Ok I need some advice. I play brawlhalla on PS4 and I'm trying to decide whether on not to keep cross platform on. With every new update bmg is buffing up pc's game performance. The question is is it actually enough to cause a big enough unfair advantage that I am losing battles that I could be winning? Any advice helps thanks!

I'm not an expert of any kind.
But I assume you are talking specifically about ranked game-modes? otherwise it doesn't really matter.
I think that there is probably some sort of disadvantage, but the catch is you also get mobile players, and also if you turn off cross platform, you will face other tryhards who also turn off cross platform.
So i think it just results in, being less in a disadvantage, matching up against more tryharding opponents, and longer queues.

unless you are on mobile, i don't think it really makes sense to turn off cross platform, cause sure, you get some PC players, but you also get some mobile players, and as far as i can tell, PC > Console > Mobile.

You're not at a disadvantage, people can get diamond on mobile and people can get diamond on a 60 hz monitor,it's a difference in skill not a difference in equipment. You'll only be hindered if you're at pro level

lance has big weakpoints above and below it, utilise the weak points by using long range moves on your kit
cant counter bow
with blasters you just need to get up close to them, it has a weak point directly above them but decent blasters players with xpivot nair if they see you aproach from that angle

It's very close to not being supported but I believe it should be, it's hard to tell, I can check your logs and see if there's anything I can learn from them about your issue, do this -

1. attempt to open brawlhalla WITHOUT the launch option -noeac
2. close the game and press windows key + R,
3. type %appdata%\EasyAntiCheat
4. drag both service.log and anticheatlauncher.log files from windows explorer into my discord DM (i will send you a message)

Are you telling me I ALSO need a graphics card for EAC?

You can get diamond with literally any character all are viable,.play who you enjoy or are good on.
Learn from your losses, make sure you understand why you lost especially if you got destroyed (like 3 stocked or close) and if you're not sure watch the replay back and look for bad habits you have and then avoid repeating them.
Learn to read your opponents plats have mostly bad dodges you can abuse.
Watch pro games to get an idea of techniques you can use or how you "should" play a weapon/character.
Make sure you're getting out of strings with jump/fast fall if you have no dodge.
You can use gimmicks like light attacks into sigs or just cheesy sigs in neutral to give you an upper hand just don't be obvious about it

There's 3 parts to beating sig spammers:

1. Predict - Know what they'll do next. That's easier if they just use the same move.
2. Evade - Dodge/jump the attack. Knowing how signatures work give you an edge.
3. Punish - Use the opportunity to get damage on them. Hit and run or a string, you choose.

If they're not compelled to attack, fake going in to encourage them to attack, then predict and punish them.
