Firstly, if you have the launch option -noeac you MUST remove this for ranked or you will get an error when queuing. Don't get this confused with the EAC bugs.
Secondly, if you have a 32 bit OS or are running Windows vista or older your system isn't supported by the anticheat, either use -noeac as a launch option or upgrade.

If you are having problems such as: The game crashing to a black screen when opening it, any EAC errors when launching the game (such as; "Failed to Initialise Game Launcher") or other problems directly linked to EasyAntiCheat, please try some of the fixes below:

- Verify integrity of game files, if the game has installed badly this will fix it - Right click Brawlhalla in your steam library > properties > local files > Verify integrity of game files...

- Try reinstalling to a DIFFERENT drive to what you had BH installed on before, if you have a C: and D: drive and Brawlhalla was installed on C: try reinstalling on D: if you only have one drive just reinstall the game as normal.

- Running Brawlhalla as admin to do this; goto brawlhalla's local files > right click brawlhalla.exe > run as administrator / If no luck try running BrawlhallaEAC.exe as administrator instead

- Making an antivirus exception: search windows defender firewall > allow and app or feature... (on the left) > change settings > scroll down to EAC and tick both boxes.
IF EAC isn't there: go to allow another app > browse > go to the brawlhalla directory \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Brawlhalla\ > add BrawlhallaEAC.exe > tick both boxes for that.
Note: External Antiviruses must also have exceptions made (norton, avast, etc).

- Go into brawlhalla launch options > enter -noeac > open brawlhalla > once its opened completely close the game > close steam completely (right click it in the bottom right icon tray and press exit) > reopen steam > remove -noeac > try reopening the game as normal

Guys, I've been playing brawl on the controller for 2 years, and I never had any errors with it in game. I played with -noeac activated, but after the update that forces the player to play with the anticheat activated, currently my controller presented a response delay. I did the tests, I deactivated the anti cheat and my control was normal.. I activated it again, and the delay persisted, I saw tutorials on how to reduce the delay, but without conclusion. I would like some help. (I can't play on keyboard)

hey guys, weird things happening to me. Im playing on EU region. Everytime I go to play, I have serious input issues and delay in my keyboard. But when I play with my friends in customs or 2s, doesnt matter, as long as I don't own the lobby, the game runs 100% good. If im the Leader of the lobby, the game "sucks" as if im playing 1s. first of all be on the techtest
now use -framefixunbounded
if you stutter, add -setfps 60 (replace 60 with your monitor's) refresh rate. if you don't get stutters, you can try and use -unlockfps too.

if you get stutter from -framefixunbounded even with -setfps, use -framefix instead

also set brawlhalla to high priority in task manager

Guys, I've been playing brawl on the controller for 2 years, and I never had any errors with it in game. I played with -noeac activated, but after the update that forces the player to play with the anticheat activated, currently my controller presented a response delay. I did the tests, I deactivated the anti cheat and my control was normal.. I activated it again, and the delay persisted, I saw tutorials on how to reduce the delay, but without conclusion. I would like some help. (I can't play on keyboard)

Hi, I've seen some conflicting things about stats particularly dex. I think this is partly due to information I've found being from different patches.
As of the current patch what do all the stats (Strength, Defense, Dexterity, and Speed) do?
Why does it seem like many players are against high dex or say something like "low dex is actually high dex"?

strength increases the damage and force of every hit
defense reduces the damage you take and the amount of knockback you receive when you're hit
speed increases your horizontal movement speed when you're walking/sprinting on the ground or in the air
dexterity reduces the amount of endlag (recovery frames) on attacks, but the effects of dexterity are so small that it's basically useless unless it gives you a true combo

Firstly, if you have the launch option -noeac you MUST remove this for ranked or you will get an error when queuing. Don't get this confused with the EAC bugs.
Secondly, if you have a 32 bit OS or are running Windows vista or older your system isn't supported by the anticheat, either use -noeac as a launch option or upgrade.

If you are having problems such as: The game crashing to a black screen when opening it, any EAC errors when launching the game (such as; "Failed to Initialise Game Launcher") or other problems directly linked to EasyAntiCheat, please try some of the fixes below:

- Verify integrity of game files, if the game has installed badly this will fix it - Right click Brawlhalla in your steam library > properties > local files > Verify integrity of game files...

- Try reinstalling to a DIFFERENT drive to what you had BH installed on before, if you have a C: and D: drive and Brawlhalla was installed on C: try reinstalling on D: if you only have one drive just reinstall the game as normal.

- Running Brawlhalla as admin to do this; goto brawlhalla's local files > right click brawlhalla.exe > run as administrator / If no luck try running BrawlhallaEAC.exe as administrator instead

- Making an antivirus exception: search windows defender firewall > allow and app or feature... (on the left) > change settings > scroll down to EAC and tick both boxes.
IF EAC isn't there: go to allow another app > browse > go to the brawlhalla directory \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Brawlhalla\ > add BrawlhallaEAC.exe > tick both boxes for that.
Note: External Antiviruses must also have exceptions made (norton, avast, etc).

- Go into brawlhalla launch options > enter -noeac > open brawlhalla > once its opened completely close the game > close steam completely (right click it in the bottom right icon tray and press exit) > reopen steam > remove -noeac > try reopening the game as normal

the main thing that's changed with gauntlets is combos involving nair have been changed quite a bit

So I’m familiar with dash jumping but is there a short hop mechanic in this game?
I ask because I’ve been practicing nlight > nair on scythe but I frequently do the nair too late.
I’ve had success “buffering the input” by jumping with light attack pressed so it comes out quick. I’m wondering if that’s just how you do it or if my consistency issue lies in some jump mechanic

how do i improve performance on mac? i run at around 40-50 fps, keep getting constant frame drops, and freezes that happen frequently throughout games(some freezes worse than others). on top of that, i drop to 10-20 fps when there are 4 or more people in the game.

If you're getting an error related to "easy anti cheat", add the -noeac launch option in Steam -> Brawlhalla -> Settings -> Properties:

1. Right click the game in the library
2. Click properties (see image below)
3. Go to the general section
4. In the bottom text field, add -noeac

Brawlhalla will now launch with Easy Anti-Cheat disabled.

Please note that you will not be able to play in Ranked or Tournament lobbies when EAC is disabled. As of Patch 6.07, EAC is required for Ranked and Tournament lobbies.

add -framefixunbounded -setfps 60 to launch options (replace 60 with your monitor's refresh rate). if you get stuttering, use -framefix instead of both
