseries was also directed by a Jewish director)
There's also a cultural aspect. You throw a kippah down, you kiss it picking it up back up
+Kind of wish they delved more into Marc's dad. How he grew up with antisemitism. It might not be that serious to the average viewer but for me? It meant something to me 💔
Jewish is part of his identity, right?
why do you think he threw that kippah when he tried to go to his mother's shiva?
Yeah, yeah, he was feeling broken and mourning and all that. I get it feels like such a minor thing but it's not for me. Especially after reading how the comics portrayed this important part of marc's identity
which is exactly why they showed that
if it was never an important part of his identity, that wouldn't have happened, he'd just collapse & breakdown only.
wouldn't necessarily say you should like it, but that moment had purpose in the end.
Anyways, I love Moon Knight for being a complex character, a character with depth & nuance in both the comics & MCU, which Rivals sorely lacks.
you also read Marc Spector: Moon Knight (2026) recently?
It's something, i guess..? It deserves more in my opinion
I can like the mcu show for what it is, but after reading the 2021 books after watching it...it was so eh
oooh i have not. it's on my list fosho, i love mackay
idk how i feel about a relaunch but it's jed so we dont care
Feel like that part of representation is best suited in a future story since they were establishing an entirely new complex character, which is all the more frustrating he has not returned since 2022
idt it's good for new readers tho, it gets confusing eventually
well, it could be worst honestly
Moon Knight's comic history has always been all over the place
Can someone fill me in on what's happening?
What are some good comics about The Chameleon
hii
Send him to jail
Nintendo Switch themed PlayStation 5 controller.
Playtendo One
Bro predicted
Free him!

Is there a free way to read comics and i want to read comics of characters in order
Whats some good epic collections to get?
Yeah, you can look them up online, i'm confident you can find any comic out there
Jonathan hickman's avengers and new avengers run (2012-2016) is marvel's ultimate peak imo
Thnks mate
My poor bank account. Around £230 on graphic novels just this weekend
Worth
@snow pewter
.
Marvel logic: kids know how to pilot an rocket
Tbf, two of those kids are related to Sue, Reed, and Jonny. I assume they have some training and experience.
I mean, their entire family are astronauts and one of those children is smarter than reed himself, it makes about enough sense in their particular case
Franklin was the one piloting
But like, shouldn't he be able to?
I mean he is 14 😭
Welp, i've seen 12 year olds drive cars, and while this is no car at all, his entire family circle is surrounded by astronauts, he should know a thing or 2 about a rocket ship, plus, valeria trusts he can do it, if she knows he's capable, then he's capable
LMAO
NEURON ACTIVISION
Poly parents
I wouldn't really say that.... just a lot of step dads, mums, whatever.
don't forget one of them is the goddaughter of doom
he can rewrite reality
Which spiderman comic should I read first (to start it off)
Drive a car is something, PILOT A ROCKET is smth else
Like...first time reading spidey?
Yea where should I start
Uhhhh brand new day
Alright I'll check it out thx
Bendis USM too
That's... what i just said
hello guys
The old Ultimate Spider-man is a decent way to start.
Though I do think going back in time to around the Gerry Conway run in the early 70's is a good way
If you're familiar with 60's comics, I do recommend just starting out from the very beginning with Amazing Fantasy 15 and continue on with his Stan Lee and Steve Ditko run
Though I do think USM is a good starting point
The only comic I read so far is the first few moon knight but that's about it
I want to start reading them but idk where to start
The USM run is a good one
Also I think Platnium books while I don't particularly like them all too much now, I do think they're good ways to start with a character
They're how I started out with Spider-man
Haven't even read that yet
neither have i, i dont read spiderman 😭 😭
Though Dan Slotts stuff I did enjoy reading when getting into Spidey
Kinda cringe
I'm joking
Still kinda cringe
Though you do save yourself from being disappointed on a near annual basis
Yeah 😔
it was in my local library, looked good
Idk I don't pay attention too much to modern Peter
Miles is just a better character nowadays, he's my go to when it comes to Spider-man
Hello i need guidance with this comic stuff lol
What comic character or team you thinking about?
