How does the clan work on brawlhalla

baring in mind this is all pc only currently. once you're level 15 you can make a clan and invite people to it ingame, from there you can see whos online, how much xp they contribute to the clan level, set a clan message everyone sees when they log in and manage your clan from the clan tab. really theres not much to it rather than a tag ingame however most established clans (generally have elo requirements but not all) have discord servers and some play in clan battles against other clans (5v5 usually), occasionally theres clan tournaments too

from what i understand about katars they kinda function similarly to scythe in that they spend the whole game either searching for strings or landing strings. katars doesnt really have approach options (with the exception of nair) so your gameplay mostly revolves around punishes and reads, such as catching landings (dlight/nlight), aerial movement (nair), dodges (basically any move), etc.

as for combos/strings, the dair > slight > (dash) dlight half pipe is the most common thing people use as its guaranteed after catching a dodge. slight > (dash) nlight, slight (dash) dlight, and nair > dlight are the most useful true combos (there's a couple others off nair that aren't as useful) and nlight rec is the best KO confirm as it's unjumpable

Yea it’s really only useful for greatsword dash cancels so unless you plan on learning gs don’t waste your time

No the reason it is useful is because after a hit if you press the dodge button you will either get a spot dodge or a chase dodge. This isn’t useful to help combo extend on gs so people started using the down dodge thing to dash when they should have chase dodged. If you aren’t using it to do that there is no reason to do it.

i use many characters : petra rayman hattori koji kaya mordex mirage yumiko but i want to use 1 character to main and put all my time in. Which would u say is arguably the best out of them in 1s and 2s

I wouldn't really main a character based off how good they are, for a few reasons:

1. everyone is viable in this game, no character will hold you back
2. you may have less enjoyment or skill on a character considered better than another, meaning you'd lose more even if the character is considered better
3. semi-frequent balance patches will mean you would need to change mains every few months (or less) to play the meta
4. the "meta" is vastly different at different rank ranges, characters like queen nai that destroy people who are new to the game are considered weaker at the highest level
5. the actual "meta" of this game is very opinion based as all weapons are balanced well enough that all are played at pro level

Cause of those reasons most people in help-booth will generally recommend you play who you enjoy/think is good rather than who is considered meta at the pro level, don't feel like you need to commit to one character either, generally if you want to commit to something it may be easier to focus on one weapon and then play a range of characters with that weapon until you find one or multiple that you really enjoy, but thats up to you of course

thats pretty bad, presuming you're using the server closest to you then you may find a wired connection could improve your connection, i'd also make sure nothing is downloading on your network as that can take most of your bandwidth, you could also try a different DNS (https://www.howtogeek.com/164981/how-to-switch-to-opendns-or-google-dns-to-speed-up-web-browsing/) if its only in brawl

once you get a fair bit in to 2400 you'll find its really difficult to lose it since you need a really bad loss streak and it can in some ways be easier to gain elo now than before

the way brawlhalla's netcode works is it predicts what will happen on the next frame then corrects it once you receive info from the server about what's happening in the match

with good connection that works seamlessly, but with poorer/unstable connection you get a teleporting effect

i'd recommend using ethernet instead of wi-fi if you're not already
