Hey all. I've been having this problem with Brawlhalla for a couple of months now.
The game will freeze mid-game (regardless of whether I'm in a match or not) for approximately five seconds and basically holds my input in.
So if I'm running, I'll run off the map. If I'm still, I'm still until it stops freezing.

When it happens, the death noise plays but nobody actually dies (unless I do). People's stock also drop to one lower (as if they've died, it also plays the death noise)
As you can imagine, it's incredibly annoying and basically means I can't play, even with friends.

What I've tried:
Reinstalled on multiple drives, SSD/HDD (this seemed to work for a time before not working)
Deleting the replay folder contents every time I launch the game (this also seemed to work for a bit but maybe I was just having a lucky spell?)
Changing the power management in nvidia to maximum
Trying a different controller

It totally ruins my experience as every time it happens I die so I don't actually lose stock to players, I just run off the edge.

I do also have three monitors, which apparently could cause it, but I'd legit rather quit the game than un-plug my monitors every time I want to play Brawlhalla

Its like a free get back to stage tool if you use it right since it moves you so far and fast and if you do it into the wall you get your jumps back.
It's also really good for gimping since if you hit it it's sets up perfectly for dair/wall guard. Ontop or all of that it also kinda works out of dlight when they have no dodge