No i just feel like i still havent connected with liking comics
Ive been reading gwenpool
And i dont like how the art switches
That's a common thing
And sometimes everything’s like so confusing to me
So i’ve heard
Is it the multiple characters being introduced and such like that?
Mostly yeah
Yeah that'll happen when it comes down to characters from a large history. Best advice i can give with stuff like that is to take it as it goes
I read comics on my phone and sometimes its hard to try and have fun because its too small
Ive read ultimate spiderman and dropped it on issue 7 cuz of the same thing
With the Ultimate stuff that is meant to be a fresh start
I really liked inhumans, marvel knights black panther and daredevil
Yeah i actually looked up comic guides
Maybe i should try reading comics on my laptop that has a bigger screen? Idk
Good idea
Though zooming on a phone helps but it can be annoying
Especially for splash pages
Yes!!
It ruins the experience so much
I find it's decent enough personally
I just prefer physical editions
Also I would try some independent titles as well outside of superhero comics
I’ll keep that posted, thanks!
If you need any recommendations just be sure to ask
Weirdly enough not everyone here talks just Marvel so go nuts
I would personally recommend stuff like Hellboy, Skybound Transformers and East of West
The two walked down the slot canyon oblivious to the sound of thunder in the distance.
Highkey transformers the only media i like the comics off, you aint ever gonna catch me reading no DC content
other than marvel obvi
I feel like DC beats marvel in the Comics, Animated shows and movies, and games (besides rivals) but Marvel got them beat on live action movies
Both are goated tho obvi
nah i hard disagree
i fully disagree with that
Personal opinion but I would like to hear y’all’s explanation on it
As a dc fan I have to agree but comics are more so even on both sides in my opinion
I kinda can’t talk because I’ve only read a few DC comics and like no marvel ones
But animated movies and shows it’s gotta go to DC
acting as if the two spiderverse movies dont solo everything dc ever put out
I have a bunch of comic variants
I think Mask of the Phantasm near about challenges it
Same with The Batman
But Snyder films definitely can't touch them
Thing is. I don't particularly like comparing them too much. Just like seeing them as their own thing
I still do it from time to time though like with Absolute
I do vastly prefer Marvel comics though
Only Into is good be so fr. Across is so bad man
Nah Across was really damn good
Honestly calling a film with so much creativity a bad film is so weird considering films like Disaster Movie exist
Now that's a bad film
The Black Suit has to be the most misunderstood thing in Spider-Man lore.
No, it doesn’t make Peter aggressive.
No, it is not a slimy costume.
No, Peter does not know it’s an alien and when he finds out, he immediately gets rid of it.
It’s no longer the alien after issue #258.
At least, originally it didn't make Peter aggressive. Today, from a story telling perspective, it is actually better when it heightens Peter’s aggression and tries to bond with him.
Dc heroes is more like gods
Some of them are others are just regular fellas
But I agree that the spider verse movies are goated both of them and the Snyder movies are poop
it's more better how the characters was made in marvel.
across might be my fav animated movie tbh, really loved it
Because it has concepts but fails at everything else alongside accurately dealing with said concepts
What do you consider it failed at? And which are these concepts you're talking about?
hi
hello hru?
am fine just got home
from work?
i go to college for classes
Adaptation for one. So many characters are completely misused, Miguel being the prime example.
The story just feels so underbaked and evidently rushed to cram in as much
And yet it takes it's time with developing Mile's relationship with his parents and how he's fighting to make right by them.
Sure it isn't a full story but that's how it is with 2 parter movies and I think it does a good job at not rushing to a conclusion.
The film looks absolutely gorgeous from a technical standpoint and the idea of making every universe have it's own art style is brilliant and well done
Just because something is a bad adaptation does not make a bad movie
If that's the case we could go on and on about how the MCU is the biggest pile of crap in the world
I understand not liking the film, not every film is going to please everyone and that's fine, it would be boring if we all had the same opinion
But saying it's bad is just not objective
There are objectively bad films i will not deny that, Across the Spider-verse just isn't that
I will say that I think the audio mixing is just not particularly the best in the film and some dialogue at times feel out of place, particularly in the opening moments of the film involving Spider-gwen.
