having an issue where whenever I tab into the game, the CPU usage reduces to 0 before gradually increasing back to normal usage. This usually leads to at least a 5-15 seconds of the game being frozen, and occasionally outright crashes the game. This happens whether the game is in fullscreen or windowed.
Note: The game is fine when I alt tab out of the game. It's only when I tab back into the game that the problem occurs

i always wondered what damage do, it onyl impacts damage of signatures right ? since weapons are the same for all charcters ?

the damage stance effects how much damage you deal on each move
if Xull with 10 damage does the same move as Lucien with 2 damage there would be a significant difference over all in damage output, effecting both signatures and light attacks.
damage effects both variable knockback and damage output, in almost the same way the defence stance effects both damage input and knockback taken
im not too sure on specific numbers but they can make a difference depending on playstyle and the weapon you play

basically alot of one stance will be noticeable against alot less of the stance

think of it as

here's an example
you're on spear against a nix. they do scythe ssig, and you jump to avoid them.
you're now above them.
fastfall while moving sideways and sair them.
on low damages you can followup into an nlight. true at 6+ dex but generally safe.
from there, if you predict they'd jump you can dash dlight, certain dodge directions can be caught with slight or dash slight, etc.

if they landed on the ground before doing it, you probably should've followed up after dlight

gravity cancelling is a pretty basic mechanic. nothing advanced.

after every hit that doesn't send your opponent far you need to plan on how to follow up. if you have an advantage, push it. force them to work for their stock.
