Ive been grinding scythe games and No matter what happens I cant quite get dodge reads down or what to do off of nair/dair (not grounded) etc

If you hit nair, reverse it and sair or jump and hit sair
If you hit dair just go for another dair or go slight If they instantly jump
On reading, if you see a dodge repeatedly, wait and hit them after they dodge. Reading isn't the easiest thing but it helps if you practice certain reads in training room

gotcha. Its really hard to practice in training mode for me personally and learn best in actual games but Ill try incorporating these strings into potential dodge reads. A lot of the time I just get super stressed out because I have a really hard time securing kills. Ill get someone to red and just struggle. I also have a lot of issues with never being able to get a hit in on diamonds but I guess thats kinda why they're high rank to begin with.

It is all a matter of practice and having a better feel and knowledge on weapon hitboxes and priority my friend
Also if people spot dodging is a problem you can use it as an advantage by reading it and delaying your next attack to hit them, tho more importantly is to not be predictable nice that is how you can get easily clapped, mix and match your options on the fly, weapom throw here and there

i dont think i saw anyone explain my bad if they did but weapon throws dont have a hitbox automatically they take some amount of frames before they can actually damage anyone, you just got pretty unlucky with that mechanic, the reason it didnt hit them after it hit the wall is because it didnt have enough momentum

that being said i would never throw a weapon like that if you wanna use it to cover you getting back to stage directly up while you're below it on lance for a free unarmed recovery is a lot better (and preferably while they're back on stage)

I only watched a minute but, I would recommend switching up your moves especially since you over use the sword attacks that have the most recovery frames, learn to play neatrul better cause it seems you keep trying to be over aggresive, then I have to say switch it up with hammar since you did the same thing 3 time and it didn't work but you kept going for it.