And yeah Miguel is definitely seen in a lesser light now because of it, but that's more so a problem with people just not taking the time out to explore a character and taking the film as gospel
If the characters just aren't easy to attach to then that's a massive failure.
Compared to the first, everyone feels wrong
Hey guys… I’m new here. Welcome me 😁
Heii
Me personally like DC more but I respect it
Wuddup comics
Average in that family ig
Omg
Fantastic
I see, i guess this probably explains the difference in point of view then, to me a good adaptation is almost necessarily gonna change up its characters
Imo miguel was well done in the movie, he made sense with himself and the universe, and that's what matters
This i don't necessarily agree with, i feel like the rythm works very well, and as horseguy said, the important parts like mile's relationship with his parents takes its time to be well developped, same with gwen's feelings
And yet i found almost every character in this movie way easier to attach to than anyone during the first movie
First movie to me felt a lot like superhero people having to deal with superhero stuff
2nd feels like superhero people dealing with everyday life issues that makes it easy to identify ourselves to them
(I still love into, but i find it leagues away from across)
I mesh with the down to earth stuff so much
Slice of life moments are essential to a large chunk of Marvel characters, especially those street level characters like Spider-man, Daredevil and so on and so forth
For that reason along I connected quite heavily with both Miles and Gwen, hell I really appreciate how Gwens reveal to her family could be seen as reminiscent to coming out to a family member
Love lil things like that
Also Spider-Punk is just goated and I would love to see more of Hobie
I did not realise that, but now that you mention it, you might be onto something there
Helps that Daniel Kaluuya is one of my favourite actors
The pastel colours help as well
-# i didn't really like spider punk tbh
But i don't mind seeing more of him
(Something i did love about him though is the way he was animated, even that screams his identity xD)
I can say that for every single spider-person
Yeah Miguel is different but I'm going to say something people will not like
If a character is changed a bit to service the story and make it work thematically then it's not particularly a bad thing
I 100% agree with that
I say this because Guardians of the Galaxy is seen as the best trilogy in the MCU and it does do this as well
Now if it is trying to be 1 to 1 one as adaptation then yeah it can be a problem
Otherwise though I don't mind it too much
I say 'too much' cause I di think for some characters there are some big no no's.
Like Batman and Superman killing
Has anyone read the X-Men 97 (2024) comic book run?
what about here
Hello everyone
hola
Has anybody read Cody Ziglar’s recent Deadpool run? Wondering if it’s worth it.
Let's larp
My local comic shop closed down
Nice
heyyy
hi
Hey
Superman red and blue is so good, top 3 Superman runs
I love how rivals is comic based
It was never gonna be based on anything else.
What actually shocks is me is how recent the storylines are that are being used
Knull, Ultimate X-Men with Sai (Psylocke), Iron Fist 50th anniversary (2024), Undead Iron Fist (2025), Iron Fist (2022, the Lin Lie run)
who is the better antihero Deadpool or venom?
Anyone going to fan fusion in Phx? Early june
Deadpool has a stronger moral compass. Venom started as a villain terrorizing Spider-Man and his family and even now Eddie Brock is still a controversial person in-continuity. Deadpool is a wacko but cares deeply about children and is willing to break rules if he thinks it’s right. I’m probably grossly understating both of them though considering their long histories.
Venom I feel is the best, anti-hero is more of a mid way point than a long standing title.
You had Venom who did heinous stuff whilst doing it for the right reason whilst Deadpool does it for fun, to which allowed them to grow and evolve over that time into being a hero.
Deadpool is an antagonist moreso than anti hero I think since he's more just done whatever "for the plot" and hasn't changed for decades
Can anyone help explain comic book pricing in very simple terms? For reference I collect comics that include Morbius and other Legion of Monsters characters like Elsa Bloodstone and Werewolf by Night but often times the pricing makes no sense to me.
I know condition and first print v reprints affect prices and stuff, but IDK if there’s a scale people use to determine those things affecting the value or if it’s just arbitrary and what people will pay goes. I’ve seen an Amazing Spider-Man #679.1 (1999) at my local comic shop for 30 bucks while an Adventure into Fear #24 (1970) was like 20 bucks even if it did have a barely noticeable pink stain on the cover. I love collecting comics but I also don’t want to get ripped off.
