Probably Mordex but unless you're 2400+, it won't really make a difference. The game is balanced enough that what you're personally good at makes more difference than any meta (except at the very top end). Pick whichever one has the secondary weapon you're best with, or whichever sigs you like best

I've always found strength legends are better for my playstyle since I can push an advantage better. Once you're at red, any further damage is arguably wasted so I like characters that can hit hard enough for prompt kills

Strength legends tend to have more powerful sigs too, which helps

high strength and low defense = good if ur bad at adapting (going for the same string/combo entire game)

Naturally sigs like that can filter you pretty hard but keep in my the hitbox of it and you'll generally be able to get an idea of what your opponent will do after the first stock or so, playing against spammers is just a matter of floating/parrying around them till they miss an obvious sig and punishing with a light attack

I actually would recommend to newer players to just try to use sigs to punish their opponents every time they miss

They’re going to learn the timing for the window of opportunity they have depending on the whiff that the enemy made a lot faster that way since they’re going to have to move into position pretty quickly to land signature punishes

And a lot of newer players struggle to get value from light attack punishes anyways, definitely learn all the combos on your weapon and be able to do them at a moments notice if you’re going to use light attacks to punish, you’ll have to use them eventually but in gold you still just need to get the feel for the amount of time you have and how much distance you can have between you and your opponent so that you can actually arrive to the place you intend to punish them at before they can escape

So I have been getting this error a lot lately and I have to essentially restart my PC every single time to play or if I wanted to reboot the game.

When does this error occur?
It used to occur every time I forced brawlhalla to end via task manager since the app wud show "running" status and followed up with a error msg from steam saying "app already running" when I wanted to reboot it
Now it appears to be permanent as it didn't go even after restarting the game couple of times plus it is a fresh installation.

The only thing I have done to brawlhalla is set it to high priority and EAC I think is in the default priority settings.

Plus the EAC website and yt suggest only restarting which is not ideal

so yea any fix?

Depends on playstyle and champ, if youre good at weaving good sigs in with attacks then it can work. An example would be someone like vraxx @stark swan plays him like that. But in general you're going to be using light attacks more when it comes to neutral

you can roughly use dlc pack prices (but not battle passes) as a scale

(this goes for every game and playstyle not just floaty and passive players)
the most important thing to do is to try to predict what theyll do; how are they approaching you, from what angle are they attacking, when do they attack, and what attack are they doing
eg this player always jumps such that theyre diagonal to me, waits till i throw out an attack, then try to punish me with falling scythe dair
next you need to be unpredictable such that they wouldnt be able to get away with the same option over and over again
at that point, youll be able to punish them, and if theyre stupid theyll keep doing the same mistake and youll just keep racking on damage
for floaty players esp having a good antiair sig or light attack can help, and some aerials can be avoided by either dash → pivot (turn around) → punish, or just backdash, and you can always just try timing a dodge
as for passive players who keep running away, theyre basically intentionally losing neutral, ie forfeiting map control and potentially even an advantageous position
and they do that to bait you into doing the same and then punishing you
so just dont take their bait and stay back, theyre tryna lame you out, so you outlame them
you can also keep dashing forward then backing up slightly just to fake them out and keep pressure, and it some point theyll get too tempted and try to attack, whiff, then get punished
and lastly if they shark on the wall just let wallslip do the job and punish their recovery when they try to get back to stage to reset their jumps (some ppl attack as they go up, so if you see that just dont get hit and punish it)

also id rec you go into experimental and try playing passively yourself maybe with the legend you struggle against the most
thatll kinda train your mind into thinking like those ppl so when when youre tryna fight them youll know exactly whats going on in their heads and youll be able to better read them

also, brawlhalla reserves the rights to ban whoever the hell they like, theres no "i didn't break any rules", if bmg want to ban someone they're allowed to, its their game. But as we said before its very rare that someone gets banned cause its a manual process, it can take days for people who are #1 in the world via boosting to get banned, its probably a bug unless you have reason to believe otherwise.

also we have no idea if they've improved that ban process since valhallan came out but again, i recommend messaging diffensive if you haven't already and say that you dont show up on leaderboards, show screenshots and explain, etc