A lot of it is personal value/age/iconic stuff
It's hard to gauge second hand stuff moreso than what's actually being sold officially
ty for the help anyways 😭 is there any shorthands that i can use to gauge prices tho? ik a lot of 80s and 90s comics are very low value but im wondering if there are any other general rules of thumb i can use to gauge prices so i don’t have to look up every single comic price
It's more research whilst you're there in the moment that's the most short hand you could figure out.
Again, third parties like cost of living would also bump up prices
tyy! I hope i won’t look like an idiot looking up prices for like an hour in the shop i guess 😭😭
Nope, that's just how the schtick is usually when it's second hand selling
I see how Age of Revelation is a dystopia future.
Miles’ name is Spin.
If he stuck to Spider-Man it would never have happened.
rivals psylocke is not from ultimate x-men, she's from peach momokos earlier comic demon days. the psylocke in her ultimate x-men series is named Kanon and is a descendant of Sai
Ah
How u gona get comics now :/
I can’t
probably gonna renew Marvel Unlimited when I cancel something else
try book stores
although id recommend unlimited for value
My local store doesn’t carry single issues, only trades
yo how i get banned from chat for asking someone to switch characters
u must’ve said more than that
i didnt
all i ask all game was for a dare devil to switch and said thank you
then i was muted
that could’ve been Kingpin playing as DD.
There’s a vid the actors did where he was playing as DD
be nice to ur daredevils
i was nice he was 12 and 12 and we were getting dove
asked for him to go thing to help
i cant believe i have been playing since day 0 and they ban me from chat for no reason but someone reporting me for asking them to switch.
What would Dr. Doom think of MF DOOM?
My ‘Road to Secret Wars’ is almost done! I got ‘Infinity’, Age of Ultron, Axis, Miles Morales Trade and all four volumes of FF(Hickmans)
Woahh, nice!!
this journey was my literal canon event!! good luck!!
Love this part of that Ghost Rider 2007 run
Why are the text bubbles so small?
is this the one with mister elecven
i forgor
im asking cuz i remember like 19 different ghost riders in 2007 😭
Ok as Assasin Nation was a bit meh
All those 6 issues for an anticlimactic ending
Brilliant work
DEADLY HANDS OF K'UN-LUN #2 TODAY 🗣️🔥
PEAK
fire comic
I forgot to send this here when I was in San Diego but I got these at Now or Never comics when I was on vacation!
Anyone else read the x-men united comic?
Imma pick #2 up soon I'm really curious to see when Danny and lin lie will meet up
Moving so just packed thousands of my comics I hope none of them get damaged
the
Need to read the Spidey and invincible crossover
:o yes! it was really cool 🙂↕️
How longs the series 🤔?
its just 1 issue part of the marvel team up series i think
i don't want to work today i want to stay home and read my comic books
Was it good?
i thought it was good but i havent read many x-men comics yet so i might be biased idk
I genuinely think this book/event has been made for me 😭
Outside of Elektra and Lin Lie/White Fox's comic stuff (but loving them from Future Fight) I understand where everyone's come from and have accidentally captured the reading order for this
more people should read moon knight tbh
Is there like an actual comic where spiderman has yellow eyes? I see like fanart with the yellow lenses and I want to use that for my mii design on the new tomodachi life :)
its so hard to find agents of atlas comics in person 🥀🥀
Yeah, it was a niche 2018/2019 thing.
Would imagine most books got taken back in 2024 when Luna got caught in RIVALS hype wave
Can someone give me a good recommendation on where to start with scarlet witch comics??
House of M is important. Robinson's scarlet witch is good if youve seen the wandavision show. Avenger's children's crusade.
what should i start reading first
Thank you so much Venom’s jiggly skirt
also yes nerf wolverine
Which characters do you like
quicksilver
Peter David's x factor run is pretty good, but tbh haven't read much quicksilver
i hear good things about his 2018 standalone
Yessss OMG thank you!! Happy reading twin <33
Who is the best Spiderman
Probably Peter Parker
Yeah i like tom's the best
Okay
I like andrew
Magneto and rogue married in comic
Yk?
probably tobey

We really got larpers in the comic channel 😭
Hi
Tobey is childhood.
Andrew is relatable.
Love absolute batman it's so fun
Quicksilver Is god
When did Storm become an Avenger?
I saw a comment and it made me think that would be a pretty interesting match up so I’ll ask it here; Gambit vs Black Panther, who wins?
you don’t read a lot of comics do you?
its harder to list non-avengers than avengers.
Okay well you dont have to say it like that 😭
@blazing sentinel Avengers volume 9. After the fall of krakoa sam wilson/captain america asked her to join the avengers as their mutant representative.
which versions of both characters?
im not trying to b mean, sorry if u feel offended
Hey guys
Ultimate universe is not canon pls😭🙏
They didn’t state so id say whichever versions would be even met
So not literal horsemen of death Gambit vs Star Panther (not even sure if those are even) 😭
What of the 2
I love remy but star panther solos.
Gambit, at his most powerful, which is VERY VERY powerful, doesn't even qualify as an omega level mutant. Star panther is a cosmic deity
All good, I remember hearing about that one time where Mr Fantastic and Invis had a short stint as Avengers
I'd say equal about.
Panther's got more experience but a thief vs a hunter feels like an interesting match especially when the thief can just throw bombs
“Think fast chucklenuts” 💥
facts
andrew would be both childhood and relatable icl
She’s joined a few times over the years, storm is one of the few mutants who has kind of outgrown the X Men, and like while she’s still apart of the mutant universe in major ways, since she’s probably the most popular female marvel hero she gets representation in all corners of the universe
Hmm is she like Phoenix? Cause iirc Jean has her own solo right now
Both of these characters are iconic x men, omega level mutants and hold cosmic power, but the phoenix force does a lot of heavy lifting for jeans impact outside of Earth and Jean isn’t as linked to a lot of the corners of the marvel universe. Storm has had major connections to the Wakandan side of marvel, the Avengers and X Men and more recently she’s become more linked to the cosmic space and even the sorcerer side of marvel so I hope that explains more of the difference that I at least came to interpret
And jeans solo ongoing is something I never finished so I can’t really comment on that
Oh OK, that makes sense
Will the comics be influenced by this games like how how the MCU influenced the comics
I doubt it, there is a standalone rivals comic though its almost been referenced recently in other comics
Not in a retcon kinda way since marvel rivals is very comic accurate, but it might influence a character's popularity (like luna snow, jeff, and other not overly popular characters) they did make marvel rivals a game within the comics tho, in the most recent spiderman comic we see dylan brock (eddie brock's son) playing marvel rivals briefly
Thats how you know eddie failed as a father
Sweed dreams mode actívate
One message removed from a suspended account.
Well...yeah.
Concepts and new comics have already been done so.
Doom's Division was Agents of Atlas, Luna Snow World Tour existing, Hela becoming Queen in Black, etc.
Spider-Man, which baffles me how that game exists there when the bios and characters are there.
Cause IRL liscensing gotta exist

I want secret war un Marvel Rivals
After I read these 12 imma go back for that one and “Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E” personal venture. Hidden stuff there too.
But You mean Secret Wars right?
hello everyone
You mean secret war as in the secret war with latveria or secret war[s]? (yeah, a single letter in the end makes kind of a big difference)
You reading off Globalcomix?
Across the Spiderverse had Ganke playing Spider-Man 2.
I liked the latest Ultimates Endgame chapter
Everyone is gathering in a single place soon. And there will be a major focus on Spider-Man according to the Cover of the upcoming chapter next month. No one is safe. Its a alternate universe. Even without Miles Morales existing there no one said there wouldn't be deads.
Spider-Man is no glass doll. He is part of the Marvel Universe. Him being part of a event like Ultimates Endgame makes sense. Since the very beggining of that universe the Maker tried to make sure Spider-Man never existed.
Not in character direction but I think Luna Snow specifically will be elevated in the future
Paul un Marvel Rivals 💀
I COME BEARING GREAT NEWS MY FELLOW NERDS PAUL WAS SLAUGHTERED, SOON TO BE FORGOTTEN AND NOT GONE SOON ENOUGH
